I agree with pretty much all of the points you made.I don't really feel like ToR is innovating on much,if anything.I don't really feel like it's "old" per say,but to me it feels like a really generic MMO with stars wars washed over top of it(aside from the voiced npc's,yay for that).At this point,it's fun,but not mind blowing or anything.
It's lacking a lot of the basic things that really should be a given in a "next gen" current era MMO.decent UI/hud,deeper character customization,target of target,just to name a few.I won't compare ToR to WoW,because wow has had nearly a decade to grow into what it is,ToR has not.
That being said,my gf and I are having a ton of fun with ToR and will continue to do so for,what I hope,is a long time.I have hope that ToR isn't just a cash grab,and faith that bioware will fix the bugs,improve on the deficits,and grow ToR into greatness.
