Hello all, Well I've been looking at the game over the last couple of months and decided to give the it a try. I've played a bit over the last few years, but never made much progress in the game and I'm not sure why. I never seem to find a class that I enjoy playing. Almost all the games I've played my choice of class/character has always been ranged based. I like standing at the back to do my thing I guess! Am I making the right choice when it comes to the Bounty Hunter or the Trooper? Is one "better" then the other? Also, I like a class that doesn't have long rotations and is an easy class to learn/understand. Does anyone have some wise words of advice please? Many thanks

Hello, I'm not sure if this a bug or not, but thought I'd post it here. Last night while the min download was being done I noticed there were speech while creating a new character. Today the game is 100% downloaded but the voices have gone while creating a new character. I tried to run the repair from the launcher but I can't click the 'repair' button. Says it's only activated after patching has completed or when errors are detected. Has any other players noticed this? Thanks

Hi players of the Old Republic, Its been awhile since I last played and have decided to give the game another try. I'm going to be rolling a new character and have been looking at the ranged classes within the game. I really enjoy playing this type of character/class and wondering are they good to level up with? I'm not looking for something that has a lot of abilities or long rotations and of course a DPS roll is something I'm currently looking at. Is the ranged a wise choice for a returning player? I'm not really into melee characters - I just can't get the hang of the combat and being up close in combat. Its not my thing. Thank you

Hello, Yesterday I collected a couple of Datacrons in the starting area and have been wondering if it's okay to come back at a later level and start collecting the rest? I've never had a higher level character and would like to focus my time in reaching this goal first. Will it have much of an impact on my characters stats if I come back and start collecting the Datacrons later on when my character is higher? Many thanks

I wondered because an item under mod said hilt (14) and I wasn't sure where that figure came from. I thought it was the level of the item.

Hi all, I've just recently returned to the game and have started to level my character up a bit now. I have a question about an item I found and the item modifications on that item. On the item it stated Hilt (12) but I viewed the item by CTRL clicking it, the Hilt said level 11 on it? What's the difference between these two numbers and what do they mean? Are they linked to my level? Thanks
