  1. Am I the only one that read The OP and thought it was saying: >>>>>>>> Wow, it only took 6 weeks for the farmers/powerlevelers to show up en-force. I just saw an ad for a powerleveling service that will get your character Fully PVE geared, you just have to pass off control of the account three nights a week for them to raid on it. Do you guys think that would be worth $15 a month for the service? Why can't the MMO developers make PvE content dynamic enough to keep me from being bored so I don't mind raiding for myself? >>>>>>>> Rough translation of what I though he was saying, but yeah.... I guess it's because I'm totally PvP minded and hate PvE, but I missed the point there pretty bad till I saw some of the replies.
  2. Killing people is fun? Doing so in a video game results in less jailtime?
  3. I'm 42. I have over 100 expertise. It gives a little over 3% pvp bonus. It makes a difference. FYI, the expertise mods from the weapons are not all created equal, especially the level 42 weapons. There are some with 17, and other with 21. I think most of the level 46 weapons have 25exp enhancements, look though the whole list to decide which one you want before you just drop it on something for your class. as a sorcerer at level 34 and 38 I was stripping operative rifles and some dual bladed light saber. for the level 42 ones it was a blaster... The enhancement from the level 42 weapon is actually usable at 41 The enhancement from the level 46 weapon is actually level 45 IIRC. The rest of the stuff in the weapon can be used for other gear or your pets gear. If you just sell the weapon after pullng out the expertise enhancement it is worth ~ 1600-1800 credits, which almost covers the cost of taking out the exp enhancement. Expertise is not a 50 only stat, ignore the whiners. If you want Expertise gear, make it yourself.
  4. Agree. I'm having to run my friend's low level alts through gear collection runs in instances to try and get some social points. I leveled to 42 with my only PvE from the moment I dinged 10 till now being my storyline quests, and now I have to go back and listen to the silly PvE voice acting BS just to get my sandpeople armor. Why does a PvP minded player need sandpeople armor? When huttball is 5-0 and we are farming, who would not be extra humiliated by getting killed by a sandperson?
  5. Stopped reading right here. WOW invented NOTHING. There were online games before WOW. There were online games before 3d graphics. There were online games before any graphics.
  6. We do people keep saying this? It's like they get to 50 and suddenly this magical gate opens up and allows them to PVP and build up expertise gear... From everything I've seen DR means you will not get too far over 11% pvp bonus... You can have over 3% at level 41. You can have right around 4% at level 45. At 50 with the commendations you saved up for your initial gear buy I'd be suprised to find that you were not at at least 8%, which seems to be the sweet spot anyway. But everyone complains about the expertise on the BM gear.... You know, it is still high stat purple gear. Why is so much of that hate focused on expertise? Why do people treat expertise as a level 50 stat that magically appears on BM gear only? You want expertise when you hit 50, have some.
  7. You are complaining about an animation drawing attention to you? Try having half of the skills your character has draw a line straight to you, across the battlefield, in... GIANT FLASHY LIGHTNING Yeah, don't complain to a sorcerer about an animation making you a target. But yes, Our AE heal had no initial hit, just the HOT pulses... I'd have rather they gave us the initial pulse, rather than take it way from you, but whatever.
  8. I'm actually glad to hear this. I'm a level 42 Sorcerer with a little over 100 expertise, so 3% pvp bonus. It seems to make a pretty big difference, especially at the level I'm at where I'm mostly fighting people running around in PvE green/blues. All in all at the moment I'm running roughly: 3%pvp 30%crit 60 or 70% multi from surge, got tired last night and really don't remember which implants/mods I ended up slotting, surge or power, I was going back and forth. I've already had to start playing the DR balancing act with Crit/surge vs will/power, as you can see from my fuzzy memory of my surge, I know I left crit right around 30%, going higher was too costly in my base heal numbers. I can have probably 150ish expertise by 45, I'm guessing that would be 4%... sadly from there, unless they unlock the item components from the level 50 pvp gear again, I'm pretty much stuck waiting on the non moddable pvp items to fill slots and start increasing expertise again. For now I'd say the main difference that I see is with survivability from the pvp stat, the 3% reduced damage and bonus heal is the equivilent of something like 6 points of talents being simulated by gear. I notice that I can keep myself standing through a lot more, if I'm focused on doing so, I'm still a squishy healer, but if my healign is self focused I'm not made of toilet paper any more.
  9. Done. Decent questions. I'd request that when you are presenting the results you make at least one overall comparison of the 50's vs the lowbie warzones.
  10. Why do people act like expertise is a level 50 only stat? Learn to orange item folks.
  11. Unless we are in a close combat where it will likely get broken... Stun to eat the CC break. Whirlwind /wave get back to the fight.
  12. A lot of us already do this. Buy pvp weapons. Remove the components. Put them in the orange items of your liking. You can start building Expertise at 34 via this method, which makes a big difference from the folks who just wear the 20/40 pvp set + PvE crud and only have Expertise from the one slot on their weapon. Yes, you have to buy your armoring component from the GTN or rip it out of something else, but that really the only pain. This was made a little slower with the stealth changes to commendations and PVP item costs recently, but still works just fine.
  13. I went there at 36 the other day. Threw a few heals, died a couple times. This is a great way to see how well bolster works in warzones, go without it for a couple hours.
  14. Agree. When neither team can even get past the first door you should both get loss messages, no exp or valor, and be debuffed into ewoks with level 1 critter-level stats for 30 minutes.
