  1. I have the same issue, for the the 3rd day now. For some reason I was told by Customer Service to play Chapter 1 again to fix the Sana-Rae in Chapter IX, and my ticket was closed. I duly did play Chapter 1 again, but not so very surprisingly that did not make Sana-Rae appear in Chapter IX... Wrote a new ticket, but there has been the sound of crickets ever since. No reply, no contact from Customer Service. Based on the previous post in this thread the Customer Service can fix the problem if they just want to, but apparently they were happy to give me an absolutely wrong answer and then leave me in Limbo
  2. BioWare CS has been trigger happy since day one of SWTOR. I got an official warning a couple weeks after the game released. The reason for the warnig was that I had according to the CS used a derogatary comment against others in my post. What was my crime? I wrote something along the lines "An Euroweenie like me does not like the servers going down in prime time during a Friday evening". One must not mock oneself on BioWare forums. If you do that you will recieve a warning In all honesty I think the CS just saw some of the American posters use the Euroweenie in a post, and then blanket warned *everybody* who happened to have the word in their post. You know, if a wanted criminal is hiding on a ship, it is better to sink the ship with all hands, just to be sure. Seems BioWare still believes in that policy.
  3. I thought it was the Aussies who are all Bruce, kiwis are also Bruce?
  4. Ok, so who pooped up the swtor.com now? Everything is in French, except the German section is in German. I understand the French section should be in French, but I don't quite get why the American... errr... sorry, English parts of the site are also in French now?
  5. To OP: Every Heroic+4 mission can be completed on level solo by a healer or shadow/assassin tank. Other tanks can complete Heroic+4 missions when they are 1-3 levels higher than the mission level. DPS toons can complete Heroic+4 missions when they are 3-5 levels higher than the mission level (ie when the mission is still green). Heroic+2 missions are solo content, no matter what class you are. The only exception are the Heroics which require several buttons to be pressed at the same time. Anyway, that is why you see no tanks or healers queue for the Heroic missions on planets. Tanks and healers already completed them solo, without the hassle of having to bang head on table when that random DPS guy again does something stupid and then rolls Need on gear meant for the tank or healer. Doing the Heroics solo means you are guaranteed to get the loot, and it also means you have to focus and use your brain slightly instad of the usual (but slow) grind. Such is life. DPS toons rush through regular content like a hot knife through butter. Tanks and healers also walzes through regulard content without any sweat, it just takes more time, time which they could just as well spend on soloing Heroics.
  6. This is about trash fights, right? Because in boss fights things are quite different. Anyway, during trash fights when I tank (level 50 Jugger and Guardian here) I hope the DPS initially doesn't whack what I as the tank am whacking. Let the tank build up aggro on the main target(s), DPS nuke out the others who will otherwise go for the healer. After the adds have been cleared out, nuke out what ever the tank is targeting. As a healer (level 50 Commando and Sorcere here) I love DPS who kill all the mobs going for me, as a tank I love it when I know the DPS will take out the easy mobs going for the healer while I keep the attention of the biggest baddies, and as a DPS (level 55 Sniper and Gunslinger here) I love it when I can use the big nukes all the time (first to take out the easy targets, then nuke on the targets the tank has already had some time to build aggro on; it is always so boring to go easy with DPS early on in boss fights, isn't it? ).
  7. You must be new to Trooper... Aric Jorgan is the way to go for Combat Medics. You heal-tank through anything (including on-level Heroic+4 missions) while Aric guns down the mobs.
  8. Personally I think the PvP (well, Warzones) is in better shape than it was before 2.0. I had WHE gear (which I still mostly use at 55; ok, I admit, I have swapped in some PvE gear). Ok, so bolster is royally pooped up atm (yes, I too remove relics still, and yes I was running WZ's naked last week), but other than that I really do like what BioWare attempted to do here (I have to admit I am quite shocked I actually think BioWare did something remotely right for PvP...). Warzones are now much more equal fights than they were before 2.0. Equal fights are more tense. Tense matches are more fun. Fun is why I play games. Maybe the equal ground in Warzones now is because people still are getting used to the mega low TTK (which needs to be fixed), maybe it is because there still are so few level 55's around so that those who take part in PvP prolly have taken part in PvP before and have a clue (as time will go by there will be more level 55's, which means more clueless people in WZ's). Or maybe it is because those one-button wonders who would fail hard as PvPers otheriwise if it wasn't for their massive Expertise advantage do not have that advantage anymore. The mega-fail PvPers actually have to learn to play now instead of relying on their gear, which of course must suck for them.
  9. I really don't expect to get to Makeb tomorrow. The combined effect of servers being down for longer than expected (we all know it is going to happen), downloading the patch *and* the rush to Makeb will mean I don't expect to see it tomorrow. But on Wednesday I'll be there with my Sniper, and after that the next in line is my Gunslinger. After that the Jugger, the Commando, the Sorcerer and then the Guardian (who I got to 50 this morning).
  10. I haven't really used any of the tank companions (except to take out for a swing once to see how they are, and they all are the same) who are not first companions (like Kaliyo, Khem Val, Corso, etc). Why use a tank companion when you can use a DPS companion (and rip down everything fast) or a healing companion (to heal you when you rip things apart). Also, my medic commando didn't use Elara at all. Now that you can spec for free I could well imagine to use Elara while I solo in DPS spec, but back then I went in healing spec all the time, so using a healer companion for a healer was just plains stupid (and my medic commando is the only pure healer I've leveled up).
  11. Nick stuff from Warhammer Online. There never was a lack of tanks for PvE, because tanks where good in PvP. WAR is the only game I've played where there was an abudance of tanks for PvE content - using taunt on a player sees them do 25% less damage and healing until they have hit the taunting tank a couple times (or the taunter dies or the taunter starts attacking another target) , as well as the tank doing 25% more damage on the taunted target until the target has whacked a couple times the taunter - give tanks an ability (on a cooldown) to automatically block next attack against a given close-by friend - *reward* tanks using taunt and protecting friends; not the pitiful "reward" SWTOR has now for "protecting" (aka in SWTOR language "take the damage instead of the guarded target, and die even faster because of that") , but actual good rewards Just because EA-Mythic messed up WAR in a absolutely fantastic way (destroying the fun parts of the game) does not diminish the fact that there was never a shortage of tanks in WAR. Tanking was fun in WAR. It is after all a game from this same company, so it shouldn't cause any hassle what so ever to use the good ideas from WAR
  12. One of the Heroics on Coruscant gives the white-red "Trooper" armour as reward (when you do it as a trooper), it is the problems with deed Heroic if I remember correctly. It doesn't have class requirement though, so you can put it on your all companions. I have it on all companions of my Commandos, as well as the helmet from one of the Nar Shaddaa heroics (except Tanno and Yuun, as their helmets are not visible anyway).
  13. Do I understand the OP right, he says WoW is more simple than SWTOR? That is like comparing wether the person with IQ 78 is dumber than his friend who got IQ 79 in one test and 77 in another... Yes, three years olds can play WoW, I know that from experience. But three years olds can also play SWTOR, I know that too from experience (they just space-bar through the dialogs and press number 1 when the dialogue wheel pops up; then again, that is what I bet 99% of the players do anyway, so not much difference there ).

  15. Not likely now any of the servers are full, but the English language servers in EU are full in the evenings. During the weekend I had to sit in the queue a couple times (to the Progenitor) even though I am a subscriber; however, the queues lasted both times maybe 10 seconds. A friend of mine told the situation on Red Eclipse was however worse during the weekend, but I have no first hand experience on that.
  16. Player A is a rat and thief. I would immediatly put him on ignore and advice my friends and guild-mates to do the same. Not only that, because Player A is an obvious ***-hat, I would ask the group members to kick Player A. Player A is very likely going to roll NEED on every loot from now on. If the vote to kick him wouldn't go through, then I would immediatly leave the group, no point staying in a group who actively support stealing and ***-hattery,
  17. On my Crossfired cards the stuttering is now gone. I turned nameplates back on and set everything to very high, an d game is smooth again (~90 FPS). Quite a difference to the slideshow the game became with 1.4, altough when turning shadows and nameplates off the game was playable except the occasional stutters (the map however was strobolightning mess and totally useless). With yesterdays patch all stuttering gone, map is better than it ever was, the game looks better than ever before, and everything is as smooth as it was before 1.4.
  18. For Gunslingers the off-hand attack will miss quite often even with those accuracy numbers. I bet the "missed" messages you get are from your off-hand shots.
  19. I did it back in January with all the bugs and fight resets. Had to kill Jadus five times because the battle did reset twice just moments before he died. Took me all of a Sunday afternoon to complete it back then
  20. I had no problems doing the Jadus fight as a Marksman Sniper at 29, it was very easy in fact. I took along Kaliyo for the fight. The thing is to interrupt all the long cast spells, you have four interrupts at use (Cover Pulse, Flash Bang, Debilitate, Distraction) and if you are Marksman you have a fifth in Ambsuh (and if you get a Seismic Grenade from a Cybertech you have a sixth interrupt; as I have Cybertech I had all six interrupts at use which made this fight a walk in the park). Jadus has a very long casting time on the killer thingies, so you should have plenty of time to interrupt them. I started each of the three fights with Kaliyo on Passive, so that I got in the opener bursts from maximum range. When Jadus starts to cast first killer spell, just break Line of Sight so he cancels the casting and comes running for you; this is the moment when I tagged Kaliyo on him. From that on it was easy, just interrupt the mega casts and you are good to go. Start the next rounds when your skills are back from cooldown, and the fight will be an easy stroll in the park.
  21. My personal top three 1) Kaliyo 2) Vette 3) Aric Jorgan Why? Because they all say "Yes sir". That is what I want my companions to answer me. Ok, so they all say it with a totally different tone, from the sincere and professional soldiery Aric, to the teasing tone of Vette, to the crazy ironic Kaliyo. And the best is of course Kaliyo: "Yes, sir, locked and loaded, sir. What are you looking me for, I just shoot things."
  22. Yes, I work Monday-Friday 7 to 15 local time, which is pretty normal around here. Last night servers were down still at 20 local time when I attempted to log on, don't know when they went up as I went to do other stuff and then to bed (because I have to get up early in the morning to get to work). Essentially I can't play on the days BioWare does maintanance in SWTOR, simply because BioWare apparently isn't aware there are other time-zones in EU in addition to the GMT time-zone (and I do feel for the Oceanian players, they have it even worse than the EU players). When WoW is on maintanance on Wednesdays they are always up when I get home, not to mention the daily EVE maintanance which also is when people actually are at work. Essentially I am thus losing 8-10 days of SWTOR gaming a month, and I pay the full EU price (ie quite a bit more than USA customers) for that. When I subscribe to WoW, EVE, TERA or any major MMO that is not an issue. It is *only* BioWare who has decided to piss on EU customers. No matter which way I look at it, as an EU customer I pay more for less, when compared with USA customers.
  23. I did quit in January because of the phooked up maintanance schedule for EU players. It was absolutely horrible. The game was fun, but BioWare treating EU customers as their piss-pot didn't feel great. I resubbed three weeks ago. The game was still great. What is more, the game didn't seem to have those freakish maintenances anymore. All that was changed yesterday. EU customers still apparently are paying more for less As for SWTOR dieing because it goes free to play? Nope,SWTOR will not "die" because of that. SWTOR will get lots of more players, quite a few of them will happily pay some micro-transactions and BioWare will benefit. The leveling part of the game *is* fun, and there will be enough people at top level grinding themselves gear etc. I for one will be a free player, I don't see myself paying a cent more. I will have access to the class stories even without paying anything, and the BioWare policy against non-american customers won't affect that much (I for one can't complain anymore I am paying more for less; I am not paying anything, so I am not entitled to expect anything).
  24. Coming back to the game I (of course) rolled a new marksman sniper (the old one still exists somewhere, but as I had been gone for months (and the old guild I was in is long gone) I decided I'll roll a new one to re-learn the ropes, and then I sort of got stuck with it; besidesI like the attitude of people on The Progenitor, even towards un-guilded people like me ). In addition if you are a Marksman, leave and enter cover every 6-8 seconds (I don't have a timer, but I know how to count to four, aka four global cooldowns) when you are focused on by lots of enemies. The auto-absorbs for going into cover increase survivability by lots. Personally I use Kaliyo always. Lokin isn't suitable for my style, it seems, even though I have had him with up to date gear (easy to do that these days (compared to when I was playing my previous sniper in December/January), social gear and cyber, with commendations used for the enhancements). In chaff fights Kaliyio is excellent in the AoE situations (just AoE stuff fown), and in tough fights I use Kaliyo as a CC of sorts. Ie. tag her on one nasty mob while I take care of the rest, she will do fine until I can deal with the mob she is concentrating on. With all the CC's and interrupts the sniper has at use (plus the concussion grenades from cyber) and pumping in and out of cover makes a humongous difference. Stuff die fast and it is quite hard for mobs to actually hurt. Just use the correct CC on correct targets; ie Legshoot the melee mob, Flashbang (and/or use concussion grenades if you are a cyber) at the ranged mobs, etc. So far I've completed Chapter 1 at level 29 and Chapter 2 at level 36.
