  1. SWTOR is a PVE game, i.e. a game where a team of players working together try to beat computer. PVE is fun because of some basic synergies, like tank guard or... undying rage ! UR primary goal is to eat a large amount of damage while keeping sustained DPS and waiting for heals without dying. Currently, UR is working as intended in PVE. What about PVP ? Are you playing in a team ? or AS a team ? Yes ? So let's CC this mara while you kill enemy healer. Not you alone, but you and your TEAM. Are you playing solo ? OK, try to have fun but don't ask for a balanced 1vs1 game because SWTOR is NOT this kind of game. You know what ? Yes ! PVP is fun when a team of players working together try to beat an enemy team ! In short, play as a team. If you want 1 vs 1 balanced fights, play Tekken or Virtua Fighters.

  3. "Maras are OP, survivability bla bla bla..." All snipers MM are just laughing right now... More maras on the battlefield, more targets for them Strange thing, i see a lot of snipers reroll on 1-49 bracket.

  6. @VoidJustice Carnage mara actually has 3 roots. And he needs them, thanks to this bump / snare / stun / mezz fest BW is calling "PVP".
  7. Carnage mara is essentially based on snares (as without them, his dps is just ****). Even with them, it can be really difficult to keep some target at range, thanks to my burst system (6 seconds of 100% arPen which require a 2/3 GCD setup). Kite me even 2 seconds during this 100% arPen buff and i'm totally ****ed up. Needless to say, even with all those snares (when they work, ty buggy game !), it's really easy to "kite" me during my burst (bump me / push me / interrupt my ravage / unsnare and get away), thanks to the actual massive lag. You still want to add "snares" to the resolve system?

  10. Which current form ? Annihilation ? Play a carnage Mara, read 1.2 patch note one more time, think again... BTW, you'd better learn to recognize Mara's "gore" strike, cause you're gonna see it more, after 1.2...
  11. Mmmh... Are you playing against a puching ball, who don't bump / stun / mezz / interrupt you ? For example, i've got a 6 seconds buff of 100% armor penetration with gore (15 sec CD)... If i'm bumped/stun/rooted right after my gore, i'm just screwed... Just saying...
  12. Thank you sir, As you said, Maras's are far from being OP, and so easily controllable. WE ROCK CAUSE WE KNOW HOW TO PLAY OUR CLASS !
  13. @Celebrus, Sorry but i think we don't play against the same kind of players... When i pop my force camo, i face a LOT of AOE during the first 3 seconds. Cause my ennemis know how to play, maybe ? BTW I'm a carnage mara, so my force camo comes with 0% damage reduction... ty for the buff, bioware
  14. @Caelrie Why this OP would engage me while not cloaked ? If he ever does this, i smoke him in 6 GCD. But he deserves it cause that's not the way you play an OP. What if I jump right into a pack of enemy players, when my defensives cd's are not up ? What if I engage a pyrotech, while my defensive cd's are not up ? What if I engage anything which have a stun / snare / root while my defensive cd's are not up ? I die. What ?! A mara can die ?! THAT'S THE FIRST THING WE LEARN !! THAT'S WHY WE TRY TO PLAY OUR CLASS WELL !!
  15. @Leszor, Yeah, a class so good that well played OP wrecks me 100% of the time (when he gets me without my unstun, on 1vs1, etc.) Yeah, a class so good that i just EXPLODES when i'm focus fired. Yeah, a class so good that i'm just PERMA BUMP PERMA SNARE by good players. Yeah a class so good that i can WRECK HAVOC ON YOUR TINY *** only if you leave it to me. <- Is that the problem ? Mara's are far from OP. Period.
  16. Leszor, I play a mara too, and if a well-geared (i know that by doing a post combat gear check) OP get me from stealth on a 1 vs 1 fight, i'm dead during the 2nd stun if i can't unstun. Probability : 100% if nobody helps me. There's another class which is awesome : pyrotech. But this one leaves me with 10%/20% life and a chance to flee. OP clearly are awesome bursters who don't even have to fight if they get an unstun-on-cd target on 1 vs 1. Man, your class is just awesome, from a mara point of view.

  18. Bioware (dear Santa Claus), I am a Carnage Marauder. I was doing fine until now, in PVP. With this patch, i'm going to be the true "King of snares" (snare with Carnage now uninterruptible, snare with deadly throw + healing debuff not removable, snare from force jump, spammable crippling slash... All of those snares, of course, do not depend of resolve !) Oh, and thank you for 50% damage mitigation which comes with force camouflage. Now I'm gonna keep my invincibility for the second jump on my poor target. And thank you again for the 10% damage buff applied to my lovely Ataru form ! I'm still not OP, so please give me : A jump on friend A force push A 30 meters range & spammable vicious throw A new damage mitigation ability (-75% damage would be fine, so i could use it just before my invicibility) A third light saber ... BIOWARE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE !! ALL HATERS WILL REROLL MARA'S NOW !! AAAARGH !!!! I hate you, but thank you though.

    Want to kill a Mara ? Roll an OP, a sniper, a pyrotech... This game is like a rock-paper-scissors game, no class is better than all others...
