  1. ITT People who care way to much about a video game complain about something completely unimportant.
  2. This post... It is full of things that make sense. WoW is so popular because it gives you so many rewards for your efforts. ie, leveling fast.
  3. Its all a matter of opinion, some people prefer the 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, because it promotes more competitive team play, some prefer more casual PvP. Sure it would be hard to balance, but some people enjoy it. EDIT: But If they don't add it, I hope they just add some other competitive option.
  4. Hopefully this gets addressed, I'm not sure if it will however. Bioware may just blow it off and expect people to forget about it, but they wont... I'm going to keep playing though, because its a damn good time.
  5. Im a lvl 38 Sentinel, a lvl 50 sentinel can hit double for every single attack that I have, plus, they have more options, and more abilities. How is that NOT game breaking?
  6. You can't ignore the other threads in this forum saying they are having trouble. And to those who have said all melee DPS are gear dependant: This may be true, but for thsoe who have never perhaps played a melee DPS, or this is their first MMO, or they've played other classes and have switched to this. For the person who said they have the same problem on their Shadow, I can't see how since my partner can play one and have great reults, in green gear, and this is her FIRST video game experience.

  8. Damage is not the problem, we have nothing else, I bet 90% of the time, you're assisted in some way.
  9. I agree with what you said about the medals thing, also the ability to conert 30 centering into a 20% heal is a great idea as well. I believe that would balance a lot, its right up there with a passive upgrade for damage reduction for me. Well said.

This is a complete and utter contradiction... I'm assuming you did it on purpose to prove a point? Because, having to out level your class content to complete it does in fact mean there is solo gameplay issue. If we need to be 3 levels over our content to complete it, then thats a major issue considering no other class has to, also, relying on Doc should not be the only thing that helps us out, we get more companions later for a reason. If youre geared at level, you can beat at level content, but its still very challenging. If youre not, you will fall far behind, whereas with other classes, they don't need to be geared and can simply faceroll any of their at level content, not really concerned with gear.
  11. Mhm, this is exactly my point. I think you just misunderstood what I meant when I said it was a class problem, Its a problem with the class because in comparison to the other classes it is dependent on gear, which means its abilities, or damage, isn't as good as the other classes. This in turn makes it a class problem.

This is also important, but I've read a lot of threads where: Person A: Is doing everything right but can't seem to beat said enemy and Person B: Is wearing orange gear and is doing everything right, beats enemy no problem, then proceeds to say person A has no skill in the game. The point is, these "Person B's" say you suck at the game, sentinel is fine, and you're doing everything wrong. While the only actual thing dividing the two players in their gear. This proves that there is indeed something wrong with the class. I can provide my own bit of personal experience. Darth Angral was a tough boss, I interrupted fine, if not perfect, used every CD I had, and still had trouble with him at level. Then I went out and bought some good orange at level gear (Or acquired it through flashpoints, etc..) And I was able to take him down significantly easier.
  13. Good move, but I think 20% would be far too much, 10% would be amazing, but if we ever get any, I'd expect more like 5%.

  15. I believe that the main reason the community is so divided on the sentinel (in terms of PVE) Is because of one thing. Gear. In almost every single post about the subject, one underlying fact that seems to occur is that those defending the sentinels PvE ability are in great gear, and those who are having problems, are in almost all green gear. That's the difference. But its a problem, other classes find questing easy while being in bad gear, ours only finds it easy in good gear.

  17. Get better gear, and things will improve a lot. Believe me, the one thing you will notice with everyone "defending" the sentinel, is they have better gear then the people having trouble.
  18. Its a really good class, but its garbage. Why do I say this? I say this in regards to our community and my own personal insight to this class. The sentinel community is far and wide the most divided community on the forums, half believe the class is perfectly fine as is, which it is. The other half believe the class needs some buffs because of how it under-performs, which it does. But that doesnt make much sense now, does it? From what I can gather from the forums and my own personal insight is this. The class is a powerhouse, capable of rocking the other team with high DPS and is able to top damage in a lot of cases, yet, this is very situational. The sentinels damage is fine, we currently have some of the best in the game, however we have little else. We are more or less a situational class, with a healer we have both the damage and survivability that can lead us to great things, but without it we die easily, in a lot of situations. In groups the same thing occurs. With the focus tree we have some of the best AOE and damage, and if we are not being targeted, we dominate. Yet while being solo, it is hard for us to escape and survive. It is not our damage that needs change, its something else. Let me give you a bit of a personal experience. The other day my partner was leveling her new Sith Assassin, shes new to these games and wanted to try some PvP, she got in and was having trouble so I decided to show her some pointers to PvP. I was shocked. This class was incredible, while it didnt have quite the damage of my higher level sentinel, it had so many more options while being over 20 levels below with over half the skills and only a few points into her tree. Strong CDs, Stuns, knockback, stealth, everything, while also being a hard hitter. This seems balanced, sure, I mean, a lot of of nice options in turn for some damage right? well no.. thats not quite it. The fact that this class has these all these options while it can still dish out damage close to ours is not balanced. With these options it has increased survivability, meaning it is on the field longer, which in turn creates more opportunities for stronger team presence. So in a team setting, this class is much stronger. And this is just one class in the game. The sentinel has the perfect damage, it just needs a little more of something to truly set it on par with the other classes in the game. I understand we have great CD's, a nice stealth option and a few stuns/roots. But we just need a little buff to push on on par. This isn't even touching on our PvE, which again is very divided amongst the community, I believe our class is played differently then others, while it could be that it is harder, it could be something entirely different, this is up for debate. I believe one of THE MAIN ASPECTS of this is the fact that our class struggles if NOT geared, while with good gear we do fine, seriously, look at the community and those defending the sentinel almost always say they are in full - almost full orange gear, weird huh? However, this is still unbalanced as the majority of the other classes find it easy in normal gear (green, blue.) tl;dr Sentinel has great damage, it just needs something little to set it on par. So what do you guys think it needs? Personally, I think our strongest abilities for survival lie in our Force Camo and CD's, if these could be buffed slightly in someway, (perhaps making force camo last longer?) could make us an on par class with the others.
  19. This is because Jedi Knight has blue in this equivalent, meaning, when there is no active crystal, their lightsabers will be Blue, whereas consulars are green.
  20. Republic can indeed get magenta, through doing a few things on a couple other planets you are granted access to it on Illum, after defeating a strong mob of course.

Green- The other general crystal on republic and the main colour crystal for the Jedi Consular class. Available through drops, artificing, and buying weapons with this colour crystal. Blue and green are available to the imperial side through all these means but are only usable if you have lightside points. Red- Your general crystal on imperial, easy to aquire, through artificing and buying from vendors, only usable on republic if you have dark side points or you are neutral in some instances. Yellow- Available through artificing, drops, and vendors Orange- A rarer crystal, available through drops and some mid-late game vendors. Magenta- The current rarest crystal in the game, more can be found about this on the forums. Yellow- Black- Pre-order bonus crystal. Blue- Black- End-game gear crystal for republic. Green- Black- Possibly through razer products. Red- Black- End-game gear crystal for empire. Purple- PvP end-game gear crystal for empire Cyan- PvP end-game gear crystal for republic White- Unknown to be in the current build at this time, if it is, it is extremely hard to find.

  23. I like the idea, would be nice to see something extra for the republic I think it would help even it out, but I don't think it would balance it.
  24. Luke seems more like a level 50 Sent because of the time he was dual-wielding a red and green lightsaber, seems pretty damn awesome to me.
