Thanks for the responses. I'll check out the NS vendor, perhaps he has tier 3 gifts, not sure. The biggest thing I am worried about a little is how to level up all of the various companions affection though. As obviously you can only have one adventuring with you.

Hello guys, couple of questions I wondered if anyone could help me with. First question. Explanation first - I just got my sith sorc healer companion, and since i had a few creds spare I boosted him, with vendor bought companion gifts to 4k affection. With quest gain as well, at level 32 he sits at 5.5k affection. Now, however, while doing quests and replying in a way which usually get his rocks off I'm not seeing a further gain in affection. Therefore - Is quest response affection gain only rewarded per tier... Hmm how to ask this right. Do level 20 - 30 quests only award response affection if the companion is between 2 and 4k affection? and 30 - 40 only give affection if compaion is between 4 and 6k etc? Second Question Is there anywhere off fleet, on one of the new planets say, to buy level 3 and 4 and 5 affection gifts from a vendor? I've heard rumours but not been able to find anything so far. You get to scribe them, then do them, then they go, and you can buy them again if you want to do them again. The rate of materials they give comapred to the standard missions is way high, so if they stayed everything would soon be out of kilter.

It's so funny when people ask for reuaseables to be unrestricted so they can be 'rich as hell' not realising people only buy those once. And with the sheer volume of docs now, they'd be cheap as chips. Then bio would be a non earning tradeskill.

I agree, it is most annoying. I'm now on my 4th alts - I need to log out every 30ish minutes to resend slicing, also i have underworld metals on the 2nd, archaeology on the 3rd and bio on the 4th. It's a massive pain in the arse as it is.

Ok, not going to make this too wordy. There is gear ranging from white to deep purple tier coded. White is crap, deep purple is best. In there somewhere also is orange gear. Orange gear can be slotted with your choice of gems as you level, and when done so far surpasses your other options. This works from 1 - 49 and does not encompass raid gear. What then was the point of having any alternative equipment at all from 1-49? Am I missing something? With two mid range toons, one armortech, one cybertech I can see no godly reason why I would do anything other than upgrade my augments etc each tier.

You expect, as a casual, to be able to have access to all the best crafting recipes after a week or so of release? Jog on. It's already stupidly easy game - expect to sink some time into it. Absolutely no sympathy for you, in fact, I am in the same boat. I just don;t want it all handed to me on a silver platter.
