  1. Companions never has any business performing as well as actual players and being a viable option in group content. The nerf was needed and justified and BW could probably stand to nerf them further of it helps discourage solo play for quests that have been intended to be done in a group since launch.
  2. You'd be better off playing FFXIV. They actually release good content on a timely manner and talk to their community where as BW lets this game go for a year without new content and never says a word to the community.

You'd actually be better off trying the two week trial. The combat is much slower and you have to get used to weeaboo pedophiles running around everywhere.

  3. Wait, Star Wars Galaxies still exist? I think I have a character or 2 on that game.

I haven't played in years, where do I find it if it still exist?

It exists in the sense that some people who aren't affiliated with Sony are reverse engineering the game. Your characters are gone forever.

  4. And what I'm saying is that is a broken old idea that needs to die.

Why would you wish to support such outdated thinking?

When you make an expansion to a game, it should be more, not less. The fact that lvl 55 HM FP aren't even in GF is a huge oversight, we always had the lvl 50 HM FP in GF in 2.0.

You were one of those people whining about how this game didn't have as much to do at launch as WoW did after seven years of updates, weren't you? You're oblivious that you expect an expansion that's been out for a month, where at least a week the Bioware staff was out on holidays, to an expansion that had been updated for over a year and a half.

  5. The game is pretty random with how it responds to hardware. People with the latest/greatest setups can have worse performance than what you're getting on your current build. All I can comment on is what I've seen, if you're getting 30+ fps with your laptop then you're outperforming mine that beats it in most benchmarks. If you're looking at laptop in a store, see if they'd be willing to install SWTOR on it and let you try playing on it. Other than that, the system might be an upgrade or it might be one of those instances where the engine doesn't like the computer and performs worse than it should.
  6. The dedicated is much better than integrated, but the CPU isn't very powerful. The 2670qm in my three year old laptop beats the 4500u is practically all the benchmarks, what kind of processor do you have in the machine with integrated graphics?. Also the 4GB of RAM doesn't help things, but that's an easy enough upgrade. If you already own this computer you should just try the game on it, otherwise look for something with a bit beefier CPU.
  7. Do you need an SSD for anything specific? Such as virtual machines? All you really get from SSDs is speed, also there was a debate thread a little while ago looking at whether they benefit this game at all. You'd be able to cut some cost if you look for something with a mechanical HDD and probably find something with a better CPU/GPU.
