  1. Maybe that's why Imps outnumber Reps 3:1 And yes OP, I've gone from being amused with the ribs being every injury despite what description the injured give their injuries (non-ribs) in convo, to being flat-out annoyed by it.
  2. I will divert all of my resources toward funding research in this field.
  3. Sharing is caring, and caring is ... well you know, the Sith Way?
  4. Is this a new and interesting topic, or just the one that's most popular to whine about this week? I forget.
  5. Why be picky about it? I don't see why we can't choose to change ACs altogether, and I'd be willing to be a hefty fee for a full-on AC redo if need be. In all, there are 8 story lines in the game, right? Why do I need to re-complete my story line to change roles? Put a week-long CD on it, charge me some credits, sign me up because after 33 levels of this AC I've decided that it's not for me. Don't make me take up a character slot on my server (how many are there versus story lines again?) to replay the same thing all over again. I like the aesthetics of my class, but not enough to have two of them and play through the same story twice when I could just get him to 50 and spend my "alt time" on an entirely new story that BW took the time to compose for me. I can understand the arguments on both sides of not allowing us to dual spec, but not being able to change your AC (with some hefty costs, fine) is just stupid.
  6. ... EDIT: Nvm, question answered a couple posts above.
  7. Kinda hate to admit it, but that's why I chose Commando as well. Half the reason I went Trooper was the AC, the other half was the armor. BH healing Merc was the first class I rolled, but I absolutely hated the healing mechanics and re-rolled an Op healer instead. Because my Imp main is an Op, I wanted a change from Blaster Rifles - no Trooper tank for me ... very disappointing since I assumed the hulking brute tank type would naturally be the one using the BFG. I see both sides of this argument, but I think the poster who said we should have a choice of either gun made the most sense. I love so much about this game, but being a Spec Ops guy whose choice of role is dependent upon his weapon doesn't make much sense to me. Spec Ops are often the insanely talented with unconventional methods type of people.
  8. I started as Imp on "The Trick", and am now playing Republic. I do occasionally login to my Imps to start crew missions before popping back over to my trooper. Last night Imp fleet was 200+ population and Republic was 100ish. I won't say anything as bold as "the population is 2-1" generally speaking, but those types of numbers seem to be the norm. At peak hours, the Imp fleet always seems to be in the 200s, and I've yet to be in a Rep Fleet with over 135ish (been Republic for about a week now). All of that being said, I've had no more difficulty finding groups for FPs or getting into quick PvP queues than I did Imp, and one really nice side effect has been my rarely having to play Huttball for PvP (no offense to those who like Huttball ... I despise it).
  9. If you turn your AC around to heal yourself, you can't reach the pedals ... er trigger.
  10. New SWTOR is 80% more effective than sugar pill!
  11. Friend of mine spent 14 commendations on DK trying to see what something looked like on his character before buying it due to the whole right-click thing. Fortunately it was for his class. At the very least, commendation vendors need the confirmation. +1
  12. fixed P.S. No one is recognizing your "accomplishments" because we're too busy having fun playing the game to care.
  13. 11/12 pre-order: Just got my invite. Now for the waiting game til I get to play tonight
  14. Fat smugglers are hilarious with all the tumbling. As for me, I'm still kicking back and forth between Chiss or Human. Played a Chiss IA in beta, was fun, but so much about the BH appeals to me.
  15. I fail to see how one post asking hundreds of others to relax "contributes to the problem". If it has any positive effect on the situation at all, it's quite the opposite. If it has no effect, well I'd apologize if I were sorry for trying. Also, I think you need to get a bit more of a clear picture of what "crying" is. A polite request to the community hardly fits the definition.
  16. Playing LoL atm. Will play BF3 later if able to login.
  17. First, I need to preface this by saying that I'm not some bleeding heart liberal who's here to tell you how to act. I'm just some guy who's been reading the forums today while I anxiously await my chance to play. I haven't posted a single complaint regarding the stagger since I didn't pre-order until November, and from the looks of it I may be getting to play a day or two sooner than I'd previously expected, so I'm pretty happy about this whole thing. All of that being said, I'm not sure which I find to be more ridiculous: The tear-soaked posts on behalf of people regarding this whole process to be completely "unfair", or the proceeding posts by people taunting and being outright nasty to anyone who has the "nerve" to dare complain about any of this process. To those of you laughing and lobbing insults at the "kids" who can't handle "not playing a video game for a couple of days", just take a quick look in the mirror. You're acting pretty damned childish yourselves, and in the process of doing so are using up resources that those of us who want to use the forums for their intended purposes need. Please be more considerate. What you're doing is just as counter-productive as the whiners. Thank you for your consideration. And here's hoping we're all in the game soon.
