  1. The "you didn't earn it" bleating is getting really old and tired. Terribly sorry you feel threatened in your elitism (see, I can paint with a broad brush and malign people, too). Many of us ALREADY HAVE several characters that did progress through the story. And I would remind you, again, that this (insta-60's) was a SELLING POINT of the expansion. I can't see why getting defining titles is so terrible as opposed to the auto-500 skill point professions. And if that isn't to be, it would have been nice to be TOLD this ahead of time. Not a deal-breaker, but a bit of an annoyance, especially when the characters refer to you by titles you do not have and as of this writing cannot go back and get.
  2. And if you didn't get maxed out Crew Skills, it would make more intellectual sense and be more consistent. But you (the new 60, I mean) do get that, so at that point, the class titles don't seem like a big deal. I think the whole "you spent no time or effort" is a bit uncalled for. A new 60 was an entire selling point of the expansion (never mind the tokens you can buy from the store). Again, this is not a deal-breaker for me, but given what you DO get? It's a bit jarring and odd given the choices otherwise with a new 60.
  3. I agree with and sympathize with this. I already completed the Class Story for all eight classes, made a new Consular, and while the title itself doesn't mean a lot to me, it was kind of funny to have someone in one of the cutscenes/dialogues call her Bar'senthor when she doesn't have the title available to her Wouldn't mind so much, but you CAN'T go back and get it, I especially feel for Sith who can't get the 'Darth' title. It's definitely not a deal-breaker, but when you get 500/500 for the crew skills, but no titles, seems a bit odd.
  4. I think they are only on Makeb now, at least, that's where I have been going the past couple weeks. Hope it helps.
  5. Thanks for the offer -- I am on a different server, but I very much appreciate it. Take care! (now just need the legs, getting closer)
  6. Asking because I picked up 24 crates (Shadow Adept, I believe, if I said it wrong here, I know I bought the ones that have a chance to have a piece of this armor) and not a single piece Bad luck, or was the rate changed at all? Thanks in advance (and to counter this, a positive, thanks for bringing the 12x boost back!)
  7. Make it a toggle switch -- so those that want it, have it, and those that don't, do not have to do it. I am loving it, even with PC issues at the moment, it is letting me make alts and see the beautiful storylines for classes I hadn't already maxed out.
  8. I whole-heartedly agree with this. I've come back after a sabbatical from the game, and snapped up the expansion just for the xp boost to the story. I'll level a few classes I never finished solely because of this opportunity. I've got several to max (50 when I left, came back recently to get a couple to 55) so this would be a great idea for those who have multiple characters. Maybe make it a toggle option, for those who DO want to not outlevel the side quests?
  9. I'm light side with only 100 DarkSide points (from hooking up with the Twi'Lek on Tython), and he says the same thing to me. Hope that helps!
  10. I don't think it's that simple, not when you factor in the Clone Wars series. These Jedi have worked alongside their troops for, in some cases, YEARS. I can see getting blindsided by the Order 66 event, even if just for a few seconds. Now, should they have been suspicious of the incredibly convenient clone army at the start? Absolutely, but by the time the betrayal comes, I could see all but the most pessimistic and suspicious Jedi being caught at least a little unaware. Then again, IITS -- It's In The Script. The Jedi were caught flatfooted and slaughtered because they had to be in setting the stage for "A New Hope." Want to really get depressed? Aside from Anakin, Windu, and the other members of the Council that went to arrest Palpatine (since they directly opposed him, or in Anakin's case at least was there for the event), all those Jedi killed by their troops were still loyal to the Republic and likely died never knowing why they were being killed. It's sad to see, but you're right, there were so many precautions that could have been taken. Hell, I often wonder why the Republic didn't just let the Separatists LEAVE. Better to see worlds leave the Republic at the stroke of a pen in some kind of treaty recognizing them as their own soverign entity than through years of bloody civil war. Take it and run,
  11. No, because that one works. You perform an action. You either succeed, or you do not. Granted, there are degrees of success and failure, but at the end of the day, the statement works. You sit down to eat a whole apple (less the core, we'll say). Option one. You eat the entire apple. Success. Option two. You eat none or only part of the apple. Failure, since your goal was to eat the apple. It's hokey, but accurate. Take it and run,
  12. You know, there's just no way I can parse that so that it makes any sense considering it's Kenobi saying it to a rapidly descending into darkness Anakin. Is this a clever wink and a nod to the audience, that the Jedi Code for all its good intent is hypocritical and the Order deserves to fall? That even Obi-Wan can't see that? Is it just bad writing? Something that sounded cool unless you examined it? Or am I seriously just giving a throwaway line too much attention? I'd love to hear what everyone thinks of the line, as long as it doesn't descend into simple prequel-bashing. Take it and run
  13. I want to apologize first and foremost for what I am about to post. It might sound like I am attacking you, but it's more the viewpoint, as I've seen it a lot in other places. For the vast, vast, vast majority of people. Star Wars IS the films. While there are a lot of people who buy the toys, the books, the comics, and games, the lion's share of people who you bring up Star Wars with will be familiar with the movies first and foremost. I do understand your comment, novels can flesh things out that a movie cannot, but again, ask someone about Darth Vader. Chances are, they know who you mean. Now ask them about Darth Talon, or Darth Malgus, or Grand Admiral Thrawn. You likely won't get nearly the same kind of response. I think it *is* fair to judge purely off the movies, because that's where the vast majority of fans get their information. As an example outside Star Wars, there were interviews given after Season 6 of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' aired, revealing something that, to many viewers of the show, seemed to run contrary to what they had seen. While the information was well and good, it really should have been in the actual show, and not something referred to after the fact outside the medium. That's kind of how I feel about even the movie novelizations. If I'm discussing one of the films with someone, I really should be talking about the films, not a throwaway scene from a kid's book (why yes, I AM bitter that Fett supposedly wasn't killed by the sarlaac, even though that was definitely the intent in the RotJ movie). Again, I'm not attacking you, I just don't care for the argument because I think it defeats the purpose of the films. The background material is great, but as already demonstrated with Lucas, he's happy to overwrite anything written with what's in the films. Take it and run,
