  1. I notice many US players complaining about the ping, now you know what it's like for Aussie and Kiwi players connecting to SS and SF.
  2. Compared to an existing server, how is the performance? 1. Far better than on the US servers as I am located in Australia and we have been missing our old ping rates from the AUS servers 10 years ago. Getting 20-50ms is a dream that I didn't think would happen again. Thank you Bioware. - Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened? 1. Upon loading screens in some Flash Points feel SLIGHTLY slower than on existing US servers. Again, may have been one of occurrence. Everything else has pretty flawless other than existing issues on live servers. What region/country do you reside in? 1. WA, Australia. Provide a comparison of ping from existing servers to Shae Vizla. 1. I play on SS and I usually get 280-400ping in normal areas (leveling planets etc) that can spike when opening up certain pages (CS) 2. On Shae Vizla I had a stable 54ms most of the time, occasionally scaling up to 94ms down to 50ms. Regardless, A huge improvement. Is grouped content working properly? 1. Yes, I queued for and completed a WZ, a GSF and a FP. - How quickly can you get into a match or Flashpoint you’ve accepted? 1. I have noticed many US players testing the servers so US time was still important to population size on the test server, so some queues did take some time, the longest was GSF (15min), WZ popped within a few minutes (3 min) and FP a little bit longer (10min). Overall longer than on the live servers. I expect that to change as the server goes live and people invest their legacy into in. Is travel to any location (planet, Stronghold, Fleet, etc…) hindered? 1. I had no issue. Are there any issues with the UI such as missing assets or loss of functionality? 1. I had no issue. Are there any issues with visuals or sounds with the cinematics? 1. I had no issue. Note. I just wanted to say this is overall a good move which I support and would likely become my main server as an Australian player, I also expect any New Zealand or surrounding island players would join us and we might even see English speaking Indonesian and Singapore players get better performance on this server too. I do worry about the queue times and the economy long term and a solution might be to link this server with a US one so we can share population when in comes to FP, GSF, WZ/Arena and the GTN while also having much better performance on the fleet and on the planets. Perhaps a priority system for server based players and then it expands to the wider US pool might work best.
  3. Kinda tired about seeing the majority of new armour being locked behind some kind of wall, be it direct payment or on the GTN for stupid amounts of credits. I like to see a traditional return to actually earning unique armour sets. I am a subscriber an want to actually play end game in the hope of being rewarded with armour/weapons ONLY available through ingame actions. Just my thoughts as I feel the game is very shallow.
  4. I feel your pain. Even though I imagine EA has servers in Australia, our playing population probably wouldn't justify setting them up for SWTOR. I still remember the servers they had at launch for us, good old days.
  5. So I have heard some of the community ask for this feature and from a production stand point Bioware wouldn't need to get any new material and you'll still be able to use the original voice actors. What I suggest is simply adding a voice pitch slider during character creation which allows players to alter the voice of their character to perhaps sound younger, weaker or more powerful. I for one really like the Knight story line but the knight has two sub classes, the Sentinel and Guardian, so If I choose to go Male with both then I have to hear the same voice actor in the exact same way twice. This isn't even mentioning the RP options with could open up. I really hope the community can see the added benefit that such a voice pitch slider would have to current characters and even the replayability options this opens up.
  6. I've been playing SWTOR on and off since it launched back in 2011 and I'm going to list a few things i'd like improved or introduced to enhance SWTOR for everyone. When I played through to max level back in the day (2011) I was blown away by how good the animation was (At least I thought it looked great). Faces moved into emotions and moods more naturally then compared to what I've seen with the more recent content. I understand the SWTOR team has less people and resources then ever before, but after a certain game's animation issues that I won't mention it was sad to see it somehow reflected in SWTOR, at least in my opinion. Just look at some of the faces Lana and your character pull in KOTET. I don't hate the cartel shop and I appreciate same of the changes that have been made, however I still feel as if 90% of the 'new' content (weapons, armour, emotes, decorations, some resources etc) as locked behind an RNG pay wall and there is no way to earn them ingame through progression and not the GTN. I think there are ways to go around this without changing the Cartel shop at all. If players progress through companion affection ranks then at certain ranks, .e.g 30, 40 and 50, rewards should be given to players, e.g. Companion Customisations and possibly even their unique hair styles. These are purely cosmetic changes which simply allow players to earn rewards through progression in ingame content as well as being able to purchase them via the Cartel shop or GTN if they wish. I do spend a lot of time in this game, I am a subscriber and I don't mind actually doing things to get the items I want. TLDR: *Better facial animations *Possibility to earn cosmetic items that are behind the Cartel shop through ingame progression.
