  1. I don't need to convince you for anything. I expressed my opinions either accept it or not, I don't really care. You are making so much assumptions, saying people "You think like this, you think like that" and answering them. So you didn't even understand anyone's point here. First of all you don't have to rage over everyone's post who doesn't accept your suggestion. You should accept the fact that there may be opposition when you suggest something. Secondly, there are not only veteran players around as subscribers who are levelling alts. There are players trying to level their first character, explore the galaxy, do planetary side quests, low level flash points and they can't find any groups for anything in low level. Do you really think they are enjoying the game with a boost that prevents them seeing every low level content because of dictating them to play only story missions to proceed? You are being selfish with your suggestion. But this is a community here. You should think about everyone before suggesting something. Only then it may be considered as a useful suggestion. There are people who want to taste low level content too. So planets should be done in order to level instead of fast forwarding with story missions so that they can find some groups at least. I didn't say they could find those groups before 12x XP before easily but the boost killed the whole possibility. About you, I didn't say your presence hurt the game but you think way highly of yourself like you are the only subscriber here and with your absence SWTOR will die. Rofl It was here before 12x XP and your subscription and it will be here after it and you. So stop being dramatic. You are making a suggestion and support it with a threat that you will leave if they will not do it Go, leave, who cares about ragequitters who are having tantrums when something is not done according to them? We already know you will leave the game after your stories end so it won't make any difference at all. And this is exactly why BioWare should do nothing in long term for gaining artificial temporary subscribers like you who comes for a period not to play the game for a long time even after class stories. They need to do things for gaining loyal players who really like to taste the game even without a boost. Now you can rage over what I have written here all you want. This is all I want to say. Bye
  2. I second this. Let's be honest. After all this is a product for the companies and investors which are involved. They have so little emotional attachment to this unlike us. If it fails to a degree where they won't find it profitable, they close the doors on it. As we know this game was the most expensive video game ever made when it was launched. Got the title of fastest-growing MMO ever. And then lost a fair deal of subscriptions and had to adopt a free to play model to survive. You can imagine this game's graphic is full of rises and falls. Making a dramatic change will require investment on it. Who would pay for those extra expenses? You as a player? Whole community? I don't think so. If an investor see those rises and falls in their graphic, I don't think they would be so keen on the idea either. Because it really is a risk for them. Actually you must give them solid reasons to invest more instead of just saying "Hey this is a great game, let's make it greater". So it is not only about possibilty of doing it or not. After all only thing matters in this world is money, unfortunately.
  3. I don't accept some players' forum posts with some ridiculous comparisons of class stories as an official differentiation or rating amongst classes. I stand behind what I wrote. Nonsense is trying to compare three entirely different stories with each other, rating them and judging them according to no criteria beyond your personal taste at all. So if general consensus is based on subjectivity in this matter, I simply choose to ignore it instead of seeing it as a reliable source of information In my opinion any information which is intended to be useful to a fellow player (which is OP in this case) should be objective. So that he won't have to be confused between other's tastes and his own taste. If he asks about three classes you should give their cons and pros instead of saying "This is the most epic one and everyone thinks like me" Because maybe he won't find it that way... By the way my question stays same and unanswered, DocDam. A simple question: Would you please enlighten us by comparing epicness, heroism etc of Han Solo's (Smuggler) saving Luke Skywalker's (Jedi knight) life during Darth Vader's tie-fighter attack with Luke Skywalker's destroying Death Star, on a logical base without being nonsense or subjective, with all criterias you may find? Which one is more epic in your opinion and why? So we can see your reasoning behind your comparison and some clues about how you could find jedi knight's story in this game as the most epic, heroic, iconic, smuggler's as medium and consular's as the least without you being have to give spoilers.
  4. Well, I couldn't disagree more. There are nothing such as ratings for class stories. Because it would be comparing entirely different things and it would be ridiculous. Also I don't think a jedi consular's story can be underrated since a consular can hold one of the most important titles a jedi can have in whole Star Wars history. (I won't give it here since it would be a spoiler, search for it in Google) All stories are great. They shouldn't be compared with each other. Can you compare epicness of Han Solo's (Smuggler) saving Luke Skywalker's (Jedi knight) life from Darth Vader's attack with Luke Skywalker's destroying Death Star? OP you should taste them all because you will find them all enjoyable.
  5. My impressions about 12x XP is not good so far. All boosts are ways of dictating players what to play for most and they kill other sides of the games. Actually it didn't make the game enjoyable for me. Yeah I level up faster than before but I almost forgot how the levelling process was the most enjoyable part of this game. Look how people say they ONLY resubscribed this game because of 12x EXP. So they will level up all chars, see all stories and leave the game and subscriptions again until the next boost for next content. So this is only an artificial way of increasing subscriptions and it will drop when they are done with those stories. I think it was a big mistake for gamewise. It was implemented without thinking how would it effect the game as a MMO. It actually killed MMO levelling, made this more like a single player game levelling. It killed all planetary content except story missions and low level flashpoints too. People are no longer enjoying planets anymore. They come, do story missions and go. I have been seeing people who are complaining about not finding any players to group up and do heroics or low level flash points etc. Because they are no longer needed in any way. Remember not all of the people who are levelling in the game are old players with mains. They may want to see all content without skyrocketing to the higher levels. Making this mistake permanent will only make levelling enjoyable for old players who wish to see highest possible levels in lowest possible time, not for newbies. So this is only good for one side. About making it cartel coin boost, I strongly disagree. If you are only enjoying this game with a boost then there is a problem in this. So, Sorry but I don't support even 12x EXP let alone making it permanent ....
  6. I don't really have an answer for you OP. I don't know what you want to hear from us but we know little about your playing style. We know you want to do both pve and pvp. (I don't even know if your play time is short how can you do both). But we don't know if you like to play tank, dps (ranged or melee) or healer (With hots or direct heals) as a role in your groups. How are we supposed to compare 3 of those classes to you? I mean it is like having an apple, an orange and a peach and say "Compare these" So everyone whose main is sage, guardian and/or gunslinger will say good things about these three and you will be confused anyways. I'd say open one of them or all three of them and try yourself. If you don't like one, reroll to the other.
  7. Yeah, a progression team has a bad overall dps and a bad leader if it relies on healers to do dps too. Your comments may only be appliable for farming teams which have already finished operation contents, not for progressing teams. There is no sitting and waiting idly in no operations for healers. Almost always someone gets damage. Even if not I wouldn't suggest healers to contribute dps at all to save their resources for damage spikes. But obviously you want to see your dpsers sit and wait idly while pushing healers. Typical. Do little thing and blame healers and tanks after all.
  8. There is no such thing as "If he is melee then he uses strength only" in this game. A Vanguard Trooper and Powertech Bounty Hunter use aim too, they are in melee range too. So no changes are necessary if you don't want a substantial change in stats at the moment.

    Swimming?

< Signed I don't think it is about engine they use at all. They can do all kind of animations, swirling kicks, hand stands etc they can't do a swimming animation? Of course nope, they can do.
  10. I don't think healers should do anything other than their job. They don't need to contribute to dps. Fights are already hard on them while purely doing their job. If your group's overall dps is low enough to rely on even healers then you should definetely check your group's DPS efficiency, change or improve your dpsers instead of pushing healers more.
  11. I can understand altoholic mind I like to play with alts too, taste everything from all unique races, classes, disciplines, crewskills but 22 characters should be enough for any purpose. But over 22? Sorry but I don't see any point having that much characters. You can obtain anything with chars you have. So I don't agree with him or you. But hey it's me, feel free to suggest it of course
  12. Unlocks stay if they are not timed ones.
  13. You can play as a pure healer of course. You can even do your quests as a healer with help of your companions. Healers are always needed like in all other MMO's. So feel free to play as one. If you have any questions about your class, you can first read appropriate class guides in Dulfy.net I am sure they will clear everything for you classwise. You can look at Healer Empire and Healer Republic sections on the upper 3.0 Class Guides menu in that website. Hope this helps for starters.
  14. < Signed. Although I don't play as RP'er I would like to see an updated lore too.
  15. < Signed and supported for all who have problem with it

    Keep 12x XP

I think this is the useful suggestion here to end all war between veterans and beginners. Yes, if you have levelled some chars before 12xXP you may find doing all planetary side quests boring for your next alt. Maybe you want to level fast to reach end game quickly and 12xXP is an opportunity for you. And yes, if you are a new player, you may want to see everything, do every quest to have more fun and you may want to do even heroics in planets. You are right too. So solution is making 12xXP an option, not an event.
  17. I got it, don't worry. Sorry, but I have to disagree. My point is, if 22 characters are not enough for you, I don't know what would be. Obviously you won't ever play with those extra characters you want to level. Noone can have that much spare time to play with them all. So I find no point in this suggestion.
  18. How about delete your characters which you don't actually play? Costs nothing, easy and opens spot for new ones
  19. No yourself I did exactly like you said. Gone with deleting my characters and when I came back and open a new char, legacy was gone. Obviously you forgot deleting one of your characters, even if it was inactive your legacy stays but if you don't have a character you can't talk about any legacy on that server.
  20. Agreed. Ship repair droid is really useful too. Maybe you don't like the timing of that purchase, maybe you need field repair droid more but know that it is not a waste at all
  21. Well, I don't think so. Because I have levelled an entire 12 characters from all classes, and most disciplines to level 55. It was applied to all of my chars on all planets and all missions.
  22. You don't have to open a report for it. Obviously you purchased the Repair Droid in your Global Unlocks menu of your Legacy. So the Repair Droid you bought was for your starships of any characters of your legacy not for field use. This is why you can't find it anywhere in your Legacy tab of Abilities menu. You can find that droid only in your starships. And yes, it is for every character you open for that legacy. So you won't have to buy it again for every character you open, because it is a global unlock If you want a repair droid for personal use, I mean for field access, you should purchase the Basic Field Repair Droid from Legacy>Character Perks> Convenience. There are three purchase that you can make there for 50k, 100k and 200k credits (350k in total). First purchase gives you a droid that you can find and use via your Abilities section. Others are for incresing its duration and lowering its cooldown. Note that since it is a character perk, you can only use Basic Field Repair Droids on characters you purchased. So it is not a global unlock, it is character perk. Hope this helps
  23. As you may understand if you read my post correctly I offered repair as a last resort. So your reaction is completely unnecessary. Note that there are lots of people who are solving lots of simple bugs otherwise seems unsolveable by simply running a repair. So if no solutions or workarounds solve your problem just run a repair, don't hesitate. It won't bite you
