  1. We used an acronym in the military called : K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) ;)

     

    First eliminate rapid fire lasers from the game, they are trash can and nobody uses them. Make ions the default first weapon on the Tier one strike fighters. (And whatever the scouts have next in line hehe.)

     

    Starguard/Rycer : With what was said above make Ions range 8k, so they mesh with quads and heavies.

    Give all strikes a component that makes Ion weapons in-effective (even other strike fighters ions)

    Give ALL strike fighter's DF as an option.

     

    Pike/Quell : Make all (non-cluster) missile reticules 50% larger so as to make it easier to keep targets in lock.

    And what is stated above for tier one strikes. Maybe a little less lock on time on protons.

     

    Tier three strike's are pretty good so maybe just the extra options listed above also.

     

    I tried to keep this simple and I hope you all will like my suggestions.

     

    The ion's will help eliminate all other ship types pretty equally well.

     

    Giving strikes the DF option should help the QQing about DF etc. Then everyone has two missile breaks, everybody happy happy happy!

     

    The only thing I did not address was mobility, but with ion weapons being in-effective loosing all your engine pool should be a thing of the past. Hell with the ions in-effective and an extra missile break plus larger missile reticules should, even the playing field a bit.

     

    There Stike's are fixed lol! :cool:

  2. I might actually be tagging along for a while, but I think rather not as part of a team - as nothing I can offer is even close to being mastered and I don't really consider myself an ace anyways...

    But for the learning experience I am at least partially willing to throw myself into the fray and getting repeatedly slaughtered by random people:rolleyes:

     

    Don't worry about what you can or can not do for your team.

     

    My first SSN I was flying with Arrmond, Scrab, and Xiaoyu as my teammates. I had maybe tier 1-2 upgrades on my ships and really only contributed multiple deaths in a TDM we were in. LOL But we only lost 49-50 so it doesn't matter what ya bring to the game just fly your best and learn.

     

    We will do our best to look out for ya and we always welcome new pilots! Good luck! ;)

  3. I have found that when switching from rail to cluster it does not always take. Don't know why but it sticks on rail way more than cluster to rail. Which leads me to be killed also when trying to switch. I have also noticed that the circles designating which component you are on are very similar and confusing. Sometimes it will show no circles at all and sometimes it will show two different circles which are very close to the same size.

     

    I also find in the fog of battle its totally my fault by not remembering which I was on or just hitting the button too many times too. But I have noticed it sticking when I am not being pressured.

     

    So in conclusion it seems to be operator error and the laggg monster rearing its ugly head. ;)

  4. Wasn't there another 8v8, all double premades, earlier in the night? Domination on Lost Shipyards, I think. Republic won that one. :)

     

    It is a shame a lot of the other matches were decided by "whose food is the most food like". Fun though! Very frenetic communication on Pubside.

     

    Drako, how long will the stream of tonight be available to watch?

     

     

     

    This is the only other one I have but I am pretty sure we only had one premade in this one.

  5. I can't believe no one has mentioned the build that gave the Battlescout its "OP" reputation!

     

    Probably because this build is what got the Battlescout Nerfed in the first place, and it is not as effective as it once was hehe!

    BLC, Clusters/Pods, BO, Concentrated Fire, DF, and Retros. :eek:

     

    Just thought I would remind everyone and was feeling a little nostalgic lol! :cool:

  6. Loved playing in this one!

     

    I got to switch sides even, so I got to play "with" everyone last night. I was on Sithace for the first few matches then got to switch to Skywallkr for a couple too! Even though Skywallkr has no mastered ships LOL. Sorry to my teammates on that one.

     

    Have to say I like this solo q format a lot because I was able to switch sides which was different and fun!

     

    Enjoyed playing with all of you who made it out! ;)

  7. I just wanted to pop in and tell you guys excellent post's!

     

    I am always encouraged by new guys with positive attitudes!

     

    I am now flying on many servers and I like to fly with anyone who would like to learn something. Just an fyi though most veterans can get a little huffy when the "new guys" don't listen. I rarely make suggestions in chat anymore cus people don't respond much.

     

    Republic name is the same and Imperial is one or the other hehe. Just check my sig for the info!

  8. Normally those of us with Republican and Imperial characters will just queue on the side with less Super Serious participants. While we can definitely switch around in a solo queue, it will probably need to be coordinated a bit so that we don't overload one side.

     

    Good point Vern!

     

    If moving sides is an issue we will have to make sure it doesn't screw up balance. Maybe we could designate hours for switching? I don't know I really didn't really think this plan through hehe.
