  1. Yea, I'm disappointed with my slot machine. It appears to only drop a lot of rep items for a rep vendor that really doesn't have anything worth having. Big waste of time and credits.
  2. LOL, aranav, get a clue. A gaming company is a business and the players are customers. Business is all about making money, so it is always good business to make your customers happy so they will continue to pay for your product; to do otherwise is just stupid. Therefore, everyone who works for the gaming company is there to make us happy. Again, aranav, get a clue. Go read the reply to this thread from AllisonBerryman and pay particular attention to the last paragraph. The gear she is referring to is the gear I'm talking about.
  3. No. You're the one that is missing the point. And that point is that there are certain armor appearances already existing in the game that a lot of us have been wanting custom versions of, but they don't currently exist in the game in custom form. The devs asked everyone to list the armor they wanted custom versions of in a thread on this forum and said they would see about adding those custom versions to the game. Now we're being told that, yes, they are adding the custom versions we asked for but the only way for us to get them is to purchase a gambling box for a random chance. This has absolutely nothing to do with simply finding a unique look. It has everything to do with getting the specific items we have been searching for without having to gamble real money for them. It has everything to do with us telling the devs what would make us happy and the devs, once again, screwing the pooch and alienating more of us with their misguided gambling scheme. If you are really interested in keeping players from leaving this game, do you really think belittling their complaints is helpful in that regard?
  4. Oh, okay. Hey, everyone, crisis averted because we already have all the custom gear we could ever want. /sarcasm off. Arunav, we already know every piece of custom gear that is available in the game because there is so little of it available and we can see it all on websites such as Torhead. And If we had all the custom gear we wanted, we wouldn't be pissed off about this issue would we? I guess you're one of those who thinks that if you're happy with the current state of affairs, then that should be good enough for everyone. We're not willing settle for just any "unique looking orange set."
  5. You know, I would never pay to gamble on a chance to get something in any game, but I would actually pay a few dollars to buy custom armor and weapon appearances and other things that I want as long as I'm enjoying playing the game. Unfortunately, Bioware, I'm not enjoying your game because it is boring at level 50. I find myself logging on and then realizing there is nothing to do that I will enjoy doing, so I log off and do something much more enjoyable like playing Free Cell on my PC or watching Storage Wars on TV; seriously. I cancelled my subscription a couple days ago because of this. I doubt I'll be playing F2P because if there was any reason for me to play, I would not have cancelled my sub. But this latest effort by you, Bioware, to fleece more money out of your players by coercing them into gambling for the appearances they want, just put the nail in your coffin as far as I'm concerned. Such behavior on your part is not only immoral and unethical but it might also be illegal here in the U.S. So before you implement your gambling scheme, you might want to have your legal department review the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 and all subsequent case law and then try to imagine the uproar from parents to their congressmen and senators when they find out little Johnny has wasted his college fund wagering for cyber gear in your game.
  6. Also, I would like a custom version of the level 9 Gammorean Wraidskin Boots; they use the same model as the custom Sentinel Boots but are a different color of brown without the blue piping.
  7. No; that's incorrect. Although the item linked uses the spider chest as its base, Spider chest pieces do not have all of the gadgetry on the back nor do they have that collar. There are versions of that item in the game, but no custom versions of it in that color. PLEASE, DEVS, GIVE US A CUSTOM VERSION OF THIS VEST! Further, regarding the Spider chest, a smuggler can get the light-blue/grey version from completing the Gree mission line on Coruscant, and you can get both the rust and the burgundy versions from the Smuggler PvP vendors on Coruscant and Republic Fleet. But there is also a non-custom dark brown version called Reinforced Mesh Jacket/Stealth Jacket made by armormechs from standard trainer purchased schematics. I think the dark brown version is the best looking one, so it's a shame we don't have a custom version of it. PLEASE, DEVS, GIVE US A CUSTOM VERSIONS OF THE DARK BROWN STEALTH JACKET (SPIDER VEST)!
  8. 1) A larger variety of custom blaster pistols. I want a custom pistol for every pistol graphic in the game and I want new custom blaster pistols that are scaled correctly so they don't look like unwieldy monstrosities. Most of the blaster pistols in the game right now are too fugly and/or too wide and/or too long. What is the reason for the two long scopes on that one blaster pistol? Just looks ridiculous. If I had my druthers, I'd like a blaster pistol that looks like a black Colt Commander with ivory grips. We're gunslingers, for crying out loud. How are we supposed to quick-draw pistols that are as long as our forearms with all kinds of attachments to snag on our clothing? 2) A better color unify system. I like color unify, but right now it is good only as long as you like the color your armor changes too. I like my chest armor, but when I color unify my other armor pieces to it, it changes them to red when I really want brown/tan. I would like a color unify system that would allow me to color unify any piece of armor I am wearing to any other piece of armor I am wearing. I could be entertained for hours just trying out different combinations. 3) Ship customization, both inside and outside. I would really like to decorate the inside of my ship and paint some nose art on the outside.
  9. I'm not surprised about this decision. F2P is the new model for these games as it has proven to be more lucrative in most cases. However, it does seem like everyone who currently has level 50 toons is getting the short end of the stick since they had to pay for all of that content that F2P players will get for free. The Cartel rewards better be pretty impressive to make up for that. I'm contemplating leaving this game anyway since I've found there is nothing I want to do at 50 and I'm bored with leveling alts and doing all of the same missions.
  10. Bioware, I just love being forced to change my toon's name due to your mandatory server transfers, which were solely caused by your incompetence in managing this game from the start, especially when I pre-ordered the game for the sole purpose of getting into the game early so I could get the name I wanted. Did anyone even think, "Hey, if we simply allow people to use spaces in their toon's names, then they could add a last name to their first name in the case of duplicate names."? I guess that would be too costly for you to implement. I think you guys really are turning out to be the gang who can't shoot straight.
  11. After reading the, "Hoth Accounts Threatened by GM", thread, I think something needs to be said to Bioware even if it angers some people. SWTOR customer service needs to actually do their job before they come on this forum and publicly chastise players who have honestly submitted customer service tickets. JovethGonzelez, there is absolutely no excuse for your despicable conduct of prematurely painting players as liars before an internal investigation was even completed that found them to be telling the truth. Your customer service team did the same thing to me when I voiced a customer service complaint and they gave me the same lame excuse that I was wrong because they could find no record of the incident in the game logs. It makes me wonder how many other players have been wronged in this same fashion by customer service. It is now quite apparent that either the customer service team is incapable performing an adequate search of the logs or the logs are incapable of recording the necessary information. Either way, you have a serious problem that needs to be fixed immediately.
  12. To the original poster, Bioware should be providing the content that players say they want. But, instead, they have repeatedly played the bait and switch game of over-hyping upcoming content and then either failing to deliver or delivering watered down versions. We keep telling them we want A...we want A, and they respond okay, we understand you want A so that's what we're going to give you; and then what they give us is over-hyped B or nothing at all. And the only reason we don't get A is because they have crunched the numbers and decided it will cut too much into their profit margin to spend the money to provide A. And up until now Bioware believed they were getting away with it and could ignore the complaints because they have plenty of people such as yourself shooting down all the honest criticism and patting Bioware on the back when they don't deserve it. But now the subscriptions numbers have -- surprise, surprise -- drastically tanked so much that Bioware can't ignore they are doing something drastically wrong. Hench the firing of people and the recent damage control dev posts on this forum. But despite that, here you are saying the sky really isn't falling, And the mere fact that you felt the need to start this thread in the first place shows that you really believe the opposite is true. I hope Bioware can get their act together and turn this game around. They can start by delivering what they have already promised. But if SWTOR continues to die, it won't be because of the complainers; it will be because of people like you who give the devs a false sense of security by shooting down the complainers.
  13. 1) Bioware, you told us right around the time of game launch that we didn't need an appearance tab, dye system, or color match because there was already an orange (custom) item to match every green (premium) piece of armor in the game. You lied. Shame on you. Then you told us we would be getting all of that with 1.2. You lied again. Shame on us for giving you a second chance. You don't get a third chance from me. If I had found a custom version of the reinforced mesh jacket/stealth jacket and a couple other items I've been looking for, I would not be unsubscribed right now. 2) At level 50 there is absolutely nothing of any entertainment value to do. This game was hyped on taking the grind out of leveling. But at 50, the only thing to do is grind the daily missions. I've tried leveling up an alt, but got bored because, other than the class story line, it's just all of the same missions on the same planets that I've already done. I'm not really blaming you for this, Bioware, as it would be pretty huge undertaking to create tons of different missions for each class. It is what it is. Nevertheless, if you hadn't lied about number 1 above, I would not have unsubscribed. 3) The majority of the blaster pistols in the game look like crap. One of them looks like a blow dryer; a few of them look like electric drills; and some of them look like they would be really painful for a human to wield. They are all too wide and many are too long to be realistically wielded one-handed. They are just scaled too big. Nevertheless, if you hadn't lied about number 1 above, I would not have unsubscribed. 4) The choices for male body types are between bad and worse. Body type 1 looks like a little boy. Body type 2 looks seriously malnourished. Body type 3 looks freakish. body type 4 is fine if you want paunchy toons. Many of us have been telling you since before launch that we need a body type in between types 2 and 3, but that has fallen on deaf ears. Nevertheless, if you hadn't lied about number 1 above, I would not have unsubscribed. 5) Your game stole approximately 80k credits from me during a server reset. Your customer service told me they searched the game logs and could find no record of it and refused to reimburse the 80k. Through careful questioning of customer service about what they did and didn't find in the logs, including another transactions that took place between my toons that they said they found no record of, I'm convinced that either your game logs are seriously lacking or your customer service people are. When there is no way for a player to review game logs, It's pretty easy for customer service to say they searched the logs when they actually didn't. Nevertheless, if you hadn't lied about number 1 above, I would not have unsubscribed. I'm still hanging around because my subscription does not run out until sometime in June.
  14. Yea, 1.2 must have fixed it. I just got a letter from Jaxo with attached companion gift and another item that starts a quest to meet with her when you right click it. Met and slept with her but don't know where it will go from there.
  15. 1: Don't care about. 2: Don't care about. 3. Don't care about. 4. Don't care about. 5. Orange versions of all green gear in the game, which has been promised twice by Bioware but not delivered. Already cancelled subscription, so chance of me waiting around for 1.3 to be lied to again by Bioware is pretty slim.
  16. If you meant that as a compliment, thank you. However, if you meant it as an insult, you just failed; and you might want to google "venona." You see, years ago, information was declassified that indicated that McCarthy was correct with his accusations that the U.S. government had been infiltrated by communists. It turns out McCarthy was not the evil zealot that he has been made out to be by the liberal left but was actually a pretty good guy, so much so that he was one of Bobby Kennedy's best friends. Of course, you won't learn any of that from the liberal (socialist) run U.S Department of Education, the liberal run mainstream media, or the liberal run Public Broadcasting System because they have been perpetrating the myth about McCarthy for 50 years, all the while trying to indoctrinate American school children into socialism.
  17. If by, "people like you", you mean someone who won't just bend over and take it up the ... by Bioware when Bioware has deceived them, then you can count me in the ranks of "people like you." too. And if Bioware continues to lie in order to get more of their players' money -- which, by the way, is a little more serious than not keeping 100% of its customers happy -- then the worst thing a player can do is cower and not speak out in fear of offending Bioware. So don't sit up there on your high horse and accuse any of us of being babies for speaking out when we have presented proof positive that we have been wronged by Bioware; because real men speak out to right wrongs. You go ahead and keep playing and keep hoping for that better deal next time, Neville Chamberlain.
  18. I think liars are the scum of the earth. If any of you are as outraged as I am about being lied to by Bioware twice now regarding orange items to match every green armor and weapon in the game, I challenge you to do what I just did; cancel your subscription.
  19. The only orange schematics they added were two schematics for each type of weapon. No new armor schematics have shown up even though they were very clear that there would be orange schematics to match the graphics of every green armor and weapon in the game. They lied.
  20. No use getting upset over something you can't change. This is just a game and there are plenty more just like it out there. And it's not the first game that has taken our money and then not delivered what was promised; in the real world, that's called fraud. What we need to realize is that everything to do with these games revolves around money. A dev's goal is to earn as much money as he/she can by creating games. The only reason it matters to a dev that anyone actually likes the game they create is that if no one likes it, the gaming company will lose money and the dev might be out of a job. The dev has to answer to the gaming company he/she works for, which has to answer to it's stock holders; and stock holders only care about profits. So the goal of the gaming company is to make as large a profit is they can before we all go away. As such, everything they do is weighed against their profit margin. They will continue to make promises and not deliver as long as we continue to complain but not go away. I'm about ready to go away.
  21. Yea, this issue is the only issue as far as I'm concerned. And if you've read all the dev statements and watched the guild summit prior to 1.2, and you are a reasonable person with average reading comprehension skills, the only conclusion you would draw is that we should now have orange schematics for most, if not all, green weapons and armor in the game. But even before the devs started talking about 1.2; way back right after launch, when they were talking about why they didn't have a color-match system in the game; they told is that we didn't need one because there was already a orange version of every green item in the game. Anyone remember the following quote shortly after launch? "Partially moddable premium (green) items were removed as they essentially lied to the players: an item missing a mod slot would never be able to match a high end non-moddable item. Instead, to compensate for the loss of diversity, orange versions of all green armors was created and given to the crafters. So, yes, if you see a green armor you really like, you still can have that appearance until end level. It does take a bit of work - you either need to become a crafter yourself, befriend one or trawl the GTN. Emmanuel Lusinchi Associate Lead Designer" The only conclusion I can draw , Bioware, is that you don't have a clue as to what actually is in your game. Where is the modable version of the reinforced mesh jacket/stealth jacket (This is a armormech trainer schematic)? Where is the modable version of gamorrean wraidskin boots? Where is the modable version of the Prototype Mar Tech Suppression Blaster? I'm sure I and others here could go on and on with items that are nowhere to be found in this game that, according to statements made by you, should be.
  22. Would have been nice if we were told that before I purchased these useless, lame abilities.
  23. I've received half a dozen or so augment schematics for armstech, armormech, and synthweaving, and if I remember right, they all came from slicing augment part missions. I don't believe I've received any of them from underworld trading missions.
  24. I finished respecing my gunslinger after 1.2 today and noticed that Bowdaar now only has 14.1k hit points, whereas prior to 1.2 he had 16.7k hit points. Bioware, is this working as intended?
  25. No. This does not clear anything up because it doesn't even address the OP's question. The OP's question relates solely to obtaining custom (orange) schematics. Shortly after game launch, Bioware was addressing itemization and the issue of why Bioware decided not to include a color match system in the launch version of the game. Bioware stated there was no need for it because there was already a custom (orange) item in the game to match every premium (green) item. I can only speak for myself and my experience is that this was a misrepresentation. There are four items I've been trying to find custom versions of since game launch and so far I've had no luck. These items don't even show up in item databases on Torhead or other data mining websites, so I'm convinced they are not in the game. Then during the guild summit, Bioware indicated that with 1.2, many, if not most, items in the game would yield a custom schematic from reverse engineering. I stuck around because of this. Apparently, from the patch notes, this is also turning out to be a misrepresentation. Bioware, when we find a piece of gear that we like the look of, no matter how low level that piece of gear is, we want to be able to keep that look and not have to discard it a couple levels later after out leveling it. We want to be able to obtain a custom version of that item without having to search high and low for it when we don't even know for sure whether it exists in the game or not. Therefore, we want to be able to obtain the custom skin from reverse engineering the non-custom item. What part of this don't you understand?
