  1. Your 560ti 448 is pretty much the same as a 570. Which will handle that resolution without a problem.
  2. Why aren't you? Some people want to participate in different game styles, why should they be held back from experiencing them?
  3. Do you even play this game? You don't get to choose talents until you hit level 10.
  4. Because farming dailies every day just to be able to change specs for different types of gameplay is bad design?
  5. So you mean someone that wants to pvp and pvp every night of the week would be screwed? Great design, buddy!
  6. It's also absolutely idiotic. If you are into competitive gaming, you want the optimal spec for different activities. Pretty sure if you're doing hard/nightmare mode PVE content, you want your raid group using PVE builds. If you are into PVP, I'd imagine you'd want incoming damage reduction and mobility talents. Maybe you only want to participate in one or the other, but many players want to be able to do BOTH.
  7. So they still had another 10 days to get to the level cap? If you're going to troll at least have a little bit of knowledge to make it credible
  8. Pretty much agree with everything the OP has said.
  9. Well once you hit 50, there's only pvp, dailes and flashpoints (or ops) to do. Right now, there's just not enough people doing flashpoints to be able to do them very often. Spamming for others @ fleet for 30mins kind of makes me not want to play this game at all. Dailies get boring. And PVP is in such horrible shape, it's hard to call it a feature. So yeah, like most of my friends, I've already canceled.
  10. lol And may I ask, what data are you getting from Fraps? There's no combat log in the game. Are you playing the encounter back form 4 different captures, manually typing the numbers on the screen into a spreadsheet and then doing analysis?
  11. So you $150 keyboard can do mouseover macros? Oh, right. Thought not. Glad you understand the issue too.
  12. Don't think anyone sane would want that type of macro capability in any MMO. BW can neuter the macro language to prevent that sort of thing. Early on, WoW had addons that went against their idea of a mod not playing the game for you. So they just changed the API and broke those mods. Couple examples: mana conservation: canceled your current heal just before it completed the cast if your target was above a certain % of their health. original decursive: just had to hotkey/hotbar a single macro that would clear debuffs off nearby group/raid members. Just had to spam it without doing anything else. They remade decursive in a way that didn't ago against the rules.
  13. How does a DPS meter prevent wipes? And nice to know you're against thigns that you don't understand. Healbot doesn't make the game heal for you
  14. Maybe you want to PVP and a pure sustained DPS PVE spec isn't very good for PVP. Pretty sure most people who are PVP will want a mix of survival and burst damage talents. Where in endgame PVE, you'd want something that works better on bosses that take 5mins to kill. The only thing stopping people from switching roles is the time it takes to redo bars/hotkeys and the talent respec fee.
  15. Only hit spacebar to speed up conversations with droids or aliens. And those felt like scenes out of a dubbed/subbed Bruce Lee flick Hit last week. And yeah, had a bunch of vacation time that I had to burn at the end of the year. My last morning of the year was over 1min before I got my early start email (no joke!).
  16. What mods do the work for you in WoW? The most used encounter addons (DBM, DXE etc) were timers or sc****** the chat log for incoming encounter information. They didn't make you move or use your own abilities. They didn't play the game for you. And yeah, people were using mods for raiding in early WoW. Remember CT_RaidAssist? The addon that gave healers real raid unit frames? There were a metric ton of great, non game changing, UI mods for WoW. Things that increase the QoL (quality of life). A few examples: Bartender: completely customizable bars (size, shape, location, hiding, stance dependent) Grid: resizable, movable and display options for party/raid unit frames Clique: mouseover macros (use with Grid) ShadowedUF: unit frame mod for party/raid/target/ToT/ToTT
  17. And players that used such macros would suck too. Most classes win WoW had priority style ability use, nothing as linear as your macro example would work with. Top players were the ones that knew when to use what abilities and cooldowns at precisely the right time. Not when something came off cooldown I'd still be fine with BW not allowing ability chaining macros. But for the love of god, add in things like mouseover macros.
  18. Funny thing is that with the current unit frames, it's more of a whack a mole than what you'd have with mouseover macros
  19. That still doesn't give any extra functionality. Explain how I do a mouseover macro with a keystroke recorder? Oh right, you can't because there's no API for doing that in the game.
  20. For someone who says they are so well versed with mods/programing, you seem to be willfully ignorant on what GOOD mods and macros were able to do. And what they were NOT able to do. Blizzard killed parts of the API that could be used to make fully automated macros quite early on in the game. Remember the first versions of Decursive (could spam one macro and it would remove debuffs on any person in the raid), healbot and mana conservation mods for healers? It didn't take very long for them to disable those mods. They went against the spirit of the game. As for boss mods, you do realize the number of guilds that killed the hardmode end bosses with or without DBM/DXE/etc was minimal. The mods didn't play the game for you, all they did was let you know when something was about to happen. The current UI in swtor is absolutely horrible for a healer. No realtime updating & tiny debuffs for unit frames. No real timers on cooldowns (mousing over a hotbar does not count!). No target of target. No mouseover macros so you don't have to target someone to heal them or clear a debuff. I won't even go into not being able to move or hide hotbars. They really need something like grid & clique, bartender, unit frame mods (I used shadowedUF), better cooldown tracking and a decent macro system. And none of those would be considered playing the game with a single button
  21. You mean after they made it not so horrible for tanks or healers to kill quest mobs at a half decent pace? If you played in vanilla, leveling a priest, paladin, druid or shaman SUCKED. Dual spec is all about convenience. Enjoy spamming @ fleet /1 LF2M healer/tank for XXXXXX. I sure as hell won't be willing to shell out 50k in respec fees to go heal your PUG.
  22. Bunch of friends and myself have already canceled. Why? This is not a modern MMO. Tons of clunkiness in combat. Quests are generic. Knockbacks, stuns and interrupts are stupidly overpowered in PVP. UI is bad (no mods or macros!) The story as a SI has been well done so far, but once I hit 50 (tomorrow?), I can't see me wanting to grind PVP or flashpoints for gear. So I'll probably roll a Jedi and see how far I can get before my sub runs out.
  23. WoW had MC and Onyxia at release. And yes, I'm positive about that. Either way, yes. Software will have bugs. But we shouldn't let the devs off the hook so easily. It's their job to have things working well. And if they don't, people have the right to complain. The apologists want everyone to think that the devs are doing us a favor by writing/fixing code. We bought this game and we're paying subscriptions, they owe US.
  24. Pretty sure 0% useful item for one person in a bag is worth a lot less than one person out of 8/24 that finds a specific pve drop to be useless.
  25. Until you want to PVP then switch to your raid healing spec and then back to PVP in the same day. Multiple days a week. Then it's no longer chump change.
