  1. We walk a fine line with this class. One small push can make us perfect, but even a little bit more than that will make us crazy OP. From a PvP perspective only, I would just like to see a passive for vengeance's dots. I hate messing up my team's CC with dots that tick on slept targets. Nothing more aggravating. Riposte off gcd is fine. I don't use it much. I'd rather they just remove the dots from the scream, from impale and add that to their dmg. Maybe increase the dmg done by sundering a LITTLE. Then improve the utility for endure pain, that lets you run faster. Bump it up 15% to be comparable to PTs. Maybe. What's your guys thoughts? Because I know mobility is an issue melee classes have. A slight bump to that could help the PvP. Would it be too much though? and I'd like to hear from those that main 'rage' spec. What is the MAIN issue with that spec. For me, it just feel's slow. Vengeance I'm wielding a rapier, and in rage, I feel like I'm lugging a sledgehammer around.

  3. well everyone is going to like different things. Youtubing is like selling any kind of product, you have to find a niche to get your foot in the door. and imo, it's best to just be yourself. Then let the chips fall where they may. I'm blunt, rude, crass lol. I know this. Some might like it, and laugh. Others might not. OH an to the one that talked about wanting tips. I guess I could provide some. Not that basic stuff though. What wizbasky does. "You can attack mid air after being sent up in the fans in huttball" most of his "tips" people either know, or can easily find out on their own. So look in the upcoming videos. I'll see what I can do.
  4. A faster channel on masterstrike or ravage would be nice at the right time. Tbh that would have been a better set bonus than the insta crit on overhead. master strike does a LOT of dmg, but it feels slower than simply running through the rest of your rotation. Maybe they could increase the speed by a moderate amount by quickening the combat animations.
  5. Here's my opinion of the two specs. Vengeance is great, but has sloppy design with the dots. They don't tick near enough (except plasma brand) and there are no utilities to protect slept targets from being woken with your dots. I'd much prefer them spread out the dot dmg we do into straight, white dmg across the various skills. Maybe keep plasma brand, but definitely include a utility or passive. Now rage, only problem I have with rage is that it's a pain to keep steady, sustained dmg with it. Is all about the burst. Unlike other burst classes though, you can't really pressure anyone UP until you do burst them. The rotation feels slow, and managing rage in rage spec is a lot more work imo than vengeance. So...I dunno. Personally, I kind of wish they'd give the 4sec jump immunity from veng to all jugg and mara specs. Melee really needs to have that little window to get started. Good players just bounce those away that don't have it, Which is why I've stayed vengeance.
  6. That'd be fun. My guardian is Ferreus-sword. I'd be happy to duel anyone on the bastion. IMO, dueling is the best way to improve. Separates the dot-tabbers from the true beasts in PvP

  8. I have to say, my only gripe is that this is a dot spreading class, and we don't have a passive or utility that makes it so our dots don't tick on slept targets. Which makes using awe a waste sometimes. Or in group ranked, when you have spread your dots, and a sorc/sage on your team tries to lift a target.
  9. That's fine. Everyone has their own taste. Personally, I haven't an interest in giving "tips". Game's been out 3yrs. Besides, PvP is all about who you're against. You have to learn the players, not the 'norm' Some people ALWAYS push grass on civil war. Others ALWAYS stack on top of each other. Saying that stealth approach from the back more often than not is actually wrong. When they go to attack, YES. From behind, most the time. But if they are sapping people, they good ones come in from in from whatever angle that gives them the most room. There are basic philosophies to node guarding, to playing huttball. But unless you are running with a large guild who are all in voice chat. It won't matter much.

  11. I'll be doing a video showcasing the guardian/juggernaut within the week. Now, while I play the class myself and obviously have my own opinions. I'd be curious to hear from the community. Any weaknesses you've found in the class? How does it perform in PvP? How does it perform in PvE? What spec do you prefer and why? Also, Jugg/Guard tank vs PT/VG vs Shadow/sin: how does it stack up in PvP and/or PvE? Lastly, what improvements would you make, if any? Any particularly insightful response or funny one will be featured in the video.

  13. Am still learning the special effects and editing techniques myself. Takes time and patience. Getting a green screen soon. editing well also takes some investment lol
  14. I dunno, I think I get more bang for my buck with a 5k missile blast or 7-8k channel of sweeping blasters than I do Fusion missile. Hits initially for like 2-3k maybe, then the dots are really weak. With shadows and operatives being able to cleanse dots on stealth most the time, doesn't serve to pop them out anymore either.
  15. Nah man, he's really not good lol. I've had enough run ins with him to know. Last I checked too, he ran IO merc? Watching him die over an over, then only do like 400k dmg was ...ridiculous.
  16. Thing is...Wizbasky is horrible XD Am on the same server as he is. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who actually LIKES having him on the team.
  17. I am indeed. Hence the warning at the start lol. So many keybinders lose to me 1v1 though. Go figure XD but I'll stress. HYBRID clicker. Have important **** keybound, rest I click.
  18. some do lol. I tend to stay alive longer than most mercs. Even when focused. I can usually stay alive long enough that someone on other team dies first at least.
  19. lol, happens on occasion. First time in months right here, in this video XD Was so focused on creating aoe pressure with all them stacked. My sweeping blasters overheated me.
  20. Oh don't be fooled. Most the good players focus me hard. Am just lucky some nights, and I go against peeps who don't realize the kind of burst we mercs have lol
  21. Am a LOTRO vet. I picked up my weird style there. Has worked for me. I never feel like I'm underperforming lol
  22. lol some of us make merc look better than it is. And that's mainly with the help of teams who don't know to focus us.
