  1. So in your opinion, when it comes to placing augments into gear, you say AIM is our strongest stat. I get that it offers a little bit of everything across the board, but if you are looking to fill in those augment slots. Sitting in some Rakata (rest Columi) Combat Medic gear, would it be better to throw in +28 AIM or +28 power/alacrity.
  2. Only things I agree with, is that Kolto Missle should heal all those in the blast area. and second, Kolto Barrier needs to add either a defensive bonus on top of the healing, or increase the healing done to the target with the Kolto Barrier on them. I get that it is a free (no cast cost) ability. But if the charges can only go off every 3 seconds and only 10 charges, in a fight where a boss can actually be taunted, that shield can die off rather quickly. Its "ok" at its best becuase it also heals for less than the Healing Scan HoT. Other than those 2 abilities, i have no issues. And I dont PvP so i have nothing to comment on that.
  3. Im a Merc Healer, and my 8 and 16 mans won't go without me. We have cleared EV and Karaggas on Normals and all but the final bosses on the HM. Your server may be over populated with Merc Healers, but i doubt that is the case, considering i've only seen 1 other on my server. People think that "Oh AoE heal that heals everyone, even if it is for complete crap health, its better than any other class' healing" Sorc tell me that the shield they have, is a joke. While it can help in a pinch, so can my instant cast heal, and its on a shorter CD. People say "Oh, well a sorc can battle rez" Thats great, but you can only use 1 battle rez per fight. 1 of your 8 people are bound to have it, having 2 people with it is pointless. "But wait, a Sorc has 600 force, where as a BH only has 100 heat to deal with" Its all the same, consumption % vs healing done are equal in both cases. There are things the Merc brings to the table that no other class does, and it DOES make a difference. another way I can put it... is that in any boss fight, I can top my team off and DPS for a while, where as the Sorc cant. Healers and tanks are always needed. But play what you will enjoy.
  4. I disagree with this a little. While Alacrity should in not way be the primary secondary stat, it is worth having enough of it for Trooper/BH healing. As a BH, raiding and needing to use "Supercharged Gas" every time it is up and spamming Healing Scan and Rapid scan continuously for 15 seconds can top every single member of your 8-man up and you are barely at 50% heat/ammo consumption. You use 'Rapid shots' a few times on the tank and continue your ability order making sure to use your free cost abilities when available. In boss fights "Supercharged Gas" is up a LOT more than you would think and even if its a slow time for heals because of whatever reason, it will still vent you 16 heat and drop you down into the next bracket for heat dissipation. I can't remember the last time I used "Vent Heat". Im not saying that having it increase regeneration isn't needed, it would actually be nice, but I continuously read how people are having heat/energy/ammo issues while healing...and I dont have them, so all I can say is 1)get better at your class healing 2)get a new tank 3)tell your DPS to stopping facerolling and manage their aggro. (friend of mine is a cocky Sorcerer "ZOMG i crit for 7k on muh chain lightning" every time he just starts spamming it and pulls aggro, i stop healing him because he was an idiot. Ill keep the other 3 of us alive and make the fight take longer than to blow every cooldown to try and save your dumb-*** and continue to wipe anyway becuase my rotation was blown.)
  5. From my experience Power is a joke. It has a garbage ratio for HPS. 5.8 power=1 extra point of healing? I have 433 power. That gives me an abysmal +74 health on heals. While "Oh thats better than nothing" I did start off being straight power/alacrity. And I Didnt have a problem with that except i was constantly healing. But i started moving into the columi gear, and spent a crap load of money to get earpieces and implants with Augment slots, not to mention ripped out every mod that would best replace another. My stats are roughly 38%crit, 17%(+5% on proc) Alacrity, 71% surge. With this set up, i can top people off, refresh any shields/barriers, and dps for a while before going back into healing. My plans are to reduce crit to 35%, alacrity to 10%(not including 5% proc) and 80% surge, and then putting everything into power. So in a sense, power is the last thing you need to worry about. I 100% disagree that it is "over-powered" especially in terms of healing. Fix the ratios to match the amount of +dmg gained through power (their 4.35/1 ratio) I don't care that the "math" is there. It just doesn't feel like how it reads.
  6. I did the entire class quest story line solo. Even "Number One with a Bullet" Did I die once? Sure. But I still did it as a DPS Merc and Blizz as my companion. You should be able to bring in help as well. Best Of Luck- -The rest of the BH who solo'd it too.
  7. Ummm, im a BH Healer for my 8-mans. and With me and a Sorc, we have had no problems completing EV and Karaggas on Hard Mode. Its sad that you think, the amount you can heal is greater than everything else the BH Healing class has to even offer. Like, a HoT on your targets with Rapid Scan? a 10% dmg reduction shield for 6 people with Kolto Missle. Kolto Barrier, which can heal a target while you are healing others. Not to mention you can heal others while running. Every Rapid shot hits for 850-1050hp per use if you are geared enough. A Merc has much better healing while running, and with an ability like Supercharged Gas, you and your other healer can top off your entire 8 man by the time it is over. My 8-man would rather wait a day for me to be able to participate then to go with out me.
  8. I recently hit 400 with arms tech, and have researched the (purple) advanced gun barrel 22. Seeing as how #23 is a pat drop (from where, if anyone knows) What else can I do, that is recommended to beef up my craft list. And am i able to produce "superior" "mastercraft" gun barrels? Or only weapons. Thank you.
  9. I spent my evening last night doing the two Ops Flashpoints. The Eternity Vault and Hutt Hospitality. During these Operative, our group witnessed a series of continual bugs that ended up making the fights either very difficult and needing to re-do, or just impossible. In the Eternity Vault, on the fight against "Soa": 1)If the team was destroyed while you were in the Mind Trap Phase, you are stuck in the Mind Trap "room" 2) When Soa targets a player for the 'cyclone' ability in stage 4, where you need to lower his shield via the use of a generating lightning shock, the player in the cyclone was always killed. 3) If the tank is targeted for the Mind Trap, the boss will reset and cause you to have to exit and re-enter the Ops. 4) A Mind Trap tomb was already on the ground at the end of the second "Phase 2", the tomb was destroyed before Soa came down to our level to continue the fight. That tomb...belonged to me. I had the animation of being sucked into the tomb, but was then outside the tomb, boss wasn't visible, teammates were not visible. I could move, but after .25 seconds i would reset back to my original spot, I couldn't even turn. I could cast abilities, but it wouldn't hit anything and all teammates were "out of range" so i couldn't even heal them invisibly. I was not visible by any of my team mates either. I typed /stuck thinking that this could solve the issue, but it just ended up killing me. We attempted to fight this boss, atleast 10 times, and in those 10 attempts, there was only 2 times where we actually died, or lost because of not paying attention or fail heals and what not. All the other times was because of bugs that caused the interaction with this boss to be damn near impossible to kill. Over in the Hutt Hospitality FP, Bonecrusher fight: 1) There were always multiple people dying before anyone even had a chance to move. 2) The same people would continuously die, if the same one person was always the first one in the room. 3) When the elite adds spawn, if you use any sort of ability that would knock them off the platform before they start attacking a target, Bonetrasher (main boss), will reset, but his rage timer wont. 4) May be a Bounty Hunter-healer glitch only (that's what i play, and there was one other BH-Powertech) But when Bonethrasher is targeting and chasing me and then pounds the ground (i have the tendency to think that jumping could avoid the dmg and knockback) , i get stuck in a 'levitating' position. From that point on, i am only able to use abilitites with an instant case time, and Death-From-Above. No other ability will work, as i received the error "Can not do that while moving" even though i was standing still. To other players, they said i looked normal. Nothing i was able to reset this effect...well, death could. Also, in general, the beginning to the Bonethrasher fight is bad. I can understand that the whole thing is a "trap" but the entire group is already hit by his sweep attack and more than half the raid is already at half health or below before we really have time to get organized. Aside from that, the Ops content is fun and different from other "raiding" i have experienced in other games.
  10. Oh ofcourse thats a lie. Any other profession can atleast vendor their finds or even AH stacks of your finds. There is your money, you just don't see it right away. This is such an invalid point its ridiculous. I spent the good part of the day myself tracking my companions and what they found based off what i paid. There is more to Slicing than the lockboxes. While i made a net loss on the lockboxes themselves, and not much, only a few hundred credits, over the span of 7 hours of sending people in and out. I was, however able to make atleast 3k per "Mission Discovery" I found, not to mention the number of Cybertech pats i came across and sold for 1k+ ea. On top of that, all the world nodes for Slicing are a complete 100% profit in your pants. Overall, at the end of the day, you can make a lot more money with your finds and no extra companion skill time to make a profit. still pull in 200k a day or more with quests
