  4. There is a similar problem with Salvaging missions for the fluxes. Grade 4 missions give Blazing fluxes instead of Thermofluxes and Thermofluxes are unobtainable right now except from the Vendor NPCs
  5. Torian also missing after Taris on my merc. =O
  6. So 4.0 was patched after I was level 35, with Mako and Gault as companions. Today, I finished the Taris questline and Torian joined my crew on the ship. However, when I open the crew skills and alliance tabs, Torian is not listed as a companion. I cannot summon him anywhere. Can anyone help please?
  7. Wow the server has only been down for a few hours and this happened after regular business hours. What's not to say they are working as hard as they can to figure out what is wrong in order to fix it? Stop being so self entitled and crying over everything. Go sleep, get a drink, do something else. Sometimes it helps to be unplugged.
  8. Actually, it depends on how you use synthweaving. I find that synthweaving T1 procs are better than what's available from drops, quests, commendations and maybe even mods. They are also easier to proc now with 1.2. I make awesome gear for my main and alts from synthweaving. But the benefits are largely restricted to L1-49 (as others have said). Once you hit 50, the awesome T2 L49 gears you crafted gets overpowered by Columni/Rakata gear and even Recruit gear (especially in PvP). That makes the L49 crafts for synthweaving somewhat redundant. They also don't look that great either (particularly heavy armor). One exception is the crafted Rakata armband and belt (proc); those are awesome for the sage/sorc. Synthweaving does let you craft War Hero augmented though - which is nice if you're into PvP. They also sell well (each piece goes for 100k plus) - provided your server is populated enough.
  9. Perhaps the PvE players are where the subscribers still exist. On my server, the hardcore PvP guilds left long ago. Hence the focus on PvE content. It is probably easier to design those than to figure out how to properly fix PvP.

    You can't improve your gear/stats when you have full Rakata and waiting hours for a queue pop. Hence the forums. Oh, and I'm more interested in competitive gameplay than roflstomping on undergeared 'newbs'. But that's just me.
  11. The multiplier bit is true. But why is it acceptable for healers to bang their heads against the wall as opposed to DPS? So its not 'dumb' for a healer to not being able to heal because they must be easily killed by a DPS unless there are good players who know how to support them?

  13. I think I was among the first on my server to respec into TK (Lightning) tree heals for my sage. It works far better for survivability than the AOE tree. Healing numbers are less though (if you care more about that kind of thing). It definitely helps cope with 1.2 changes, but the dependency on the team is still there.
  14. Basically, he said that he feels healers are fine, and the OP isn't skilled enough to play the class, and new players will need more skill to play as healers than as other classes. I would like to pit my powertech/guardian against Ohlen as sage/sorc healer.
  15. I agree with 2. not so much with 1 and 3. Group play is also dependent (in part) on 1v1 capabilities. If a healer (sage/sorc) is more easily killed, then a group need only send one DPS to lock them down. If that healer cannot defend, more of the team is diverted towards protection rather than objectives and DPS. Classes that are strong in 1v1 also means that groups with more of these classes have a natural advantage in PvP. This is true where WZs are largely pugs who do not work as a team, and PvP often degenerate into 1v1s.
