Im having trouble entering warzones on the EU server right now...im guessing its the same problem if you didnt restart our server?

Well, i had this very same problem since i came back about a week ago. And since all i do is pvp, it was quite annoying not hearing the sound when a wz pops. So i searched and found this post, but with no solution. Then i remembered (Ya inorite!? Im old!) what i did to solve it in the past (set the game to fullscreen windowed) and thought i might actually help someone in the same situation. Hey Just saw this thread and thought i'd pop in with a tip that works for me: -Try setting the game to Fullscreen (Windowed) instead of regular Fullscreen. //Twin Edit: And sorry for the necro, just thougt it could be useful info =)

Hi. Quite some time ago i just gave up on this game and took a long break due to BW seemingly not giving a crap about pvp. This was about 1,5 years ago or so i think. Well, with BW's recent summer roadmap focusing on pvp and more specifically being able to have a bit of control over which maps i wanna play and a new huttball map in the works - i wanted to support that, so i resubbed and wanna give it another go. The problem is gearing. All my toons are geared in pvp gear from before this new current system and i have zero clues what to do! Is it possible for someone to give a somewhat short explanation to me, showing me what im supposed to do with these "unassembled tokens" i get from warzones - and where i get the top tier "pvp" gear? On fleet i see vendors everywhere selling all sorts of stuff but charging items i have no idea where to get... Please tell me that i wont be forced to do lots of highend pve to be able to get toptier gear for pvp? I just wanna pvp =( Thanks //Twin

But crafted 240s dont come with the bonus now, do they.... Also: 1. Pvping should be the fastest way to get gear for PvP, both tier 1, 2 and 3. 2. Buying 240s is quite expensive, saving up that cash from mats would still force you to pvp at disadvantage for quite some time before you have a set of no-bonus 240's and still will be at disadvantage.

I just resubbed about a week ago from a 6 month break. I quit because of the lack of attention and insight from the devs regarding pvp. Im not very impressed about what they've done to pvp....if it was bad before....it's....i dont even.... now. So yeah, i just cancelled my sub again. I'll probably pop back in another 6 months or so and check things out.....but this time im gonna read up properly -before- i give them any money. I feel a little like i robbed myself right now.

Well hi. After a 6 month or so absence i resubbed for a month to check the game out, but im a bit confused to this new merged pve/pvp gear situation. I would really appreciate if someone would take the time to answer my questions below =) 1. Is there no incentive at all to do warzones anymore? Beside a chance to get some rare crafting mats? 2. What's crafted with those rare crafting mats? Gear? 3. How do i go about to get BiS items for my toons? 4. Looks like 240 is cap atm(?) but at a cost of around 30mil per toon, how are ppl supposed to gear up multiple alts for pvp? 5. Is there no way to gain gear from just pvping? Do i have to plunge into pve grinding to gear up all my toons for pvp? PvP balance Yeah, we have seen changes with most big expansions, and when it comes to pvp it has a tendency to be a change for the worse. Your words echo pretty hollow considering how little you evidently care for pvp generally. Player choice What this game needs isn't "player choices" in predetermined quest dialogues - it needs player freedom. And if you cared about that you would for example have lifted the crossfaction restriction for whispers long ago, you would allow a free placement decoration system, you would incentive roaming world pvp...and many, -many- other things. The lack of interested from BW on these 2 bullets are the main reason why i cancelled my sub yesterday. //Twin

After being here since the BETA weekends, I finally got fed up enough of this complete lack of insight and interest from the dev team when it comes to PvP. Sent them a text with reasons when i cancelled....that they likely will never read or if they do, couldn't care less about. Yeah im out too, no chance ill ever queue for ranked again when they treat it like they do. BW should be ashamed of themselves regarding how they have handled Ranked and PvP in general during the years. The only thing that possibly could make me queue again would be if they gave previews of the rewards before the season starts, and that the rewards aren't completly laughable like they seem to be now. Will you ever actually answer the untouched questions from the livestream??? You told us you would cover -everything- in the stream, yet you never answered the question many of us had: Why are we as subscribers not given 2 free character slots so we aren't forced to buy slots (If we're full on toons) for additional money on your CM to participate in your event? You clearly stated you would answer all questions regarding the event leaving nothing out, and then you ignored the question the enitre stream. Then you type this in your wrapup: -Only to never post in the thread again? Do answer the question. Do you think it's reasonable to throw up an event that forces your most dedicated subscribers/players to make additional purchases to be able to even participate? And no, deleting old toons or starting on a new server are absolutly not viable options.

You need to answer this question, which you happily avoided to answer in the livestream (Where you were going to answer all questions, right?)

Please give a proper explanation as to why you don't grant us at least 1 free server slot. Specially those of us who have filled our "free" slots. Do you think we should be Ok with: 1. Being forced to buy a char slot for RL cash to participate in an event that is free for everyone who didn't spend as much time in game? 2. Being forced to buy a char slot on the GTN for a ridiculus price, when it's free for everyone who didnt spend as much time in game? 3. Switch servers and thereby missing out on 2 of 3 reward categories since they're bound to legacy/pickup? Elaborate how you think it's fair to put the players that likely have been loyal to the game the longest in that position. Please do respond properly to this issue that you completly avoided on the stream. Show me you care about your longterm subscribers at least on some level... //Twin

So you're only increasing server slot capacity, and not granting us a few actual free server slots? And then you didnt even explain why we don't get that? So our options as longterm subscribers are: 1. Pay you even more money to get a server slot via the CM or 2. Pay ridiculus overprices on the GTN Thats your solution? Or did i misunderstand your stream?

Are you seriously going to force your longterm subscribers to BUY their way into this event? You need to grant everyone at least 1 free slot.

I agree with this too, only that i wish my personal issue would be communicated before the event starts...but as you say, communicating with us is very much a step in the right direction.

Well im at least slightly comforted that you acknowledge that people have cencerns, even though i think you should have responded with this post the same day as the announcement was posted. But tbh, it's one thing to talk about frustrating objectives and give explanations, and a completly different thing when it comes to ppl not being able to actually participate at all due to lack of server slots. Like i've said in the past: Deleting toons, buying slots or switching servers are NOT valid solutions, not even workarounds. I play with ALL my toons, dont want to delete any of them. I can't buy slots for RL cash atm, and i shouldn't have to. And prices for slots on the GTN are stupidly high since your announcement, and again, i shouldn't have to. I can't switch servers because then many of the rewards will be stuck on a server im not playing on normally. And transfering at a later point is also out of the question since you raised the transfer costs to 1k CC So you can talk and explain all you want - but more or less excluding dedicated players from an event meant for "everyone" is not something i can see you defend in any way or shape tbh. The event starts today and I'll have to wait til Thursday to even hear an explanation as to why you are not allowing me to participate? Give me a server slot today and explain it on thursday tbh.
