  1. I have more fun playing my operative. I feel more effective playing my sorcerer. They are both perfectly viable healers, but I think my sorcerer brings more to the table at the moment. That said, I plan to stick with my operative. Having long experience with MMOs, I've learned that picking a class based on what is best at the moment is not a good long-term strategy. Play whatever you have more fun with. There will be buffs, there will be nerfs, some classes will be better at certain times or for certain things, but it's unlikely that any of the classes will be left in a state in which it is unable to perform the role for which it is designed, or that any of the classes will be left in a state in which it is so much better than others that it ends up being the only choice for any particular role.
  2. Just because I spent twenty levels desperately looking for pants, I want to reiterate this for other Seekers of Trousers: Alderaan was the first place that I found light armor pants for sale that didn't require a social rank.
  3. My additions: Dear DPS: I love you, I really do, but when things start going seriously ugly, my first priority is the tank and my second priority is me. I'm very sorry if you die, but know that you gave your life for a good cause. Everyone: Especially at low levels, before either I or the tank have all our tools, keeping everyone at full health can be a serious strain on my resources. I can often keep you all alive better and longer if I'm not wasting my energy/force/ammo trying to keep all the bars completely full. Also, between fights, you are much more capable of healing yourself than I am of healing you. Please do so.
  4. What level are you, and what skill tree are you using? Also, right click just activates the first slot on your action bar.
  5. Aren't you both saying the same thing?: the same amount of damage, dished out quicker; which is, by definition, higher DPS.
  6. Strange. What level is she? Does she have any other class missions?
  7. What ability are you using when this happens?
  8. When you first get a ship, there will be a quest to use the holoterminal on the ship. That may be what triggers the next quests; has she done that yet?
  9. No. My sage (level 17) is still on Coruscant and already has the quest. I received it automatically when I got my ship, along with "The Expedition", sending me to Taris.
  10. "The Professor" is the Consular class mission that sends you to Nar Shaddaa. You should receive it automatically when you finish Coruscant and get your ship, at the same time that you receive the mission to go to Taris.
  11. If you want stealth, scoundrel/operative is your only option. If you want ranged attacks, you want anything except scoundrel/operative. They all heal from range. All the healing classes play differently but are perfectly capable healers and useful in pvp, so it's really comes down to a question of which play style, aesthetic, and story-line you're more interested in.
  12. You're not doing anything wrong. As far as I've been able to figure out, shortcuts to action bar abilities simply don't work if the action bar is hidden. This applies to both the companion action bar and your own.
  13. This is only true of Sniper, by the way. Operative is very mobile (and doesn't have any energy barriers to hide behind).
  14. You gain points based on the choices you personally make in the conversation, not on the outcome.
  15. Does it reset every week, or only after a week of not using it? Those aren't the same thing.
