  1. I really do get where your coming from. As a rule I do look very carefully and have avoided this trap time and time again. Unfortunately human beings aren't infallible, and eventually human nature is going to assure that even the most cautious slip up. when assistance can be provided with little effort why not try and do it. What I am suggesting is trivial. Or for matter even make it so that you can set the default on the search parameters so that it doesn't go back to the crazy default ones every time you go to the GTN. Then the comments of those who suggested using it might have some real meaning.
  2. That is a good idea! Appreciate the constructive input!
  3. Wow! The trolls are out in full force. That's ok, I love you trolls anyways. That said using the price limit is a good idea, but I still think there are better solutions given that search criteria resets to defaults every time you use the GTN, or does someone have a good solution for altering the default?

  5. As I stated, one should not have to be constantly on guard every time the go to the GTN. The suggestion I offer, allows for people to continue selling at ridiculous prices but provides a safeguard against accidently making purchases at those prices. I don't see why anyone would have anything against it except for a scammer.
  6. I have a simple solution to the GTN scamming problem Bioware. Allow users to set purchase thresholds. If the user wants to buy something in excess of their threshold, they are given a prompt asking if they really want to do this and type yes if they really do. So for example I set a threshold at 100K, and wish to buy the Mask of Revan for 8 million credits. The prompt comes up, "This purchase exceeds your spending threshold, do you wish to proceed?". I type yes in the provided text box and the purchase goes through. If on the other hand, the midlithe crystal I am trying to purchase for 6K actually turns out to be 6 million (as happened to me today) I have a chance to realize my mistake. I can't tell you how frustrating this is. And yes trolls, I know it's my own fault for not being careful enough, but it is none the less extremely frustrating and far too easy to do unless one is careful never to let their guard down. I would counter that the GTN should not have to be that stressful. I am sure you have lost players/subscribers to this problem, having briefly considered moving on to another game myself after experiencing the frustration of watching a month worth of savings destroyed in a minute to a scammer. My problem aside, the solution I am suggesting would be very helpful, would require little effort to implement, and help Bioware maintain subscribers. I hope you will give it careful consideration.
  7. Unfortunately what is happening with the server ques does not support the statement that everything is being done to keep things reasonable. I don't want to beat a dead horse but you need to take a serious look at this issue and take measures to remediate it or your business (as it relates to this game) though off to an amazing start is going to suffer. I think I speak for most of us in saying that we love the game but find the que management to be extremely frustrating.
