  1. Great advice here. REST after you defeat him before continuing the dialogue. ... ... No reason, just do it.
  2. Yes, you have three choices: surname, title, or hide. My character is Lorkeon. My set title is Knight of the Republic. My legacy is Dawnwarden. My guild is Nameless Souls So my nameplate can be shown as: Lorkeon Dawnwarden, Knight of the Republic <Nameless Souls> Lorkeon, Knight of the Republic The Dawnwarden Legacy <Nameless Souls> OR Lorkeon, Knight of the Republic <Nameless Souls>
  3. I hit my Legacy in the morning. I closed the annoying pop-up every time I zoned or opened my skill panel for the next level. I fussed and fiddled with different ideas for my legacy name all day at work, and finally settled on Dawnwarden. (Lorkeon Dawnwarden is my main.) I was very happy with this--then I logged into my Sith Marauder... Xorne Dawnbringer. Okay, so I had NO IDEA it was going to be on all my characters; I also did not know I could show "The <insert> Legacy" instead of a surname. Both affect what I would choose. I'm pretty disappointed, and my only question now is if I DELETE the main character, will my Legacy be reset? I'll level up again as punishment for not reading the pop-up closer (though I REALLY think I shouldn't have to check a forum to tell what will happen), but if that's not going to clear my Legacy... ****.
  4. On that fight in Mandalorian Raiders, it was the easiest fight we had. Our healer (scoundrel) tranq'd the sniper. I (guardian) leaped onto the warrior and started wailing on him. The commando used concussion grenade (the long CC?) on the inquisitor, and our sage used force lift of the bounty hunter. They then all turned to the warrior and joined in. Despite some annoying knockbacks he died quickly. I started wailing on the sniper next, while killing him the commando and sage refreshed their CC. Then we killed the inquisitor, and finally the bounty hunter. The scoundrel barely had to do more than drop HOTs on us. CC is your friend. The first trash pack in Mandalorian Raiders is a prime example of tanking in TOR. 2 elites, 2 strong, and a few normals. CC 1 elite, tank the other, DPS AE down the normals, while the tank AEs the strongs a little to get some aggro. DPS move to the strongs, and will pull aggro, but the strongs will be almost dead by then anyway. They move to the elite and burn it down, then break the CC'd one and finish it off. Healer can DPS most of the fight.
  5. Defense: 5% avoidance debuff 6% melee/range defense 6% melee/range defense buff 40% damage reduction cooldown 4% shield chance boost high threat/4 stun +stun to Force Leap -channel to Force Stasis (stun = dmg reduction) +absorption to Force Storm +4% elemental/internal damage reduction Vigilance +20% dmg reduction to Force Leap (4s) +4% endurance (and Guardian Leap lowers YOUR AGGRO too now) +4% damage reduction To answer your question: Defense.
  6. I sent Kira in, and ran in myself. DPS'd till his first cast, Force Stasis. Continued attacking till his second cast, Force Push + Force Leap. On his third cast, Kick + Master Strike. Then I started through defensive cooldowns Sabre Ward, Ward Stance, Enure. I used a medpack when it would heal for full. Finished with Kira at about 50% (AE damage) and I was... 60%ish? Main thing is spread out your pauses (Stasis, Push) and then spread out your defensives to give Kira more time on target. Kira and I both had 70 rating hilts, FYI. First 14 commendations on each planet are for new hilts.
  7. First boss: The dogs only do a lot of damage when they are in the circle the boss creates around himself. The dogs can't be taunted either, and seem to randomly switch aggro. Keep them separated from the boss and you can either kill the dogs then boss, or the other way around. I've found it easiest to kill the dogs first, then it's just a straight fight. Second Boss(es): Crowd control is the key here. Keep as many of them CC'd as you can, and I suggest killing the warrior first, as his knockback/aggro wipe is very annoying. If you don't CC at least 1-2 of them, it's an incredibly healing intensive fight. Also--use your interrupts to stop their channeled specials. Last Boss: Kill him, kill turrets, move out of his targetted AE. Rinse repeat. EDIT: Regarding the Flashpoint as a whole, while I do flashpoints with my guildmates (we've been playing MMOs together since EQ) on a Guardian tank, Scoundrel heal, and Sage damage, plus one PUG member, I think folks need to understand that TOR tanks more like Champions Online of City of Heroes/Villians. You don't need to aggro everything you see--just the dangerous stuff. One of the first packs in Mandalorian Raiders is 2 elite droids, 2 strong humanoids, and 3 standard humanoids. We CC'd one elite, I did Force Leap into the other, ran to the strongs and did Force Sweep, then we killed off the strongs first, then the elite, then the last elite. I didn't even give the standards a second glance, the commando dropped them before they moved. Your healer can drop a standard if needed. I lose aggro on a strong? Probably won't even bother with a taunt--it will be dead before it even hits whoever pulled aggro most likely. Elite+ is what the tank needs to keep on themselves, and then strong if you have room left in the healers ability to keep you alive. I'm not saying never worry about non-elite mobs, but if there's a pack of 3-4 Standard mobs off to the side and 3 elites for the main pack, just worry about them, your Damage (and healer) can drop them so fast they aren't an issue. (That said, in Cademimu last night I started a pull by Force Pushing an elite into a pack of standards, followed by Force Leap to Force Sweep. The healer says, "Okay, that was pretty awesome."
  8. Can you complete the quest in the same way as when you go to Ord Mantell after leaving Coruscant? I used T7 to step into the story area, switched out to Kira, then after I defeated the bad guy at the end, pulled T7 back out and finished the story portion.
  9. Currently on Nar Shadaa I don't have to stop for anything short of an elite. I'll drop 3-4 normals with a strong thrown in over and over without pause. Granted I'll smash Force Leap right into a Strong with 40% health, too. Whether or not the mob difficulty is going to catch up to Lorkeon or not doesn't affect my decision to not skip anything while leveling, but I was just looking for some insight while I'm sitting here at work. I wouldn't mind if things were a little more difficult, without having to artificially handicap myself. (Just about ready to buy that slave outfit for Kira! *rowr rowr*) Wow, my nerd-dom is complete.
  10. The slave dancer outfit on Nar Shadaa can be slotted out, but yes it's light armor. I'm probably going to buy a set for Kira and fill it up with mods.
  11. I finished off Taris last night on my Jedi Guardian, and I was almost finished with 24 by that time. I did every mission (story and general) on Tython, Coruscant, and Taris (including the bonus section). I also had completed Esseles (twice I think), Hammer Station, and Athiss (once each). I did not do any of the space battle missions yet (because I was so far ahead of the content), but I did complete every heroic mission I came across during all that time. I helped some guildmates with some missions as well, but without a mission to complete myself that XP was pretty negligible. So I did each of the space battles once to complete the missions, which also got me to 25 so I'd go into Nar Shadaa with a speeder. I've listed this preface to see how many others are experiencing the same thing? Every quest is incredibly green; I'm actually surprised they aren't grey at this point. I'm doing level 20-21 missions at 25 now, closing in quickly on 26. It's not a complaint, but does this gap close more in the future? I like having the option to skip some content when I'm ready to move on to the next world (because of level or motivation), but I really want to do all the missions on my guardian. Am I going to be destined to fight enemies 5+ levels below me all the way to 50? Or will I get to Tatooine and see the leveling curve slow down, and my enemies start to get closer to me in level?
