just 9 minutes until
until they announce that there is no wave for today
-
look man, if you got your character names and your guild set up than you got everything you need from early access, that's pretty much the whole point of it.
-
It isn't bending the rules ,it's acknowledging that they live on a different continent and in a different time zone.
-
6 hours guys,
And given how they have handled the whole launch so far, it's probably six hours until they announce they can't let any waves in today, or more likely they just don't announce anything and keep us guessing some more.

Australians go home!
No really, please, give them their own server in Australia, it's insane to expect them to play on servers that are 4000-7000 miles away , the ping must be insane.
^ hey, to the guy up there, who starts raiding on day 3 of early access launch? If you got your character and guild name, then congratulations, you already got everything you need from it.
-
No, don't apologize, after all the ******** they pulled I don't blame anyone who is still mad at them. Social environment determines acceptable behavior, the social environment here was hundreds of thousands of people who were angry at the way Bioware handled this whole launch.
-
I don't think we will get more people playing after the first month, but I don't think the population will crash either. With other MMO's , you hit 50 and do some end game stuff, and thats it, with this one, you have 7 other class stories to **** around with , spaceships to **** around with, and Im sure they will add in little minigames and casinos like Mass Effect did.
That's a big part of it really, just giving people a lot of **** to do so they dont get bored with doing nothing but raids.
-
We know the servers can handle a large amount of people, the last beta test had over a million online at the same time and the servers never missed a beat, they didn't need to spend three days to figure out that they would need a lot servers to handle 2 million people.
-
Wow, Bioware actually put this in the game?
Oh God, is it more like Balders Gate or more like Dragon Age 2?
-
what is legacy? Is that just a last name or does it do anything?
-
This is like the nerd version of some old guy going " I remember when this was all orange trees!"
-
The areas can't get overcrowded, they spin off new ones when that happens, you can jump between them if you think your instance is over crowded or if you want to group with your friends.
-
World firsts already done? I sincerely hope you're kidding. World bosses are a joke and the only people who cares about killing it first were the ones that actually wasted the time putting together a group and doing it. .
You can say that about the entire MMO genre, so why are you even here?
-
Bioware tried to do this by opening as few servers as possible and letting in as few people as possible.
They pissed off 90% of the players by only letting a small group in, then they pissed off everyone else when they finally had to let everyone in and the queues started.
They handled this whole launch really, really poorly.

Even if you DC, you still get to create your character and get your name,

WoW will die of old age, a lot of people play games for the novelty of it and space combat and voice acting makes TOR looks new and different and WoW look just that much older.
( or it will when they get around to fleshing out space combat and adding a more lines of dialogue for the player characters, cause right now you hear the same ten lines over and over again on the side quest conversations.
-
Bioware designed the whole broken system to begin with, so yes, it all goes back to them.
Half assed, poorly implemented and so very lazy, which is weird when you think about how much time and effort went into polishing the game.
-
Letting in players based on when they pre ordered has never been done before, and after this I don't think it will ever be done again.
They clearly wanted to open as few servers as possible and make sure that no server was over or underpopulated , but they way they went about it was so hamfisted and lazy that all it did was piss people off.
-
It was only three days of waiting ,yes, but it was three days of waiting while all of your friends were playing and talking about how empty the servers were, and knowing that you were missing out on all of that for reasons that were never explained.
It was a really hamhanded attempt to corral all of the players and it just pissed everyone off.
-
Making people wait on saturday morning would just be mean.
-
we just finished a 72 hour queue, 45 minutes is nothing compared to that.
Also, you are on day 3 of the launch at 9 oclock prime time , so , yeah, there is going to be a queue.

12 more hours
