  1. I don't care one way or the other myself really, but I just wanted to chime in and say how hilarious it is when you zone into a WZ and see a lvl 10 "sith warrior" that hasn't even picked his advanced class, and is using a training saber LOL.To be honest,i'd rather still be running alongside that training saber warrior than where i'm at now, getting roflstomped by full battlemaster pre mades in the lvl 50 Q =(
  2. Yes,there is a bit of difference in armor value. My girlfriends main is an OP,which of course normally wears medium armor, but she found a ligt armor moddable headpiece that she likes. The ligt armor headpiece has a slight bit less armor than a medium armor headpiece with the same mods in it.
  3. To that,No sin is going to be dps in dark charge, which is of course required to shield someone.dps'ing in dark charge not only is going to lower your damage bonus by 5% right off the bat,but you're going to be a liability because you're going to produce massive amounts of threat with dark charge on.Pull a bosses attention at the wrong time because of that and you just wiped you're raid.As you know Dark charge, and deep darkness tree,is a tank charge/tree,not dps. Most bosses are immune to electrocute and spike. So any mobs that the 9% extra dmg would matter on,are immune to the effect anyways. I'll give you wither and discharge with dark charge, but again.....MASSIVE THREAT caused by these abilities isn't worth the risk.In this instance, the OP is talking about being a dps sin in a raid.If you are deep enough in darkness to have wither.....you're not a dps...you're a tank. I won't argue how our dps stacks up against other classes right now, because we don't actually know without combat logs and parses.I will however say that we are definitely lacking group utility in our dps specs. There's basically nothing we bring as far as in combat group utility.Sure,we can sap a mob from stealth, but that's obviously worthless (in most cases) on a boss fight.Other than that,we've basically got nothing but damage to give, and how much of that we give is even suspect.
  4. New content is great and all,but why can I still not open many boss loot chests in flashpoints?
  5. I was there for rift launch, and most of the end of beta.It went just as well as swtor's beta and launch did in my opinion.Actually comparing the parts of the two beta's I participated in,I would say I had a smoother time in rift. Anyways,I'm enjoying swtor.I like it and i truly hope that it succeeds. But you and I both know swtor is very much lacking in some very basic qualities that an MMO of this generation should have, and it has a lot of flaws that really shouldn't be present.I believe ToR needed another 6 months minimum, maybe even a year to develop honestly, but such as EA is,it had to come out the door now.I don't blame bioware,They have the power to fix these short comings,I can only hope they do so quickly. So come on down off your fan boy high horse.
  6. It's not just you. While he's standing around,my marauder looks like he's smuggling jawa's in his rear as well. It's silly looking and annoying but not that big a deal to me really. There are definitely bigger issues that need to be corrected with the game (*cough*50's in wz's*cough*).it's funny tho because it looks perfectly normal when he's fighting, running,or has his light sabers out,but when he puts his lightsabers away and is standing normally,he develops a hot air balloon on his behind.
  7. I agree with pretty much all of the points you made.I don't really feel like ToR is innovating on much,if anything.I don't really feel like it's "old" per say,but to me it feels like a really generic MMO with stars wars washed over top of it(aside from the voiced npc's,yay for that). At this point,it's fun,but not mind blowing or anything. It's lacking a lot of the basic things that really should be a given in a "next gen" current era MMO.decent UI/hud,deeper character customization, target of target, just to name a few.I won't compare ToR to WoW,because wow has had nearly a decade to grow into what it is,ToR has not. That being said,my gf and I are having a ton of fun with ToR and will continue to do so for, what I hope,is a long time.I have hope that ToR isn't just a cash grab, and faith that bioware will fix the bugs, improve on the deficits, and grow ToR into greatness.
  8. Hello All, Just a quick question. Can BH's use assault cannons in any capacity? if not,is there and imperial side class that does?
  9. Thanks much,I'll keep my eyes peeled.
  10. yea, didn't think it was broken really.I pretty much knew it was working.I just wish there was a more visual or obvious representation of when it procced.I feel like i spend way too much time looking at my force bar as it is.Luckily I have a razr naga so I don't have to look at or click my buttons. Those buff icons are just tiny because I run in a fairly high resolution.Would be helpful if maybe my saber staff had some visual effect when exploit procced.Albeit,it's not that big of a deal because I instinctively cram maul whenever I can anyways.......but still.
  11. Hello All, Just a quick question about exploit weakness from the deception tree.I have this talented, and it appears to work,But I never see any indication as to when it's procced.Normally,(depending on the situation of course) what I do when dps'ing is open with a maul, discharge, then alternate between thrash/saber strike depending on force lvl.I maul about every second or third thrash/saber strike depending, and usually these mauls cost reduced force due to the direct attacks I've been spamming, ergo, exploit weakness. My mauls of course drain a large chunk of force (50 i think it is?),but exploit must be working because a lot of time my mauls cost much less force and I can chain a few of them together. The thing is,I have yet to notice any kind of visual indication or icon that tells me when exploit has procced.does something pop up down on the buff icon bar? is there a visual indicator?
