  1. @the OP. I am guessing that you are not married as you would know that your wife's opinion is always correct. The only time it is not correct is when she is talking to your Mother in Law who is always correct no matter how wrong she is. You have a lot to learn my young Padawan. Come back when you have gotten married. Only then will you understand the Power of the Darkside (and by Darkside I mean your Mother in Law).
  2. Well I completed the 20x PVP matches. The experience was horrible. Am a PVE player, I enjoy the story lines and questing. I do not like PVP as a melee class in full tanking gear (It is not so bad if I play my healer on Imperial side). There is nothing fun about getting into a fight and just been stunned all the time whilst you watch your health go to 0%. I wasn't one of those players that go AFK, I got into the fights. However it is my team I felt sorry for. I really did bring nothing to the match, my damage output in full tanking gear and spec was abysmal. Sure I used taunt all the time and put my shield onto a healer, but lets be honest and say that it isn't fun. Out of the the matches we won twice....... yup, thats 16 losses and 2 wins (2x for a win). Rather demoralising wouldn't you say.
  3. This last part is perfect in summing up the issue. Am now 12 games into my 20 and I hate it, I have lost a lot of love for this expansion due to this.
  4. My 2 cents on the issue with PVE players being forced to PVP. As a 100% PVE player I hate the fact that I have to take part in PVP in order to progress in a PVE story line. I bring nothing to a PVP match, I don't have the gear and I don't really know what I am doing. All I see is my health bar going from 100% to 0% in seconds, re-spawning and dying again. So far out of the 20 matches I have to play, I have played 4. Everyone a loss. I don't feel like I have contributed in anyway to the match. Add to that the vitriolic comments towards PVE players from PVP players and the experience is even worse. I really don't want to play any more matches.
  5. Don't know if it just me, but I am really struggling on my inquisitor to heal since 3.0. Am level 60 and have the full set of Force Healer gear from doing all the quests. Tonight I bought the Yavin Force Healers robe and decided to try out an heroic. Now I don't know if it was an under geared tank or if my healing sucked, but I struggled to keep him alive. I mentioned this to my friend who logged he lvl56 Scoundrel healer and we started to do some comparisons. He was out healing me by a massive amount. This is what is making me think that Sage/Inquisitor healing is struggling since 3.0. What are your thoughts on this ? Anyone else finding it difficult to heal since 3.0 ?
  6. Very easy way to over come this. Other MMO's have done the same and it has been very successful. Simply put you have to do a set % of damage/healing/damage received to the boss. Now the Revanite Walker has 100,000,000 health, so lets say to get credit for the kill you will need to do 100k damage/healing/damage received (as a tank). Works well in every other game they have this in. And as I stated, I don't want any loot, all I want is credit for the kill. The quest you are on about is a solo quest, and yes while it is frustrating to be waiting only to have someone tag it 1/2 a second before you it is nothing compared to not being able to complete a quest due to not being able to get into a group.
  7. I can't believe that this MMO still does not allow people to get credit for helping to kill an open world raid style boss. Today on Yavin 4 people were getting a group together to kill the Revanite Walker. The group was full with 5-6 of us not it in. Yet we stayed behind to assist in the kill. Yet not one of us not in the group got credit for assisting, even though we all died a few times and were there for the entirety of the fight. Pretty much every other MMO now grants credit towards a kill of this sort without being in the group that first attacks it. I just cant believe that SWToR still does not sign up to this. I am not looking for loot from assisting outside of the group, I just want credit so I can complete my quest. Am not in a big guild and we only have a few members who all work different times etc..... so getting a group in guild to do something like this is kind of difficult. Pugging is a viable option, however the group that killed it today took 45mins to get together, and still a few of us missed out due to it being full. I don't really want to continue waiting around in the hopes that maybe another group is formed and as it isn't listed in the LFG tool it is kind of frustrating to not actually be able to easily find a group. Cant we get this changed ? As I stated, I don't want any loot from the boss. I just want credit for killing it so I can move on with my quests.
  8. hahahahaha no refunds after I spent nearly 700,000 credits on my Inquisitor @lvl 60. 700,000 credits. So next week the people that weren't faithful enough to the franchise and didn't pre-order are getting it for free whilst those of us that had enough faith and support for the game are getting screwed over. Am sorry, but this is a slap in the face to those of us that have supported the game by pre-ordering.
  9. Don't know if I am brave enough to heal a PuG Flashpoint yet. I have noticed that my heals aren't exactly impressive which does concern me. As for Roaming Mend, only used it on my companion in solo FP's so far and I have to say I can see it being helpful.
  10. I don't know what genius decided to make the item a "Grey". Spent an hour getting one of the datapads only to send out my companion to sell items when my bags filled up. Yup bye bye datapad. Not happy. For the love of Jebus make it a white mission item so it goes into our mission item bag.
  11. I loved that Datacron. My friend and I spent ages getting that one. Had a lot of laughs at my own fails and my friends. The sense of accomplishment when we finally got to the end was great. More like these would be fun. The grind of the new Rishi ones is just silly.
  12. How about you post something constructive instead of posting crap like you have. @OP I gave up for the time being trying to get that datacron. Too many people around and server seemed awfully laggy tonight. I do agree with you though. I love the challenge of jumping puzzles and discovering how to get to the datacrons.
  13. Hmmmmmm this is rather disappointing. My and I both started our mains at the same time and levelled together up to 55. We only get to game together on a weekend and have been looking forward to new content since the expansion was announced. Am really hoping that this is a bug and that we will be able to do the same quests at the same time. Fingers crossed.
  14. For the love of all that is holy, please do something about the loading screens. They are getting longer. I would have thought that with my system specs that the loading times would be considerably shorter. 2x 256gb SSD in Raid 1 24gb RAM 6x core processor Please for the love of Jebus sort this out.
  15. We have tried all of this. We have stood on top of the barrels, to the side, in front, behind, on top at one end, on top at the front, on top on either side. We have tried one person a seperate barrel each meaning 4x chances for them to explode. We also remove the tentacles on top of the barrels (well the healer does). My group has finally come the decision to quit the quest. We cant be bothered trying anymore.
  16. We know about the clearing of the tentacles on top of the barrels, the healer clears them as we go along. We ONLY stand next to cleared barrels. So today we all tried again. 2 hrs later and we gave up. We all looked on the internet to see if others are having this issue. There are lots of posts saying the same as what I have said. The hit detection of the boss is insanely crappy. There were a few suggestions saying "Try standing on top", "Try standing to the side" or " Try standing behind the barrel". None of them worked with any frequency. We may have gotten 1-2 barrels explode in the fight before we reset. To be honest my group is now giving up on this. After so many complaints nothing has been done. We watch videos on others doing the fight and we read up to get clear tactics and these fail to work. It is rather depressing to have spent so long on this questline only to have to drop it so close to the end due to it being buggy.
  17. For the love of all that is holy, FIX THIS BOSS. We have been trying for over 3 hrs now to kill this crappy boss all to no avail. The problem lies in the fact the the boss does not explode the barrels when he comes back. Every member of our group stood on top of the same barrel as we killed the last tentacle, yet the boss fails to detonate it. We had so many attempts on this crappy boss. Each time we reset we had maybe 1-2 lucky barrel explosions. The rest of the time was a complete waste as the boss comes back and just starts pounding on us. No matter what we tried it made no difference. We even tried having each group member standing on a barrel each, that means that we had 4 different barrels for the boss to explode. Not one exploded. The frustration of this quest chain is immense. Not only do we spend hrs running around the galaxy for 10 seconds or searching for and item, we then get to this instance only to find a buggy piece of crap. Please for the love of Jebus, fix it. I don't think my monitor will take many more headbutts before it iimplodes.
  18. Have just dropped 400/400 artificing as it has become pretty pointless crew skill now. I spent alot of time and credits reverse engineering enhancements/colour crystals etc... to get the epic level ones only to find that players can purchase better enhancements from the vendor on Ilum for daily marks. I also had the +33 crit recipe from the world boss on Belsavis. Sold 4 of those and made a load for guild mates. They sold quite well on GTN, however the ones that I have left over are now no longer selling. The reason...... people are farming Kaon for weapon drops and then taking the +41 crystals from them. I havent sold one crystal now in 2 weeks since the Kaon crystals came to light. So I ask Bioware, why are the "Epic" crafted items lower than items you can buy for daily marks or from farming easy bosses in instances. Surely it should be the other way around that the craftable items are superior to ones that you can buy/farm. Obviously raid items are a different matter, but hardmode instances and vendor items should be lower than craftable ones.

    Ilum as a healer

    I was in Ilum lastnight when a Republic raid group started to terrorise the area. So us Imps got a raid group together and started to have some great battles. However there was one thing that was troubling me. As a healer I seemed to be not getting any credit for kills when the raid group killed a rep player. So I decided to try and drop an AoE spell to see if that made any difference. Straight away I was getting kill credits. Does this now mean that as a Healer I actually have to damage an enemy player to get any credit at all for a kill ? Seems a rather strange/frustrating way for us healers to gain kill credit.
  22. +1 Spent 3 hours wiping on him on hard mode the other day. The randomness of the bugs is infuriating.
  23. Not everything lands. As a sorc healer I use "Electrocute" to stun players. Quite often I see people with full resolve bars resist Electrocute. This game needs diminishing returns. It silly that virtually every class has stuns/knockbacks/roots yet the resolve system is badly flawed.

  25. I havent completed the daily since the patch came out. Not enough Republics go to Ilum on our server. Since patch I have spent hours in Ilum and have a grand total of 10 kills. Took a friend 11hrs of constantly been in Ilum to get his 30 kills. Also, 30 kills is all fine and well on a PVP server, but on a PVE server its just plain silly.
