  1. I gotta agree with you. I don't see how people can complain about an ability with a cast bar that can be interupted... mind boggling.
  2. I see no sarcasm whatsoever in this BioWare employee's response. Maybe your confused on the definition of sarcasm? Because it looks to me like a very straight forward response to an absolutly ridiculous post. And to those who say Operative Healers < Sorc Healers, I must know how your coming to that brilliant conclusion with no parses at all.
  3. How about this, lets ALL have the option to play the game how we like! That way I can look at my parses and you can minimize yours, and then we all are happy happy joy joy. 1k dps alone may not be a deciding factor or whatever, but there's TONS more statistics to monitor! Threat, DPS, HPS, Mitigation, Absorbtion, Activity, Deaths, Revives, Killing blows, omg it goes on and on. Why would someone just big fat not want to know what those numbers are is beyond me, but either way - we should have the option. nuff said?
  4. Even more dissapointed to see nothing mentioned about a Combat Log in the new preview video . . . sigh. BioWare, EA, or to whome it may concern! You say you pay attention to what the players want, well here is a good chance for you to prove it. - Threat - Damage - Healing - Mitigation - Absorbtion - Activity These are the things we want to know. give us a universal combat meter!
  5. Let me begin by stating, one of the most popular arguements with this game is when/if BioWare will allow addons. Don't be confused, this post is not here to stir that up. What I am asking for is not an "addon" but an additional component of the game, integrated by BioWare themselves. A Combat log/meter. Right now there is no way to gauge your performance PvE wise. Theorycrafting is gimped. Threat generation for everyone is up in the air. Who ever is doing the most/least healing or damage is anyones guess, and there is zero competition. Doesn't sound too complicated, our abilities already put out the numbers... just keep track of it is all. I would have thought by now something like this would already be implemented. The fact that it has not leads me to suspect it wont, and that's gonna be a real long-term problem. I bet there are some of you out there who want your numbers to be kept a secret. Who think it will ruin the game if performance is monitored. I respect their opinion, which is why in addition to the Combat Meter, include a toggle button to show/hide the interface.
  6. Besides the glitches & odd ball hicups, what about this game is not complete?? Nightmare modes, Operations, PvP, Open Worlds, Storyline, Check!
  7. lol "Rome wasn't built it a day" and neither are MMO's. Most people are still leveling their mains for gosh sake, and even more are just now starting the game.
  8. lol oh and the game has been officially out 1 month and 4 days. lol u guys crack me up.
  9. Just so all of you know. The swtor flamers & haters that post on these forums make up such a TINY percentage of the actual population of the game. For every one person that has beef big enough to write it all down here, theres a thousand who never read it because they are busy playing swtor.
  10. This thread wasn't created as someones opinion. The dude made a list rofl. If you try telling people how it is, be prepared to be told how it is.
  11. Makes no sense whatsoever. You can quest to level up, yes. If you choose to do that, your gonna get a story with it. And a class based story at least is almost required in anything with the post-text 'RPG' . . But you also can PvP, run instances, & heroic areas to level up as well . . . . . . and then you get to end game with Nightmare mode PvE Raids/Flaspoints & PvP (soon to come). What part of what I just said isn't an accurate representation of an MMO? You know, if u wanna multiplayer - you have to actually talk to other people /gasp
  12. God I swear everyone forgets the hour and half WoW queues even MONTHS after the game came out. This goes with any new MMO, as everyone before me has said again, and again, and again. Additionally, pre-order customers with pre-made guilds were assigned servers. So these long queues before the game was released . . . probably not due to a bunch of "Full Server Only Plz" noobs, if they even exist.
  13. Also in comparison my CPU is a hexacore - and we both run the game the same (minus load times hehe)
  14. Not true Not true Not true. My brother runs this game on a dual core celeron 2.2ghz - ATI 6770 - 3gb RAM, and the game runs as smooth as a babies bottom.
  15. And here I thought I was the only one this whole time hahaha. I run with the following: AMD x6 1055t 2.8ghz HIS HD 4650 1gb DDR3 6gb DDR3 RAM Razor Naga While my video card is not top of the line, it MORE than exceedes the recommended req. for the game. By a boatload. I run all my graphics on high. Haven't noticed any mouse delay. I DO notice mouse acceleration like a mofo. I had to bring my mouse speed down to 2% in game, and its playable - but if I dare go above 15% . . . its laughable. let me make a note here that your DPI shouldn't matter - as the reason for high DPI is not for faster mouse movement - but for increased accuracy. You shouldn't have to customize your DPI for any game at all. DPI stays the same & the game should control movement speed. This gives us the extra accuracy provided by high DPI mice. EDIT: Anyone having problems with this should try mouse speeds in game from 0% - 3%
  16. I get the reason for the Warzone queue being as it is... to prevent one warzone from being overpopulated while others stay barren, as was the case in WoW over many years, esspecially in the lower levels. The do need more vibrant spell effects for debuffs. Or they need to give more customization options for FlyText.
  17. And WoW wasn't the day before it came out? There could be a lot of reasons for this "lag" but I don't see it being that big of a deal that it can't be simply fixed in a patch.
  18. What I'd like to know is exactly how the OP got the number 6/10. Cause I got 8.5/10, check your math.
  19. Ok cmon tech support, at least tell us if the vendor will be coming back? I saw the vendor 2 days ago, and last night he's nowhere to be found. I would love to see a yellow text reply.
  20. A long time ago in a galaxy far away, I used to be a clicker. So I know what you mean about transitioning. It can take some time, but there is another way . . . About a year ago, after already becoming an accomplished keystroker, I purchased the Razor Naga gaming mouse. 17 button mouse with numbers 1 - 12 placed just under your right thumb. My piont is, if you have the extra money ($60) and are having some trouble getting used to keybinding - buy this mouse. The learning curve is, imo, much faster & it tottaly makes keybinding obsolete. Imagine having all your class abilities at the reach of your right thumb, how much freedom that gives your left hand . . . you will never have to stop moving to press a key again.
  21. anyone who paid $5 to pre-order wasted their money
  22. What $5?? I pre-ordered through Best Buy - completely free (minus the actual cost of the game $59.99+tax). Sucks for you guys. P.S. TBH we are privelaged to be given early access, then they jump the gun on early access by 3 days! and still people turn into trolls . . .
