  1. Have you noticed that the legacy experience you gain on your level 50 character is toned down? I gain much better legacy experience on my alts (3 characters between 20-30) than on my level 50 main. So system actually encourages you to play alts and not just concentrate on the main character...
  2. And how easy it is to hire people who can do more than turn servers off when problems arise? I believe that BW has all possible people doing the launch at the same time maximizing amount of people let in during the wave. Of course they could split people to two different shifts but amount of people let in would probably be same anyway, just less in each wave. Splitting people to different waves according to location they are, is just extra work. Now everyone is treated same way and will get their invite according to pre-order. And if you think about times of invites, US West Coast people will receive their invites starting from 6 in morning. I prefer myself evenings as they now are...
  3. Probable schedule for launch day: 6-7 hours of waves of emails to players to get in. 5+ extra hours of monitoring servers that everything goes well. After working 12 hours most of the people will start to loose focus and clarity of the mind so send most people home to sleep and repeat next day. So do you want to work 12 hours in the middle of the night or middle of the day? Answer should be obvious to everybody. Bioware is US based company and will work mostly in US daytime meaning that we in Europe will feel rejected and left outside. But Bioware Europe is not the one that has been developing the game and can't be responsible anything other than handling the hardware problems at the launch. From our point of view it seems that BW is treating us as second-rate customers. This might be true but main point is to have successful launch where everything works as intended or at least as close as possible and that is the ONLY thing that should be considered. I am also unhappy too that I can't get into the game right now because being unemployed leaves a lot of time for gaming. But if you stop and think a bit, way BW is doing things seems to be the best way at the moment. Don't be selfish.
  4. No, what I am saying is that there are only certain amount of qualified people that can tackle problems with launch and if they let everybody in (estimates between 2 to 3 million players), those people could't handle all the problems. So instead they are keeping amount of people and servers inside the amount they can guarantee to very good service.
  5. Handling the launch and handling the maintenance are two different things. As I see it, BW tries to have their most experienced and best people available for launch and they can't be up 24/7 or there would be a lot of mistakes. Therefore waves come in USA and Europe at the same time, so that those best people can handle any problems. If BE EU would start to give out waves in our timezone and something problematic would happen, they would need to contact main office in Austin and try to get those specialists up from their sleep. This would then most likely mean closed servers, delays and everybody stressed and unhappy. In my opinion current way to do things seems to be very good and so far has been mostly problem free. I expect myself to get in maybe friday (entered code 13.11.) and I'd rather play on the servers that work and don't have thousands of people killing same moose/mice/rats etc. Happy waiting to everyone still out there...
