WoW without add-ons is nothing special really, but with add-ons it becomes your personally-tailored interface.

If someone annoys me, I'll roll on their class stuff, delete it from my inventory and tell them. If I pity someone I might pass on my own class stuff for them. Don't get confused by "but it's your companion, not your personal toon". It's his SOLO and DUO and 3-man experience that's affected by the equipment on the companion. Now you see that he feels he "needs" it for those experiences. Question is, do you feel that him wanting to play solo/duo/3-man as well as flashpoints is "greedy"?
