  1. I am seriously considering buying a new Monitor with Nvidia #d Vision 2 supoort. What I would really like to know if SWTOR in 3D is worth it and playable in normal situations as questing, FP's and OPS? Furthermore: RofHC has been released. Are there any improvements to the 3D issues as mentioned before?
  2. Edit: You can also contact any officer in Tranquility and they'll help you on your way!
  3. Hey there, <TRANQUILITY> (rep) is looking for older blood to bolster our ranks. What we are looking for : Older (over 25y) people People who prefer fun over loot People who like to do stuff together with guildies People who like to be on voicechat People who like to do Flashpoints and OPS together in a non-hardcore way People who care as much about others as about themselves What you can expect : Fun Respect and helpfull guildies A bit of banter Guild OPS and Flashpoints Helpfull guildies a sister guild on "the other side" What you won't get: Drama Fights over loot Personal attacks If this sounds like you, then don't hasitate to contact me ingame (or if i'm offline through ingame mail) on one of these characters: CATCHME or CATROOP Cheers, Nick
  4. Hey there, Maybe our guild < Tranquility> is something you like. We are somewhat older players doing stuff together like flashpoints and OPS in a non-hardcore way. We don't care about race, gender, sex, but we do care about respect and having fun with PEOPLE. You will find a good mix of male and female players in our guild. We use Mumble as our preferred voice server. If you guys are interested don't hasitate to contact anyone in Tranquility and ask for Nick/Nico. Hope to see you online soon.
  5. Well. It happened to us last night AGAIN. This time just after we killed the last boss in Koan. One of our group members had a clientcrash and voila: popup to go to another flashpoint and finishing the dialogue in Koan didnt give us the daily tokens. Two days in a row now. IF Bioware states that this is intended then i'm not going to use the finder anymore because from where I stand this is clearly broken. There is no reason whatsoever to requeue us for a new flashpoint. IF the reasoning behind this was to prevent kicking people just after or before killing the boss and replacing them with guildies ONLY do this after a vote to kick and not when there is a connection loss. Easiliy solved imo.
  6. Hey there, I was wondering if the following issue was known (by Bioware or other players). We submitted outselves with 4 guildies in the groupfinder and Taral V was selected for us. After killing a few mobs one of our guildies had a dc (was still in the group but had a dc icon on his name). Since we know that happens sometimes to him we decided to wait and after 1 minute he came back. the log stated "name" reconnected. Now we got another message from the groupfinder to travel to a flashpoint again (Koan). We still had all the T5 quests open and we had new koan quests open so we didnt know what to do. We decided to proceed with T5 to see if we would still get out Black Hole tokens. Answer: No For us this wasn't an issue because we where at the start of the FP but it would have been when this dc had occured at the final boss. Is this a know issue? Anyone else had this? TL:DR: If someone has a DC in the groupfinder and comes back another Flashpoint will be selected.
  7. Thanks for the extensive answer. I can see where the mmo-mechanics in your signature comes from Just tested this: When I put Static barier on my companion when I already pressed attack the mobs DONT aggro me but him. (I tested this from quite far off so his taunt wouldn't interfere). Having said all this. I don't see this as a big deal anyway. Just thought it was a bit odd. But the threat/aggro mechanics you explained where extra info which help me with most other things to. Thanks for that.
  8. Hey there, I am trying to level up a Sith Sorcerer and i've noticed something a bit odd concerning Static Barrier. I use the first companion as tank and normally speaking I put Static barrier on him and then press the ATTACK button on his bar with an enemy mob selected. When I do that the other way around i.e. press ATTACK first with an enemy mob selected and then select him and press Static Barrier all mobs will be aggrroed even if me and my companion are miles away. Is this intended behaviour?
  9. Something weird has happened to me playing this game. While other MMO's make me FEEL I HAVE to level, this game doesn't. Having played WoW, Rift, Lotro, AoC a lot I can safely say SWTOR is one of the most pleasant MMO's i've played. My guild and me are running occasional HM flashpoint and or only now planning our first OPS. Not because we are slow, old, bad players or anything but just because everyone in our guild feels the same: Let's ENJOY what we are doing and take it one step at the time. So we haven't cleared everthing, done everything and we are getting new content ALREADY I am personally very much looking forward to the release of 1.2 which will bring so much new stuff that levelling a new toon on either side (empire or republic) feels like a new experience. My subscription and my wifes still has 45 days on it and I can safely say we will resub after that period. As for the main topic here: I personally think this week is a tad to soon for release and my guess would be next week or the week after that at latest. I wish it was this week though.
  10. A positive and constructive post. Thats how this should work. Maybe create a topic with a wishlist for the game, let people contribute to that list and after some time have a vote on the items?
  11. What is the big deal here? A starting MMO of this size will have (and all the other ones did have) downtime because of maintanance and unexpected bugfixes. Let Bioware do their jobs in getting them fixed first and after that let them focus on getting their support crew doing their jobs in our offtimes. What if we lose a few hours of gametime? I know it's 2012 and the end is neigh (according to some) but surely SWTOR's downtime doesnt qualify as such. Before you start asking: Yes, I am from Europe/The Netherlands and when the servers are down i'll just do something else.
  12. THAT is your own doing I think. If you rush rush rush to cap you will be in the situation you are in now. If you happen to play for fun and are able to enjoy something without feeling the need to a. Be the first to 50 b. want gear gear gear you might actually stay somewhere longer. My advice: Try to enjoy other aspects of the game instead of rushing everything. The rewards will prove higher
  13. As with all new products there are bound to be issues. I do fully agree with you that Bioware does a fantastic job in listening to their customers and talking to them. Although some of the PvP issues might or might not be addressed in other way it's not the end of the world and I think they will solve this. Pity some of the people fixate their lives on Ilum and PvP and before seeing the results of Biowares actions start screaming "cancel cancel cancel" I will follow your lead and extend my subscription because I think Bioware did a very good job with this game. Although it doesnt look innovative I think underneath the skin it is.
