  1. Its not about how much dmg Its about the time to kill aspect. Every op would be crazy to disagree that you need a nerf. BUT I do think they are nerfing the wrong things. Or at least nerfing too much in the wrong areas. Instead of decreasing armorpen they should be looking at why the time to kill is too low. Maybe a cooldown on hidden strike, a heat increase on lacerate. But as I said any op would have to be out of their mind if they didn't see a nerf coming.
  2. First off WoW is a clone of every other game. Only thing in wow that was blizzards idea and blizzards Idea alone was the way arena functions now. And even then the basis of it came from warhammer online. Please trolls please dont speak on what you know nothing about kk thx.
  3. 2 words. Micro transaction
  4. They are actually far from confirmed. If you read redit at all you would know this. Stephen Reid- "I want a player who is comfortable with their class to be able to play around with different builds. But at the same time I don't want players to be switching builds in the middle of combat or in between defeats in a warzone. If the cost of respec becomes to much of a deterrence we will work on lowering the cost." Every word is not exact cause I couldn't find the post but that is what his 2 cents were on dual specs. BUT he has stated recently. Q: do you think that alternative specs will be allowed at some stage in the future? Also, legacy system, any further insight you are willing to share with us at this point in time? Stephen Reid- Dual specs could well come at some point in the future - it's been discussed for sure. Legacy System... will be cool? . So it neither confirmed or denied on if this will happen or not. Right now tho most people will be happy with the lowered cost of respecing. It will allow for the tweaking of different builds with out having a deterrence of doing so. The major reason why people have an outcry thus far about respecs is the fact of the cost is more than you generally make in a day and people don't wanna farm to play the game. If farming to play the game is what we are all into we would just go play EVE online.
  5. Yoda used a Shoto and I'm pretty sure he was a consular.
  6. First off The game I agree needs some type of exportable combat log. there is no argument there. The problem that "recount" will cause will be exactly who its precived in other mmos. A huge EEPEEN meter and who ever is highest on it has the bigest eepeen. When no one ever takes the time to look at Intterupts, Dispells, Overhealing, damage taken,Tools used that your class has to make the fight easier for everyone but worse for your self. IE deathgrip. If a recount-esk addon was developed. It would have to be delecate and provide a whole range of information other than OMG DMG OVER 9000!. I think Swtor would be better off releasing their equations of for their RNG in abilities as well as their coefficients and what not. People can then make charts and scaling guides to figure out the best way to play a class/ spec. Versus flat our releasing the API to the combat log and be like here you go guys. Some unguided data determine it as you will.
  7. Well since everyone wants to compare this game to WoW lets do so for a moment. WoW released with 350,000 box sales ( Stated at a press release 2 weeks afterwords) and 250,000 toons made the first day. It released with 47 reported bugs 9 of them were game breaking. ~Had 0 raid content ~Quest were all text based. 0 cinematic. The only cinematic you have seen in WoW before WoTLK was when you first installed the game in both vanilla WoW and Burning crusade. ~Had 0 voice acting except for until Burning crusade and even then it Was Chris Metzhen doing all the acting. And EVERY Tuesday from the day the game released all the way until the end of 3.3.3 brought New Game breaking bugs i.e Lag, Disconnects, Exploits, Boss bugs Etc. The average wait time for them to fix a bug each week lasted for about a week. Raids and new content was released every year. Burning crusade was released every 10 months WoTLK was released every 7~10 months Cata So far 6~9 months. Bottom line it took WoW 7 years to get to where it is today. And still is not the pinnacle of success.
  8. You couldn't be more wrong dude. This game is about the journey not about the destination. If you wanna become a sith who has learned the true meaning of The Force and has become neither light or dark like Revan or has turned to the Light side. You should be able to venture as one. Not because oh I wanna use red light sabers when im maxed level -_-.
  9. Until we as the consumer want something and will guarantee success of something different and innovative. There will not be a market for MMO's that will blow us away and be out of this world. Thus companies will never invest in one. It is our responsibility as the consumer to take blame for why every MMO feels like playing WoW and why WoW feels like playing every other mmo. Think of DCUO. They Offered something totally different from WoW. Did they make it? No. Why? Cause we as the consumer didn't want the change. Case rested.
  10. Most weapons in the game provide little to no change in graphics. The most you will see is the upfront difference of a commando/vanguard guns. Most weapons you have to zoom in to compare graphical differences. This includes and is not limited to light sabers. I was content with the amount of different graphics for the hilts. If you want variance in your sabers you can use a Vibersword or change the color crystal in your light saber. There's nothing you could have expected from this game more. Light sabers general all look the same to one another in star wars lore other than the colors.
  11. The only thing original that wow has was the arena system. And even then its just a more refined version of something warhammer already had. So when you say Borrowed from wow you really mean Borrowed from the MMO genre. EDIT: oh and sorry WoW did have a very original crafting system for back in that day. Most MMO's crafting system generally had a risk for loss. May it be Items used in the crafting or major amount of time sinks where the crafting failed.
  12. You guys do know how bug resolution works right? Bug resolution works in Phases as well as in teams. They have separate team of developers working on different issues. Although one might be more important than the other. The less important bug was in this one groups list to do and not that game breaking ones. usually the smaller bugs are given to interns or developers with less experience. And are generally able to supersede the output of the senior developers cause of the vast majority of smaller bugs there are.
  13. A wild Wall of text has appeared. ~pokemon battle music~ Meminemall uses RUN Does not work Wall of text uses Slam Meminemall Dodges. Meminemall Cast read Read is super ineffective Wall of text cast Body Slam Wall Of text crits Meminemall for 9001 Wall of text's Body slam was super critical Wall of Text's Body slam was Super effective ~You have been defeated ~ you have been revived at the pokecenter.
