  1. Arena style pvp in an MMO only really works if you homogenize each class, thus taking away the point in having different classes in the first place. It also goes without saying that this has a negative effect in PVE and overall gameplay as classes are deprived of 'cool' abilities as they are usually overpowered in PVP. If you want to PVP at a high level then play some Lol, starcraft or some other generic FPS. The closest you'll probably get to balanced PVP in the third person format is diablo 2 and possibly/probably diablo 3 when it's released later this year. inb4 "PVPERS ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS TOO!1111"
  2. This would probably just encourage a bunch of useless players to crowd up the PTS for a title and not actually test anything.
  3. If you have a bad tank you will notice this by him losing agro and generally being quite sluggish picking it up. If you have a bad healer, people will die, including the tank at seemingly random times. If you have a bad dps, well... you finish the instance a few minutes later. Without enrage timers DPS have an incredibly low skill cap in regards to actually playing their class and not just moving out of fire.
  4. Play if you think the game is fun. Don't if you don't. It's really as simple as that. Good day.
  5. The biggest problem with the initial Slicing model was that it required zero interaction with the other players on the realm. It was effectively just a crew skill that printed money. This eventually would have lead to extreme inflation as people made alts and got slicing on all of them. If they add anything to slicing it needs to be an item that is bought and sold through trade but returning slicing to its previous state is certainly not an option if you want the game to develop a healthy economy.

  7. Even if this was a single player game, £40 is neither a ton of cash or more than you would expect to pay for one.
  8. This is the worst thing about the game at the moment. Queues are fine and predictable but getting dc'd for 30 secs after queuing for over 2 hours and then having to re-queue really is a joke.
  9. The extra options are fine; the problem is that they are mandatory. Just allow people to only type in a word into the search box and hit search, if people want to define it better then the tools for that are already there.
  10. What 90% of you fail to realise is that these caps are ARTIFICIAL and are implemented by Bioware ON PURPOSE. They are doing their best to balance servers out so that as few servers as possible are dead in a month or two. There's a reason why companies like Blizzard charge £15 for a server transfer and if you think transferring characters is something they can just implement over night then you are sadly and drastically mistaken. Not that they are so short-sighted they would consider this anyway. TL;DR Bioware know what they're doing. Suck it up and re-roll or **** and be grateful that they're trying to add longevity to the game which is what any successful MMO needs. I must admit though, no grace period on a disconnect is horrific.
