  1. -It says 6/6 for veteran and 7/7 for master.

-Comparing it to another char (copy) to the char missing flashpoints (created on PTS) the two missing flashpoints are Crisis On Umbara and Objective Meridian

-Char was created on PTS, is level 80 and has completed Failsafe.

-Copied char hasn't completed Fallen Empire and is level 80.

-I do not get credit for weekly veteran flashpoint with all 6 selected.

  2. I understand why you are guys are doing this, since most of this content is not played anymore. Doing selective weeklies works in some areas were season players no longer have a reason to do them (Black Hole) which limits the chance new players can complete these weeklies.

With that being said, some of the content is just horrible designed to begin with. The top two weekly areas I refuse to do is Rishi and Makeb. Takes way too long to get the same rewards I could get for completing Oricon (in current system). Only offering rewards for those areas isn't going to make me want to play those areas. I don't have fun doing those dallies, therefore I am not going to do them. I play this game to have fun. I know it's a crazy idea, but it's true.

This is also true for flashpoint whether it is a veteran mode or master mode flashpoints. If I don't find it fun, I am not going to do it. With the way the current system is where I have to have all the flashpoint selected to advance the weekly, there is zero reason for me do flashpoint anymore to gear my characters. Out of all the flash points for this week only two I enjoy running. Which means I am going to be dropping flash point all the time.

Suggestion: Instead of forcing us to play content, ask what you guys can do to make it more enjoyable.

  3. On the lower left-hand side of the screen there is about size of 1/4 of the screen is black triangle.

-it only appears when logged into any char.

-does not affect UI or mouse curser.

-changing char or plants doesn't affect it.

-changing graphic settings does not affected it.

-triangle disappears when mounted but reappears when dismounted.

  4. They are not outright restricting the weeklies. All weeklies will still be available to complete at any point, they are just making some of them give better rewards (ostensibly upgrade-based, although we don't have full details on this - likely only these missions will drop the Aquatic Resource Matrices) each week.

From the post of "Changes and New Features in 7.0": "You can still access Missions that aren’t a part of the rotation if you choose, they will just have reduced rewards". If you want to go run Oricon even if Ziost and Yavin are the highlighted weeklies, you can, and still get CQP for doing so.

Are you sure you still get CQP for completing them? They are talking about cutting rewards for completing them. One of the rewards is CQP. They may be reducing or removing the CQP for the not highlight ones to further force players to play the way they want us to.

  5. Hey folks,

I wanted to share some of the new features and changes coming in 7.0 that we haven’t talked about yet. There is a lot to share and the team is really excited to share them with you, some of these we have been eager to talk about for quite some time! Read on :).

    Daily and Weekly Mission Reset

First, we’re making some changes to how Daily and Weekly Missions reset. Currently, uncompleted Daily and Weekly Missions sit in that character’s logs until the Mission is completed. Once the Mission is completed, that character can no longer pick up the Weekly again for that week (or daily for that day).

In 7.0, uncompleted Daily and Weekly Missions will be removed from players once the Daily or Weekly reset time passes (currently Tuesday, 12:00am UTC). The primary reason for this change is that we are restructuring the way we present content each week. Weekly Missions will rotate in availability each week in 7.0, and we want to ensure that all players are on the same Weekly Missions each week in order keep those Mission areas feeling dynamic and filled with other people to group or share Mission credit with. This should result in content like Heroic Missions being completed more quickly and efficiently. You can still access Missions that aren’t a part of the rotation if you choose, they will just have reduced rewards.

Alongside this change we will also introduce a number of quality of life improvements, including auto-completing Missions where we are able to when characters are on the turn-in step.

I can't wait to be forced to do horrible designed daily areas for weekly quests... There is the reason some weekiles aren't being done. There are horribly designed and not fun like Makeb and Rishi.

    Economy Adjustments

We have been studying and measuring economic indicators around the game’s economy, specifically in regards to Credit inflation. What this means is that more Credits are being created in the economy than are being spent, which drives the GTN prices upwards over time on all items. One of the steps we’re taking to address this is the reduction of credits awarded by completing Conquests.

We’re also planning on removing Solid Resource Matrix items from Conquest rewards and instead putting them on Jawa vendors available for purchase with Jawa Junk.

This will help address Credit creation issues in the economy. We will be sharing more details on these changes in a follow up post in the near future.

    -eric

This is the most brilliant idea you guys have come up with. If you are trying to sell CM items. Not if you trying to fix the broken economy. All this does is force people that aren't billionaires to buy CM items because they won't be able to make credits to buy them from GTN. How about adding some credit sinks? Changing the appearance of your character for credits instead of CC? Leave species swapping as CC. Your EA master won't let you fix the economy only find new ways to push the CM.

    Weapons in Outfitter

Finally, we’re excited to share details with you around one of the most requested features of the past several years: Weapons in Outfitter!

Beginning in 7.0, you’ll now be able to use Weapons in a similar way to Armor in our existing Outfitter system. This means you can have one weapon equipped which will determine the stats applied to your character, and stamp the appearance of another weapon of the same type via Outfitter.

Weapons have several properties that are unique to them as compared to Armor. They can have unique audio, Color Crystals, and Weapon Tunings. The weapon assigned to the Outfitter slot, or slots for dual-wielding combat styles, will determine which of these customization options are seen and heard in the game. If a weapon is not assigned to an Outfitter slot, the game will use the options from the currently equipped weapon instead.

The team has been working very hard to make these features a reality, and we’re eager to get them into your hands! You will be able to check some of this out on PTS in the next patch, keep an eye on the PTS forums for more details.

    -eric

Are there going to be multi-weapon slots for each outfit or are we going to have to stamp the same armor with different weapon variations? ei If I have X Armor set stamped in Outfit design one and swap from using dual pistol spec to sniper rifle spec what will happen with my weapon design if I have dual pistol stamped in outfit design one?

  6. You're defending game-affecting grinds being paired with cash-outs, on top of a subscription.

"But the grind is easy!" doesn't get us around the structural problem being presented.

I never said the grind was easy. What I said was it was easy to complete GS. Nothing about GS is a grind. It's an easy way to earn rewards and rewards players missed. I sorry you free that logging into the game and playing it is a grind. To me I enjoy playing the game its why sub. So logging into play the game isn't a grind.

You are EA perfect customer. You are unhappy and keep paying them money for a product you are unhappy with.

  7. You guys are missing the forest for the trees.

Grinds paired with cash-outs are a form of paywall, and exist to incentivize cash transactions. You're focusing on the achievability of the grind instead of asking why subscribers are being subjected to a monetized mechanic at all.

It's a mistake that's fueling the decline of gaming.

I think it is more you see what you want to see regardless of the facts. It has been proven by math that it is easy to complete GS without trying if you just play the game. You even make 2000 cartel coins in doing so.

Reading your posts reminds of a video by College Humor. If "Google Was A Guy: Vaccines cause Autism."

You only accept things or people that support your belief despite all the facts against it. When ask to provide facts to support your opinion you just recite you opinion as if it is fact.

  8. I appreciate the sarcasm of your post, but your maths are off. The season runs for 22 weeks, and you forgot the four-day log in points.

    22 (8 + 3(2)(7) + 12(2)) = 1628 total available points, or enough to get to level 203.5.

It would take less than 11 weeks to get to rank 100. That means one could easily max one server whilst ignoring the rest, and then still have enough time to switch to another server and hit max level on that one, too.

I have two accounts. I have not done everything during the season, not done a single operation, flashpoint, or warzone, and not spent a single CC to advance through the season, and yet I am level:

    Star Forge

    • Main -- 98
    • Alt -- 92

    Satele Shan:

    • Main -- 93
    • Alt -- 90

    Darth Malgus:

    • Main -- 83
    • Alt -- 68

The OP is tilting at windmills.

I forget to add I took a week off due to any bugs that occurred since I just resub recently.

Did not know about the 4day log in points because I was not around on launch of the GS.

  9. Why can you guys see it. BW is nickel and diming us pass our subscription. Galactic Season force us to buy Cartel Coins. It’s so obvious, I don’t understand why you can’t see it like FlatTax!!!

There are 100 levels. It takes 800 points to get to level 100!!!!! 800 Points!!!!! That’s 8 points per level. You can earn 3 points per daily. With only 2 dailies!!! That is 6 Points a day!!! 12 Points for weekly. Again, there are only 2 weeklies. So maximum number of points per week of a player can earn is 66. So, reach level 100 in Galactic Season it will take 12.1 weeks. Since Galactic Season started on Apr 27, 2021 and ends on Sep 27, 2021. That only gives us 21 weeks to complete Galactic Season. How is anyone supposed to complete it without buying Cartel Coins?!?! To add insult to injury. You earn 2,000 Cartel Coins!!!. 200 Cartel Coins every 5 levels. After level 3 (skipping level 8 but earned on level 100)

So, putting in the bare minimum work without purchasing cartel coins and not using your security key or subscription ones. It takes 9.6 weeks out of 21 weeks to earn all rewards, this using the free cartel coins to reduce the amount of effort.

BW is greedy forcing us to buy cartel coins!!!!

    Notes:

*These numbers are based solely on be sub since that is what the thread is about.

**I'm being sarcastic. I know someone reading this will think I'm seriously siding with OP.

***Took a week off due to any bugs that occurred. (I just recently resub so unsure on if there were any bugs that prevent erranding points) **EDIT**

  10. Came here to say this, didn't need to :D Glad companion stats are gone, however I would LOVE outfit tabs for my companions. My friend is always laughing at me for my character outfit madness, however I cannot take my companions to Hoth without their cold weather outfit! That's just mean!

I make Quinn run around Hoth with no gear, waiting for him to die.

  11. I disagree.

I didn't buy the CE version of the game when it came out and don't deserve the reward (access to the CE vendor) that came with it. This is the same thing. I didn't buy the Razor items that qualified for that black-green crystal either. Once again, I don't qualify.

There are actually still quite a few people playing that preordered the game. One of the reasons you don't see the crystal often is because you can only get unlimited copies (for free) of the black-yellow fortitude (+4 endurance) crystal and have to buy the other ones individually from the vendor or pay to remove them to swap from one weapon to another.

Now, if they want to make a Yellow-Black crystal or a Striated Black-Yellow crystal, that's fine. But this isn't the suggestion forum.

It's why I don't use it. I can make unless copies of a crystal that is worthless to use. +4 endurance or +41 crit, power, master or endurance.

  12. Look. I know this item was a pre-order bonus. But its been a DECADE. Most, if not all, of the people who had this crystal dont play anymore, and I havent seen one in a few years now.

With how the Seasons thing is going, where we can buy/earn items we had previously missed out on for whatever reason (like being in a bad financial situation), how likely would it be that we see these crystals become a reward for the Seasons? This has been, possibly, the most requested thing I have seen over the years, and now we have the perfect mechanic to re-release it! Its been long enough, let the Crystal be enjoyed once again!

If you never had it, how could you enjoy it once again?

  13. Flashbacks to Chapter 3 Final Boss fight for Jedi Knight. Forced to use a companion that many players weren't continuing to use by that point then combine that with it being a droid who were always harder to gear for than the other comps.

The new gear for comps is giving them gifts ;)

I found the droids the easiest to gear. It's why I used the ship droid for everyone. I did invest heavily into cybertech because the ship droid is companion that everyone had and I didn't worry about stat and armor type.

  14. Simple then don't. Others should be able to. No one was ever forced to gear companions. I like to gear companions when it makes a difference.

Here is the problem, it mattered in the old system. You had to gear your companion because they were useless without gear. In current system you can gear your companion and the people that don't want to don't have too. Old system only benefited one group. Current system benefits both groups.

  15. You are making justifications for a company that could do almost any thing they wanted with this game...if they chose to do it. Make no mistake its all about the developer choices, there is no magical barrier keeping them from investing time and resources into the game its simply that they are siphoning enough money off the player base and not being held accountable to do better in this case by you.

You also established why you are ok with it...you don't play consistently and only one type of content. All you would have to do now is spend a few coin on the Cartel Market occasionally and you are literally the target audience of this games design...of course your happy with that.

Problem is that a lot of MMO players do not follow that scenario and when they go so does your game access. Overall game health is important and this game is Meh at best when viewed as a whole.

They could do anything they want with the game is very true. Unfortunately there are two huge factors that come into play. One: What the major of people want and are will pay for. Not everyone wants the same things. All the PvPers, PvEer or RPers don't want the same thing. The same group of players you interact with might but not the whole community. Two: It still takes time and resources to do anything. You seem to think that they have an endless supply of both. Or should people at EA/BW not get paid so you can be happy? If you believe that, give me your boss phone number. I will let them know your customers happiness is way more important than your pay check.

No point in continue this debate with you. Clearly you thing EA/BW owes you everything you want for your sub. They don't owe you thing other than access to THEIR game. If you don't like THEIR game cancel your sub and uninstall. At the end of the day it is THEIR game. Not yours, not mine. Unless you own stock in EA.

  16. I don't want SWTOR to be like WoW. I would much rather it be like KoToR... Especially since this is essentially the sequel to that game...

I want SWTOR to be better at something than those other MMO's (RPG Elements: Story/Character building) and they already have the formula to do it...they just won't. What they did instead was suck the soul out of the game, set it on a shelf and slam a price tag on it...

Bioware deserves massive criticism for how they have treated this game and people are so happy they even have a Star Wars game they settle for mediocre or terrible with a huge smile...it's sad and honestly its at the core of what's bringing down the quality of games across the industry.

Your points on your gear choices are fine with me...its subjective and I'm glad you are happy with very plain gear appearances.

I would think that if you really don't care about character appearances that you would play any of the other MMOs which have superior PvP/PvEcombat design and performance... Surely not a tab target game w/ no dodge mechanic...probably one of the lowest skill cap combat systems out there for PvP and PvE next to WoW (ironically) which is also terrible.

So you want SWTOR to be a single player game?

There isn't any MMO out there great at anything. Go to any game forums and see the same post. New expansion with changes. Death to the game. You don't listen to the player base. Why is X class so OP and Y class so weak. There not enough content. You need more OP. You need more PVP.

I play SWTOR for the story, no other MMO in my opinion has as great of a story as SWTOR. When I get bored with it, I cancel my sub and uninstall the game. Maybe in 6months or 5yrs I'll come back and see what is going on.

Being realistic there is no way for BW to produce enough story content to make everyone happy. Just the pure amount of man hours involved in creating story content vs what every player wants. Personally I want more tough choice like Trooper story asteroid prison colony A-77 with Jaxo. What I don't want to is to be Austin Powers in SW. Some people what to be Austin Powers in SWTOR and want more of that type of content. I don't ,which was my because complaint about KotFE. Anytime I talked to anyone it was do you want to shag now or shag later.

  17. Even here, core mechanics are monetized. Our CM cosmetics are not cosmetic-only; they're also mules for money laundering.

It goes like this: you go to the CM and buy a 'cosmetic' mule for cash, march it over to the GTN where you convert it to credits, and use credits to buy your end-game Augments.

Cash, by design, is leaking into all our core mechanics. As subscribers, for $155.88 year over year, we deserve better.

Which you don't have to do to advance your character. You could go over to the mission terminal pick up a mission. Click the quick travel to that area (its free) complete the mission which in most cases gives you the reward without having to travel any place else. There you go credits to buy whatever you want. You can even buy pretty power from those people that are selling cosmetic items on the GTN.

Any mechanic that offers a pay-not-to-wait transaction is a monetized game mechanic. It doesn't get any clearer.

What pay not to wait is only available from the CM? Everything can be bought in game for in game currency or given to you for completing quest?

Again you don't have to pay anything more than your sub to advance your character.

The GREAT part about allowing CM items to sold on GTN is that it allows those that don't have same disposable income as other people people to get all the pretty power they want.

  18. You're playing an RPG tough guy.

Why because I think it doesn't matter how my character looks. The 8 characters I am currently playing all look like they did when I created them as a level 1. That gray basic gear.

If a game wants to sit there and sell cosmetics items to keep the game up and running. Doesn't bother me. The market is flood with MMO. All of them are trying to be the next WoW. It will never happen again. There are too many MMO out there and all offering different things. No one game is going to offer everyone what they want. They will never have the massive sub base that WoW once did.
