  1. Thanks for discussing this with me guys. The general sentiment I'm getting from this thread is that there should be a minimum iRating, however there is some debate over what that should be. This would probably mean in order to satisfy the playerbase each flashpoint would need it's own iRating tailored to it, which could easily be done based on how old the FP is. I would start a poll if I could.
  2. I agree with you that 334 iRating is probably too high, but not for every master mode flashpoint. The problem we have had for years that still hasn't been addressed, is that the flashpoint content hasn't scaled well to the latest gear, particularly older flashpoints. For example, Hammer Station MM could just about be done in 324, but Traitor Among The Chiss? I've tried it many times and it's miserable with a sub iRating 328-330 every time. I went with the higher iRating of 334 because it encompasses both new and old flashpoint content. Also as others have said, the iRating reflects certain aspects of the players knowledge. It may be possible to have a minimum iRating tailored to each flashpoint but it might be more effort to implement.
  3. I do agree with both of your points that it is mostly combat skill, however I have to disagree with it not helping much having better gear. I've had many instances where a DPS with iRating below 330 has been killed from full health by a mob in the space of 2-3 seconds. From a healing perspective this is incredibly noticeable and puts undue strain on healers. A minimum gear rating would at least provide enough defence to let the DPS handle incoming damage so the healer can respond, and so the DPS can be alive long enough to learn how to do the flashpoint. Let's not forget, iRating isn't just a representation of a players damage output, but also their ability to survive damage that they should be surviving.
  4. Hello, Currently, the group finder system for master flashpoints is a miserable experience. You are put with people who are below 330 iRating which makes master flashpoints incredibly difficult, and sometimes downright impossible. I'm posting this from a healing and tanking perspective. I think it is necessary to implement a minimum iRating before you can queue for master flashpoints. In my opinion, the minimum iRating should be 334.
  5. Let's be honest bros, this entire change is just so bounty hunters can use the Amban rifle and roleplay as the mandolorian. The weapon system in Guild Wars 2 is super neat and I wish the SWTOR team would look at that game for inspiration. The idea over there is that classes have a foundation set of abilities, and the vast array of weapons each class can use builds upon that foundation. The more you use a particular weapon the more proficient you become with it and unlock more of the weapons abilities. The system coming in this expansion seems to be a gimped version of it, which is a shame.
  6. I am looking for an RP guild as well
  7. It would be a forced skip, and you can only go into a skip conversation FP if you have done it x number of times.
  8. This is a well thought out post that I hope reaches the devs
  9. True, but what do you think about the skip conversations part? Like lets say 4 people queue up for an FP and tick the "skip conversations" box then you go in, and whenever theres a conversation it automatically skips so you are esentially just clicking the NPC to progress.
  10. For operations, you can pug people who know mechanics. For flashpoints, group up with people who already know story and don't need npc conversations, or don't know story and you want to RP with
  11. It's an archaic MMORPG concept and is currently a massive credit sink in 236+ gear..
  12. Stop buying crates, it's a scam now.
  13. There's actually a debuff that prevents the first seed carrier taking the second
