  1. I can sometimes be seen abusing idiots.. but only when they ARE being idiots. Example: if you let the other team get 4 points in 2 minutes in huttball by letting them leap up to you on the goal line and you are STILL STANDING ON THE GO DAMN LINE? I am going to call you stupid. Because you ARE. If I'm sneakily ninjaing a point in CW with two enemy standing feet away but not looking, and you decide to run over and attack them and THEN run over to stand next to me whilst fighting, guaranteeing they turn and see me? Well yeah. Same thing. But yes. There are plenty of situations where you all do your best but the other team wins anyway. Big deal. There's one guy on my server in particular who will NEVER stick around in a game unless it's a steamroll win. Even if we're down by a tiny tiny bit he will abuse everyone and leave. Every time. Those people suck.
  2. Stopped there... Not because 'wah wah I wanna kill healers' but because you very clearly do not understand the role of a healer in PvP. You also are bad at PvP because well played healers are still extremely effective and very hard to kill. Prior to 1.2, equal geared DPS vs healer you could spam one button and never die. Ever. That's gone and it should be - now you need to play properly.. don't see a problem with this personally. Oh and if your argument is "I get focused and die" - tough. NOONE can live through 8 people attacking them. If your team lets you die over and over that's because you're on a bad team.
  3. I just want to say THANKYOU. When the servers are back up and I can see what the differences are I'll be more sure, but I am very happy to see these changes.
  4. I would be fine with the changes if I wasn't constantly seeing this: 1) Match Start 2) Other team gains advantage within first few minutes 3) 3 people drop the game 4) We're now 5v8. Other team gains even bigger advantage 5) New joiners see a sinking ship and immediately leave. We stay at 5v8 at the best. 6) Those 5 players work hard but ultimately have no chance, thus losing. By a lot. 7) Those 5 player get the same rewards as a team that lets the other guys steamroll them - ie, none - despite having done all they could and worked hard for the win. Yes, this is a team game, but while you have stopped 'freeloaders' to a point, you've done so whilst punishing active players. Personally I'd rather accommodate the freeloaders if that's the choice we're facing.
  5. It's been 3 days and the queue times have already increased significantly on my server. When you do get in, the odds of a fun even game are near zero. Almost every time one side or the other is a premade who stomps the other. Even when on the winning side, this is FAR less fun then before. My favourite games were the close ones, not the stompings, regardless of which side you were on. Basically, PuGs are no longer queuing. Or at least a LOT less than they were previously. PLEASE fix this, I want people to play with.
  6. It seems a little pointless to add the craftable BM designs so people can get augment slots, then make you choose between a set bonus and an augment.
  7. OK I've done some searching and it's very clear the OLD BM set will not transfer the set bonus if you remove the mods from it. Does this apply to a fresh set bought in 1.2? The PvP gear for inquisitors is rather ugly but losing the set bonus would be a bit of a failure, and 111k to find out is kind of steep. So, has anyone moved the mods from the existing BM gear and placed it into another shell, taking the set bonus with it? Cheers.
  8. I was a little annoyed.. it's like LOOK AT THIS AWESOME NEW LEGACY SYSTEM! LEVEL UP AND PAY CREDITS TO BUY BACK AN ABILITY YOU ALREADY PAID FOR TO TRAIN! ... wait. Would have been nice to have a new ability granted. After all, the class was originally balanced with said abilities, now everyone can have it.. But, it is a minor annoyance. I used it during tough class quest fights and not much else TBH.
  9. No, being BAD at PvE costs repair bills . I've made plenty of credits without incurring a big bill.
  10. Sweet - please adjust all PvE content to only give you exactly as much money as required for repairs. Yeah! Damn PvPers! Being happy and able to focus on the parts of the game they like! Better fix THAT right away, make em do stuff they don't like, THAT will make them keep playing! .. The money from PvP was only a decent amount if ALL you did was PvP. Like I said.. you can easily make over 100k from dailies without too much effort. If I want to spend all that time PvPing instead, why can't I get credits from that? After all, the dailies give comms, which then turn into gear, same as PvP..
  11. You can't. PvP has been removed as a method of playing the game. That's not to say PvP has been removed, but you now MUST engage in other things like crafting/PvE regardless of whether you want to or not so you can make credits. I'm honestly very disappointed.. I was so happy when I started playing this game and saw that I got to make money from PvP, thus not needing to go do things I didn't want to do. Example - I spent today PvPing. I made next to no credits. If I'd spent the day doing dailies I would have made over 100k easily.
  12. So, I primarily PvP and honestly, the battlemaster set for Assassins is god damn UGLY. Like seriously ugly. But that's OK, I can move it to a new set right? In fact I have some gear I love the look of and I want my character to be wearing. So.. can I do this? Well... yes, yes I can. For about 900k. That's what it costs to pull all the mods out of a full set of BM gear and put them into a new set. Wow. OK. That's a lot of cash, but thats OK I PvP a lot.. oh.. you nerfed the PvP income.. I don't really have that much cash. 1.2 was touted as giving us the ability to make our characters look how we want them to, which yes, it has done. However considering you yourselves noted that that majority of players have less than 1 million credits total (saw that in a dev post somewhere), asking 110k per piece to move your gear about basically means people either won't do it, or they'll do it ONCE. Course if I want to upgrade my gear later without losing how my character looks I'm gonna be in for a bill... Or maybe it's just me being broke and grumpy. But I hate the way my character currently looks and I'm gonna have to put up with it for quite a while unfortunately.
  13. I've been trying a few PuGs to see if I was (hopefully) wrong. Not the case. I got one last night with an even match, which was pretty good. We won by a hair and it was fun - honestly for that game I wouldn't have really cared if we'd lost and gotten no rewards. But the rest? Urgh. I just did 2 pugs then and came across the same premade two games in a row. They destroyed everyone - they were all War Hero rank already and in full BM gear and clearly knew how to play. My teams were not well geared. A few knew how to play but even still there was no chance. And what did that premade do? They used emotes to taunt the other team. They stopped to farm people when they could have just ended the match. Their healers made them almost impossible to kill so most of our team didn't even make the 3 medal mark. So not only did we lose, they were ***** about it. I bet those guys had a good time. Those on our team were quitting left and right and I seriously doubt many requeued. I certainly didn't after 2 matches. Once again it's clear that I'll be playing premades or nothing else.
  14. Yes, but that doesn't mean they have a disadvantage. A ranged DPS can stand on a ramp in huttball and both help kill the enemy and be there to take a pass at the same time. When I'm set up for a pass I pretty much have to take myself out the fight. And in voidstar, ranged can burn the melee down on the doors.. melee can either stand there and die thus leaving the door unguarded or go out to meet them... leaving the door unguarded. Personally I think SWTOR is just fine for both melee and ranged. If you try and compare classes 1v1 in an open empty room the result may be different, but thats not how you PvP.
  15. Figure out your advantages and use them . For instance, in huttball, grab the ball, run right into the pit, hit your defensive CDs then leap up and at the morons on the other team lined up on the ramps/goal line for an easy score. Or if you spot a low HP enemy on a ramp you can leap up and kill him, putting you in a prime position for a pass. You also have insane AoE spike damage, use it. Seeing someone capping/planting and an enemy spots them? Your leap stuns people, then you can go right into a force choke and give them time to finish. One of my main PvP buddies does all of the above and more, he's an excellent guy to have in the WZ with you.
  16. It's nothing to do with getting something for free. It's 'is it fun'? Winning? Fun. Getting new gear? Fun. Leveling up? Fun. Getting money? Fun. Losing? Not fun. So. If you lose.. that's not fun.. but if you lose, get XP/credits/gear.. well all those things are fun so it's not so bad. So people keep playing. That's how it WAS. How things are? Well now, the people who win have fun! They win, they get new gear, money and XP! Awesome fun! The losers... well.. um... they got.. yeah they got nothing. See how long people queue up for that before they just stop and leave. Maybe not the game, but they WILL stop PvPing.
  17. This this and FOREVER this. Those players on the other team... if they get 2-3 more matches like that in a row.. think they're going to come back? People can whinge about how you shouldn't get anything for losing but you have to remember.. this is a game people give up their free time for. If they are not having fun they will stop coming back. PvP will boil down to a few premade teams on each server playing each other in Huttball, best case scenario.
  18. Yep.. thats what I did. Had 1000/1000 ready for 1.2, gave me 2000 WZ comms right up.
  19. I do like that as well, but I've noticed that the difference between winning and losing is a huge number of medals. It's almost impossible to win and not get 8 - if you stomp them so fast that you only get 3-4 then you get all the 'win in xx minutes' ones as well. For the losers though I've seen a few people who have worked with the team, not won and also gotten zero rewards as they only got 1-2 medals.
  20. Two things I found which are not in the patch notes that I could see Voidstar In the bridge room the gap has been greatly increased and can no longer be jumped over by consulars and inquisitors with the right timing. I believe people can still use force leap or various pulling abilities to get across though. I'm an assassin and loved making that jump - it was by no means gamebreaking unless the other team failed to watch their doors so I fail to see why it was removed. Huttball Is it just me... or did they raise the walls? Previously with the right angle and timing you could jump the wall with the air lifts and avoid the RNG. I only tried twice before stopping as missing = get beaten on so I might have just had a bad night but has this been removed? Big thumbs down to both of these changes. They both required precision and timing under pressure to get right - I think they added an excellent bit of challenge to the maps for both sides. I can't see why they were removed.
  21. Thats great for the 4 pugs in with us - however there are far far more PuGs than premades. What you are saying might happen yes, but it will be when most of the PuG players have stopped playing. Oh great. You're also assuming people will do what I've done, play premades. Not so. What a lot will do is just stop PvPing.
  22. Ahhh, so you're happy, but you also noted you won 6/8 games? Nice. Well, hope you continue to get lucky with your teams cause if you get a bad one guess what? You get nothing as well. Wait and see how that feels - you do everything right, you work with the team, you go for objectives, call incs and do everything right. Then you lose cause your team mates decide it's more fun to fight in mid. And you get nothing. I did it a few times. Now I'm playing premade only.
  23. Allow me to translate. On his server, empire win 4/5 times. He plays republic, so he has to put up with a lot of losses. He only gets 1000 valor and 40 comms for those losses, which puts him and his entire faction at a disadvantage as well as the psychological deterrent that comes with performing a task for a lackluster reward. Overall this will cause less of them to even bother queuing for PvP, further ruining the experience. Basically.. he's pissed. For good reason.
  24. Indeed. So now, I won't PuG anymore. There's no reward for me there. So thats one less decent player in there and if you look at the forums, I'm in no way alone. If you don't see this is a bad thing to happen you're not all that bright.
  25. Why? Having next to nothing as a reward doesn't encourage people to come back. That means less players and longer queues. Sound good?
