  1. All we've got is Humans, humans with metal stuck to their faces, extreme skin tone humans, and some humans with thinks coming out of their heads. Its Star Wars! We need a much bigger variety of races. I dont know if anyone was really clamoring for the Ratatakki or Mirialan over, say, Wookies or Mon Calamari. It just seems like it was an easy way to keep the same basic human models and use them over and over, due to time or clipping issues. But as we've seen tons of races in the game, some of them as great companions, that doesnt seem to be the case. So what we need is more races to play. Star Wars races. The movies had lots of kinds of great aliens, and the EU added tons more to that. I'm not saying we need 60 playable races, but definetly some of the more iconic ones, if only for varieties sake. Plus imagine some of the great stories that could be based on them as well. This could even be something like a race/class combo, whereas the race is limited to a specific class, thus tying the two together in a very good and specific, tailor made story. Wookie who escapes from slavery. Droid trying to make its way in the galaxy. I dunno, stuff. Maybe have Legacy tie into unlocking these as a nice incentive to keep playing past end levels.
  2. Since we're not limited with sending companions back to base when our inventories are too full, it'd make sense to do this too. Especially since repair work is even neccessary when you dont die and are just in multiple skirmishes. Its a bummer to have to run/taxi/ or 'port back to a base camp to get some repair work done when you're in the middle of nowhere.
  3. I think this would be a nice option to have, especially for the RPers among us. A fresh faced scrub adding some scars at level 17, or changing a hairstyle every now and then. Having the option to even just make a couple minor superficial changes would be great. We get tired of looking at ourselves the same way, hence the invention of hair coloring
  4. I think this is a great idea! Keep distance guys distant and melee up close, but giving someone who wields a pistol (smuggler) the option of using a rifle or even a vibroblade would color the uniqueness of each player. At assigned levels after Legacy starts, give the character a chance to train a new weapon (doesnt have to be super comparable to what they already do, this is more fleshing out then a whole new weapon line), and every couple levels they have a chance to learn a decent skill for this seperate item. Its hopefully not widespread enough to break or invalidate their main weapon, but adds a little fun and personalization. Maybe even have short only Legacy type missions to experience it too. Jedi Knight learning to use a double bladed saber from an old master, or even a shotgun skill from a old timey smuggler in a cantina somewhere.
  5. I think tying more races to Legacy would be pretty cool. It'd be a great reward and keep me playing longer (okay, not fooling anyone, this game owns me). City of Heroes did it well with the addition of an alien race and new class when players hit the level cap at the time. Gave people a reason to roll up a new char and keep chugging. I was a little bummed out when i saw that all the available races are humans, humans with different skintone, or very very slightly modified humans (true sith, zabrak, twi'lek). Come one, bring on the ALIENS! I want some Mon Cal, Cathar, Rodians, ANYTHING! Its Star Wars! We see these guys all the time in the game, so they have the models for them. Trandoshan companion? Means they figured out how to make armor show on them too! I dont mind if they're limited by class, but we really need a larger variety in our playable races. SW Galaxies pulled it off beautifully, and SWTOR has them beat six ways to sunday. C'mon, Bioware, i need me a fishman smuggler!
  6. I agree with Sonnya wholeheartedly. My smuggler has looked like a Coast Guard worker, Hipster, and now Jedi with what i've been limited to with Orange/slottable gear. I'm not sure if there arent that many visual templates, but it'd be great if we could take items/armor/mods or simply credits to someone and have them craft the appearance of it. I know theres also matching armor bonuses, but usually you've got higher level stat items that either mean taking a dive in stats to keep a visual continuity, or looking like you've been looting corpses for boots. DCUO did a pretty cool version of 'switching armor but keeping the visuals', i think it'd be great if SWTOR did the same thing to keep people more individualized. After all, unlike most MMO's the story is written for the individual, why not have the look go that way too.
