  1. Verry nice guide. The one thing I disagree with (at least in flashpoints and in some cases raids) is standing still. I wouldnt actually suggest it. Alot of times its MUCH easier for the healer to run to the tank than to wait for the tank to come to the healer. Granted its still situational but you seemed to want to drive that point and standing still and going to the tank are both situational. However you are spot on by saying dont just run around like a duck with its tail on fire.
  2. At 25 playing a healing sorc I kinda feel blah. I just checked tonight at the skill trainer and I see with exception of 1 or 2 more skills my solo killing rotation is set. Which, is efficient but rather boring. As for healing flashpoints goes? Maybe its just me but it feels boring as hell. I love healing. Its usually one of the more exciting jobs (especcialy in pugs) in MMO's. But with sorc I'm not waiting for any procs to speak of. I use 2 heals at this level and the shield. All I have to look forward to is one more heal and a group heal. At least at 25 I only have the force to heal and thats it. I'm not giving up yet on sorc healing though. Its easy enough to level. I just hope by endgame if healing itself doesnt get more exciting I'm hoping I'm able to keep up healing (still have a couple talents that will provide better HPS and 100 more force to go) and toss a few dps spells as well. Also I did try lightning for a little bit. At least leveling wise its extreemly boring. As healing spec I am able to send Khem after one pack of regular and I can go take out another and even with a strong mob its fun and chaotic. That or I'm finding out if I really want to I can have Khem gather up 3 groups, hide behind something to pull the ranged mobs in and just heal him and wipe them out fast. He can tank just fine and has much better AoE in 2 skills than you do lol.
  3. I would simply say you are probably playing way more on average per day than there average player. To do all quests, a couple flight missions, a flashpoint, and a couple warfronts in a day would make me think you are playing 5+ hrs a day. I may be wrong and you may just be verry efficient. Are you watching all of the dialog? No? Then you arent the average user (meaning you played in beta, know the story, and are skipping stuff intended to be a timesink). I dunno maybe I'm wrong but it feels slower leveling than it did in wow and rift which feel by far faster than here. Took me a week to get to 50 in rift and I never played beta. I'm not even 30 here and tomorrow will be a week.
  4. So you purchased the CE when you could have known over half of your complaints well before game launch. Somehow I feel the need to laugh at you and not complain to Bioware. I agree with alot of what you said. But I bought the regualr edition knowing what I was getting into and knowing it would only last me untill GW2. Joke is on you. Not the fact that the product is a recycled MMO.
  5. Awesome. Maybe my 12/2 date of getting in tomorrow will be moved up to today It was nice to see at least yesterday they started to give alittle more information on just how far along they where to. I think alot of peoples whining might have faded at least alittle had they known so many invites where going out.
  6. Hard to tell really without knowing how many December pre-orders they have had so far. Stephen Ried said that there would be an update today (probably after the last wave of invites) letting us know the plan for tomorrow. I could see them doing a few waves of invites tomorrow and then just letting everyone in at the end of the day. Or it could be saturday before they activate all accounts. Either way I would say you will definitly be in by saturday morning/midday at the latest.
  7. Do you mean you should have comprehended what you read? Then you are 100% correct. The car analogy is actually fairly spot on. But as a consumer its YOUR job to "read between the lines" as you put it. Its the lawyers and PR peoples job at companies to make it look as good as possible without being false advertising.
  8. No, the proper awnser is everyone who bothered to read at all knew they would be getting in later than others...period. The only reason people who pre-ordered earlier have a "right" as you put it is because Bioware decided to do EGA diffrent than every game before it. And no, I'm not in now. I wont be in till tomorrow most likely with a 12/2 preorder date. Also, people did NOT pay an extra $5. $5 where taken out early as a pre-order reserve as a precaution against people who would pre-order, get there EGA code and then cancel. Effectivly useing it as a free trial to the game. In the end you will pay the same as someone who buys it on the 20th. Get over it.
  9. Luckily my friend and I pre-ordered within a week or two of eachother. 12/2 for me and I think it was like 12/8 or something like that for him. So we will be getting in on friday, hopefully in the same wave. If I am to believe what SR said, and I do.
  10. I thought I was late november but since I procrastinated its actually 12/2. So I'll see all of you friday
  11. I dont feel screwed. Unlike most people when I buy something, even a game, I read every little bit of information before/when I'm buying. Also unlike most people it seems, I can comprehend what I'm reading. That said I do not know what origin is saying now.
  12. At this rate it looks like I will be right. Said in a few other threads that I figured almost everyone will be in by fridays final wave. Of course anything can happen but going off what the OP has reported tomorrow will seem smaller because they will be getting the last of the 2nd large spike of orders finished up and get into early/mid november. That would mean there really isnt a reason to have almost, if not everyone in Friday. That and even right now at primetime the servers are all showing standard population. So if everyone is in by friday I guess the massive amount of whining would have been for nothing.
  13. If it makes you feel any better I'm American and I fully agree with you. But it has always been this way for EU unfortunatly. Get togeather and complain enough and things will change eventually. Untill then be prepared to be screwed into no play during your primetime while they patch during our downtimes.
  14. New waves wont be going out for just over 2hrs (I think). I'm on the side of I dont expect to get in before the 19th and people need to stop being childish. But even I may change my mind come TOMORROW (when EGA was suposed to start initially) at primetime if the servers are all saying high/full.
