  1. The patch doesn't have to be in your favor but to break the current specs without addressing the underlying issues with the DPS trees themselves is pathetic. If any class is currently OP its the staff saber classes. I routinely get cut down in 5-10 seconds by them. 3-4k hits back to back with no cast times.
  2. If wrath nerf goes live I will cancel my sub. Breaking the hybrid spec is a bad idea. #1- lightning spec is terrible because of cast time #2- wrath is a madness talent and lightning strike is not used by anyone specced madness #3- lightning strike, even off a wrath proc, does less damage than force lightning #4- madness spec is a DOT-based build. not my playstyle. I won't give them a second chance. It goes live, I walk away from SWTOR forever. I've had enough of their BS for the past few months.
  3. I agree. Speeders don't speed.. they feel like they are going segway speeds. Force run gives you 150% run speed.. and it feels pretty fast. Personally, I think lvl 1 speeder should be 100%, lvl 2 @ 120%, lvl 3 @ 140-160% That leaves room for expansion. I also think non-buffed run speed should be increased by 10% Everything is too slow in the game and the lag / framerate drops aren't helping.
  4. all the end game pvp sets for all the classes look terrible. just wait for the patch allowing you to remove the mods and you're set
  5. sounds like a good idea for the game. probably impossible to implement though.
  6. agree with everything on the list. mine(some are repeats of yours): -Fix the items on PVP vendors. Some items are duplicates of others with a different name. Some items are not showing up... as in, you can't buy the whole set. Or one pair of gloves might have crit / alacrity but the headpiece has crit / surge. -Add PVP Mods Vendor to sell mods, enhancements, armor for slotted gear. Obviously you would lose set bonuses by using those but it is a fair tradeoff. -2s/3s/4s for PVP with Queue, Ranked(team) and unranked(solo q) matches -1v1 PVP Queue, Ranked and unranked matches -Combat statistics -Addons implemented(user created) -UI Customization - change color of ui, ui style, size (individually resized elements not a scale slider!), nameplate color/size -A way to change the color of armor. can be implemented by vendor or machine and would have a GUI for color selection -Remove 2 screens open limit -Allow everything in the UI to "unlocked" and dragable. I hate the default locked positions. -Remove color crystal restrictions.. Let's face it, if you can be an evil jedi or a gentle sith in the game then restrictions on color crystals are pointless. Moreover, the current mechanic affects non-force players. There is no point in this considering LS and DS can both use the artifact colors available and this is purely cosmetic... no one will be negatively impact if my DS character has blue saber/blaster or my LS has red.. Which brings me to my next item.. -Add a customizable lvl 50 'color crystal'. Using the crystal would pop up a GUI to select a custom (RGB)color. Variety is the spice of life.. this game is lacking that in all departments.
  7. Is there any way to customize the UI? There aren't enough settings under "Preferences" For instance, I find it somewhat difficult to keep an eye on my cursor in huttball matches. The color is pretty close to the metal structures and the cursor is small on my screen. I run on 2560 * 1440. Is it possible to alter anything about the GUI on my end? Cursor (color/size), change overall UI color, alter nameplate size/color, etc? I'm still hopeful that there are some console commands or something that I'm missing here. Are add-ons (like the wow player created stuff) supported in SWTOR? ? What is BioWare's take on user created Add-ons and what do you intend to do in this aspect of the game? Honestly, I think that this is an extremely important and overlooked feature. A good number of improvements (game UI, mission tracking, dmg/heal statistics, GTN UI, mailbox UI, waypoint arrow, map, combat effectiveness, etc) could be resolved by the userbase if we have the ability to create add-ons that are comparable to ones for WoW. If this isn't a huge undertaking to add to the game, it should move up on the priority list. Once the players can create solutions for themselves and others, Bioware can ignore the GUI and focus on more important things. Chances are, the user-made addon will have more options, look better, and get updated quicker than an in-house solution. Win-Win. Has Bioware considered adding a vendor or useable device on Fleet that will allow you to change the color of armor? Would this be difficult/time consuming to add? This would be a nice feature to have. It would also help with the "everyone looks the same" issue in end game. Can also be used as a money sink for the game. Regarding color crystals.. can we drop the blue=good // red=bad restrictions? It really just doesn't make any sense. On one hand, you can be a LS Sith or DS Jedi within the rules of the game. On the other hand, you can't be LS to use a red crystal. This might make sense if the Jedi and Sith were growing their own crystals through some force ritual... but they don't. This mechanic also affects non force sensitive players since the same crystals are used in lightsabers and blasters. It does not, however, affect the color of a starship's blaster fire. So 'good guys' on alderaan shoot green and 'good guys' in space fire red.... Which makes me ask, Has BW considered adding a new endgame reward? A customizable color crystal Add a level 50 crystal.. a CLEAR crystal. Upon using this crystal an RGB color selector pops up and you can determine the crystal's color. I don't care if you sell it at the security vendor, make it a world drop, or give them away at lvl 50 as a congrats. I just want to see something for customizing your character in this area. #1, It would increase variety among players which is always good #2, Future added color crystal rare drops would actually be worth trying to get because they would have to be something new/exciting #3, The color of someone's lightsaber or blaster fire does not affect anyone. This will not hurt anyone's gameplay. #4, Adds another degree of separation between 49 and 50 #5, Custom color means the player gets what they want. #6, Useful for organized PVP and PVE.. for instance, 1 guild decides all members use r100 g80 b190 for their weapons.. in a large battle it is easier to identify who's who. or a guild uses certain colors for tank/dps/heal in end game PVE I'd appreciate some input on some of this
  8. I agree with everything you said. Expect more flamers and trolls telling you to L2P, get better gear, and QQ moar though. There IS a problem with this class's damage output when you consider lack of armor, lack of heals, lack of tanking skills. We should be out dpsing every other class out there since we take the most damage and don't have any heal skills.
  9. #1 - If you aren't willing to try another class you will never see the issue for what it is. That is a problem. No one is telling you to play another class forever, but damn TRY another class and see for yourself. No wonder you have no idea what the "QQers" are complaining about. You have ONLY played this 1 class. #2 - Yeah, I can make it through content if I am overleveled. And even then it is still difficult. If I try to do quests that are my level, it is insanely difficult to the point where I might as well not bother since I don't have the doctor yet. #3 - I'm not asking them to change the class mechanics or the skills available. I'm asking them to review the class's damage output given the fact that we don't have heavy armor or any heal skill (no, I'm not talking about an indirect heal via talent spec). I never said they need to make the class anything different in terms of how you play sentinel. If you would get off the forums and go try another class you might actually understand that a healer-dps role with heavy armor is doing the same, if not more damage than we are. And they have heavy armor. And they have heal skills (even if they don't spec heals). Take the blinders off and you'll see for yourself.
  10. You tell me what the trick is and I will personally go try it right now. I will waste all my credits (again) on gear upgrades. I will respec (again) to whatever spec you have. I will follow your words to the letter. I don't expect to see any difference, but I am willing to give it a shot. MAYBE there's something I'm missing... but I seriously doubt it after spending hours looking at all of our skills, trying different things, and reading all the guides on the forum. Throw me a bone. If you happen to be right I will gladly come back here and apologize to you and everyone else.
  11. Finally someone who has tried other classes, sees the issue with sentinel, and isn't afraid to speak up. I applaud you.
  12. A LOT of people are having the same issues they just aren't going to come on here and post. Why? Because 90% of the replies are trolls and flamers saying L2P.
  13. I'm not looking for pity from you or anyone else. I'm asking bioware to look at the class. I've read the dev post and it doesn't address the issue that we need to be overleveled to quest. I appreciate your thread bump however.
  14. Then **** of the thread and stop reading it? I would be grateful if you tools would stop trolling the threads of every player with a legitimate issue regarding this class. Is the class unplayable? NO. Is there a problem in comparison to every other class? YES.
  15. Yes, it is glaringly obvious. Just not to you and every other geared lv50. Not based on warzone stats either. I don't hold those in very high regard, it was just an example for comparison. And stop trolling our threads. Don't you have anything better to do?
  16. My best guess is you weren't attempting to do quests at your level and you were always a few levels ahead of the quests you were working on. As far as the spaceship battles, just make sure your ship has some upgrades (especially increased fire rate and armor). I just use the mouse on them and haven't had any problems (aside from hitting a rock here and there). You know what you need to do? Go roll a trooper, bounty hunter, imperial agent -- or anything for that matter that is not a Jedi Knight. Play that class for a little and you will see the issue I'm talking about with sentinel. The class is underpowered IN COMPARISON to other classes. Yeah, we can GET BY as sentinels. At the same time, other classes have higher damage and survivability. That's the problem. I was on alderaan at level 30 and getting my *** handed to me. I watched a level 26 trooper come in and DEMOLISH a group of enemies without losing a significant amount of health. He didn't even need to heal himself. Every group I had tried that on, I'd escape with maybe 25% health. That was with watchman 'heals'. Seriously, it is insulting that you and others seem to think that everyone on the forum that has an issue with sentinel class (for whatever reason) is just a failure at playing this game. What is more likely is there are balance issues with sentinel class damage and survivability and most people get around that by having the best possible gear at all levels OR being a few levels above their target quests. Neither is an issue or requirement for any other class in the game.
  17. I feel your pain and that is why I already gave up on sentinel. Get ready to get flamed and be told you just don't know what you are doing or you aren't geared properly. It is glaringly obvious that as a pure dps class, we don't put out the amount of damage we should be. I'm not sure why so many people come on here to flame players like you and I who are having trouble with the class. They seem to think everything is peachy. For what it's worth, I made an imperial agent just to compare. I joined a warzone at level 14 with level 10 gear. I got over 25 kills and more commendations than I ever did on my sentinel. I also did nearly the same amount of damage as my lvl 31 sentinel. That is all without having 90% of the class skills available, no gear, and limited understanding of how to play the class.
  18. So the only viable way to progress is with a pocket healer. I'm glad someone else who is/was having the same issues is speaking up.
  19. You are talking about LEVEL 50 AND GEARED. Every class can be considered OP at L50 AND GEARED.
  20. Yeah, me and every other player that has an issue with sentinel are just "bad players". Great logic.
  21. And you don't see the problem with this? Every other class can handle quests their own level. Your solution is to be several levels higher than the quest? If this doesn't tell you something is wrong with our class you are in severe denial.
