  2. Are PvP players getting crapped on all over again? Here is what I figured so tell me if I am wrong. Look at the Tier 1 chest cost of 100 and break this down at 10 min a match: Chest 100/5 (assuming you win every match) 20 Matches 20 x 10min (basic average to keep simple) 200min That is 3 1/2 hrs straight PVP considering no que wait while you can run Most story mode ops in under an hour or just over in a none pug group. Many may argue that the last boss is the only promised drop which may be fine but people will still take advantage of this via group finder locking 1 toon at the last boss until everyone gets a drop. So 3 hours + of pvp to get a drop for 1 person of 1-2 hours to get an unassembled for 6 toons. Am I wrong? please correct if so.
  3. So if we put previous armour into legacy pieces and sold the shell we are basically screwed here and have to reaquire the piece? that sucks
  4. Not sure of the name but its the backhand stun that Jug tanks get and all of this was within 1 - 1 1/2 min. Only time I wasnt stunned or getting knocked back was when I managed to roll and hit dodge.
  5. Just finished an Alderaan Civil War against 3 snipers, Jug (tank), Sin (tank), and Sorc Healer. While fighting at mid as an Scoundrel there are two snipers posted together and I get knocked back by Cover Pulse twice, Ambush (believe its the one with the knockback), Slapped and then choked by the Jug. How am I not at full resolve after three knockbacks or at the most after the slap? I understand that this instance is a rare situation but come on but how is this countered by either an operative or even a mara for that matter? Jugs can spec into unstoppable, merc/powertech have HO, and if a sorc is in this situation there is a L2P issue .
  6. I can do this on assassin and it is not a bug. This happens if a player is dumb enough to stand near the ledge and you shadow stride from stealth, easy plant. You can do it the opposite way as well to defend against the bridge because the gap between the two platforms is in range to gap close.
  7. I have to agree with the OP here because I can 1v1 mercs on scoudrel, deception sin, veng Jug, and Vir Sniper. The problem is that people do not watch DcD, have their class set up wrong for PvP, or fail to switch targets. This is the same complaining that happened previously when players were rage whining about Juggs. When I come up on a merc in a 1V1 situation and see responsive safeguard or their shield active that's the que for a stun and disengage limiting their DcD healing for the most part limiting them to 1 healing DcD which is unavoidable but you can Dps through it. My main since launch is a Merc and I agree that the problem is that players rage because we are not easy targets that can simply be LoS and burst down quickly anymore. You don't see threads complaining about snipers that have 6 (if im counting right) DcD's using imperial prep, unable to be closed on, multiple knockbacks (in Marksman). I can out damage a lot of arsenal mercs with Vir sniper in ranked and unranked.
  8. Its supply and demand specifically on credits because I can make more than 10 Mil in a day easy if I sat down to do it. Three servers with 24 level 65s total doing the 1 mil heroic run, simple math. My guild switched servers when the 0 cartel coin mishap occurred for 4 hours and I personally paid for 2 guild ships, all the essential to go on it, reopened all my strongholds, and bought a satele set for 40 mil. People are going to charge what they want to and Bioware isn't going to stop it because this means more players spending more time in game trying to make credits. If you don't want to farm credits in some fashion to pay for the item then you don't want it bad enough (just saying).
  9. I hit on this topic before in a thread about a month ago and the player base didn't really have any idea so I thought I would touch on it again even though patch notes are coming tomorrow. What is happening to the old PvP gear? I know expertise is going away but I am talking about if we are keeping the set bonus and ect. If they simply turn it into 208 comm level gear I will be really disappointed since it took me longer to get min/max pvp gear. Really you could run KP/EV HM in 178s on a priority week and get almost a full set of 224s. My guild did this for new raiders, let them have the 220's, so we could teach them the HM raids. I don't see why so many people were crying when I said "208 PvP should be converted into the equiv of 220 PVE gear" because come on you could gear a toon in 220s in 2 hours (except either main hand or offhand).
  10. Must be just that server because on JC I see a lot of these as well. However there seems to be a lot of no advance class ques lately. Just played a match with 3 engineer snipers + myself as same class against a team with 4 no advance job players. Was like shooting fish in a barrel during Alderaan Civil War.
  11. I might be missing something but how is this putting everyone on even ground? This in no way puts the casual player even close to being even with the hardcore ones out there because it works a little like the legacy system but with gear. You gain points to advance tiers with higher tiers having the better gear and you get points by doing content. So if I play 4 hours a night and a lot on the weekend how would this put me on par with a casual that plays 4-5 hours on the weekend total? The answer is that it does not until both plateau on the new system which the non-casual play will do way before others. Case and point can be seen on one of the Devs live streams where Eric was surprised that people had reached rank 50 legacy 1 1/2 years after legacy came out, I was legacy level 50 in about a month or two.
  12. I agree I'd say put the 208 pvp gear on par with 216 SM ops gear. If you look at the stats DPSing on a dummy the PvP gear surpasses the 208 comm gear by quite a bit while just barely losing to the 216 gear. I think the main reason for such a big difference between the 208 sets is set bonuses. Another option is to take the expertise out of the gear and just leave the set bonus alone making a sort of 208+ set or a 204+ set but who knows.
  13. As many know after 5.0 there will be no more expertise, like it or hate it but what is happening to this gear? I have looked on the forums for an answer and the live streams so if there is a post by a Dev please post it for me to read. Currently I have many 65s on 3 servers (12 Shadowlands, 5 JC, 5 Harb) and most of them are 208 min/maxed. So when I log in on Nov. 29th are all my toons going to be naked? Are the going to be in 208 crappy comm gear without any set bonus? I would think the best course of action would be to turn the old 208 PvP gear into 216 PvE set bonus gear. Before people say something such as "216 PvE gear is harder to get" it really isn't. You can get a majority of it from KP/EV SM which I have cleared with my Bounty Hunter guild 5 Man PT Tank, PT Dps, Merc DPs x2, Merc healer. But has there been any talk from the Devs on this yet?
  14. Op did you read what hit you and what match you were in? I know on Novara Coast I have been randomly killed by (kill target 0 damage) transitioning from west to east node. I have even seen groups of people fighting on east (I believe) blow up although this was a few months ago. I believe there is a glitch in this specific map that use to make this happen although I have not heard of it happening recently.
  15. I think that Bioware has really messed up PvP with class abilities and mechanics specifically in both Huttballs. For example regular Huttball and Operatives. Roll, 2 sec, roll, 2 sec, evasion, and repeat. by the time the second set of rolls is over evasion is back up from the skill tree. When teams see this they just quit trying to play objectives. Now Quesh Huttball as a melee Dps I can not gap close on sniper, sorcs, or mercs that stand up top and free cast all match or gap close on a ball carrier thats about to score. However they left sorcs with the ability to pull players to the endzone. Second thing is the ability to pass from the bottom tier all the way to the top to a stealth, this is an easy two scores with a Jugg, healer, healer, stealth premade group which to me defeats the purpose of the maps design.
  16. Ive seen a team that had two mara's on it pick up the ball pretty quick, even on sin without phase walk i can get to the ball in under 10 sec easily. Its all about knowing the angles to fall at too as that alone can shave time off of gate opening to getting the ball.
  17. Honestly I liked this one until they changed it and made ranged gods. For those that don't know you can not gap close on anyone standing in the end zone. So lets say it's 45m from end to end you can not go 15 meters and jump, you have to go up the other sides ramp so now you have to run probably 90m to get there while they stand there and free cast. This isn't just one as I have been against teams with 5+ ranged up there while the other team has almost all melee. This was the dumbest changes they have made to pvp since taking away 8v8 ranked.
  18. I did not hear this covered in the live streams and have not seen it posted in the forums but with the new level increase will the level of operation bosses be increased to reflect outgoing damage and healing?

  20. So the short version: I bought Satele Shan's boots and already had 4/5 pieces unlocked. I was under the assumption that it did not matter which toon I bought the last piece on I just had to have 5/5 total then pay cartel coins to unlock it. Nowhere on the item or in the cartel market did it say all pieces had to be equiped on one toon. The boots cost me 25MIL on one toon for the boots with a total of around 75MIl all together. Contacted CS and the response I got from chat was basically "that sucks" followed by an email: This email is a follow-up to our in-game conversation, Regarding your request, unfortunately, we can't swap an item purchase on a character to another one in order to unlock the Set in collection. Regards, So what they are telling me is that they can not give me a locked version of an item on another toon that I paid credits for but can give people operations gear if they put in a ticket? Ive played this game since launch as a sub as well as FFXI, FFXIV, and WoW since launch and each of these can recover items and merge accounts (including moving items). Does this game just lack the ability to do so compared to games that are 10-15 years old or are they just that terrible. I feel that this will be my last month subbing because I have been on the fence for a while but this was the last straw.
  21. How is this so? The class change preview only showed them losing 2.4% off 1 of 5 heals while on the other hand dps classes are losing 3+ abilities @ 2-5% dmg each. So they nerf dps 6%+ while nerfing sorc heals 2% and this is addressing the issue? As a side note I am also kindof outraged that Assassin is losing Phase Walk and Sorc is not, ffs it started as a Sin only ability.
  22. I know there have been a couple of post in the server forums all without any responses from Dev team so thought I would put it on here. I know that Shadowlands is having DC issues as whole guild DC'd out of Dread Palace HM 2x so I went to pvp on Jedi Covenant with my Death guildies and we DC's out of a couple of PvP matches. Has anyone seen any posts addressing this yet?
  23. How much more simple can it get? They already took away the individuality of skill tree's for one. The second is taking away main stat and surge because evidently it was too hard to figure out for somebody somewhere. You no longer have to actually watch for procs as they glow when you proc them. Any more simple they might as well just have quick shot and saber strike.
