  1. While this was perfect for you, it was precisely my problem. I have diabetic retinopathy, which has degraded my vision to the point that the state requires an annual written recommendation from my eye surgeon if I'm to keep my driver's license. For me, abilities with a long cooldown that had a few more seconds left were indistinguishable from those that were ready to fire. The icon flash wasn't a good indicator for me because if I'm not looking directly at the icon there is a chance I'll miss the flash or be unsure which one flashed. I play a juggernaut, and I use the actual Rage bar as my indicator for when I should change my rotation. I find it much easier to see at a glance, and knowing when I'm running low or maxing out is more helpful to me than is a lit icon that could represent two different states. And I didn't notice the white border at all when I was playing this morning. I'll have to look for it this evening. I'm not claiming my approach is better than yours, but I for one find the new system much easier to use, and I suspect your preference for the former style to be a minority view.
  2. Why do the commendation vendors have Deft mods, but not Elusive or Resilient mods?
  3. I read in an interview of one of the devs last fall that Bioware was actively supporting neutrality as a third option, rather than simply leveling Light Side or Dark Side. I was pretty excited about this. I've played my main with this in mind, a tough but fair juggernaught who considers wanton violence to be useless, and favors diplomacy to battle. I like how it has played out over the first act. I feel I've been able to stay fairly true to my concept, and I've managed to remain neutral. That's where the problem comes in. I have seen no incentive For a Gray path. On Dromund Kaas, the Revanite camp gave me hope, but it appears to have been false. Those who go full tilt Light or Dark get access to some pretty cool items. As a Gray I am not locked out of using any color of color crystal, and that's about it. That's a pretty weak alternative. What I've learned from the Star Wars universe is that binary thinking will fail you. The Sith's flaw is that they focus on personal gain to the exclusion of others; the Jedi flaw is that they deny themselves too much in service to others. True strength lies in finding the balance. No one is exclusively good or evil, and it's an overly simplistic view to promote both extremes and ignore the fact that while we have civilized ourselves we remain animals with a primal nature. I make my conversation decisions based on finding the balance between my character's primal and noble urges. The interview led me to believe that such a path would receive as much incentive as going full Light or full Dark. I have yet to see it. I greatly enjoy the game, and I will continue to try to keep to my Gray path despite there being no tangible benefit. I'm just a little disappointed.
