  1. I'd go DD/Leth which seems to be a consensus.

To me, the last two ponts are either for Chem-resistant, or Flash Powder. I prefer FP since it makes one of our best short term CC's even better, especially for a healer. As a healer, you have a pretty good idea when/if the kriff hits the fan, and in knowing that, you can reduce incoming damage at will, which is nifty.

I don't think either is a bad choice, just depends on if you like to activly cc when your healing or not.

edit: forgot to add, for a raiding build Chem-resistant is almost definitely better since FB doesn't work on bosses (I believe? I havent tested if FB'ing a boss mob will still apply the FP debuff or not). If FP does work on bosses even if the FB it self doesn't stick, then it will almost guareented be a required raiding talent, i'll test it the next time im in game.

  2. hmm interesting, if thats the case I wonder how much crit you actually need. Atm I am at a base crit level of 36% + talents on top, and my surge rating is close to 70%. But after using shiv, stim pack, corrosive dart, corrosive grenade, shiv, cull....My energy level has fallen low making its regeneration slow already.

Atleast with Concealment we have a 0 Energy backstab, during that time, with stimpack energy can regen significantly quicker. Its interesting to see in time whats better with gear, sadly my last respec was 48k and I am sure it doubles each time :(

I know what your saying 'bout the energy, and Cull definitely just wrecks an energy bar (using both TA proc's is 38 energy? Yikes, thats enough to almost drop you down to three pips of regen from cap). I'm guessing around ~40% flat crit will be the breakpoint, but no hard maths have been done yet.

What i'm thinking is this: Do a full rotation (both dots+weak blast+shiv) = 75 energy spent, not counting any regen gained. So sitting @ 25 energy; adren probe back up to 75 energy, cull x2 back down 38. That's just technicly one rotation (i dont use backstab as leth though some might), so, again not counting nat regen OR stim boost, you need to be able to make up AT LEAST 60 energy or so returned from dot crits to maintain even the most basic of rotations. Which would mean 30 crits between two dots spread out over 21 seconds. Which, since each dot ticks every 3 seconds, is impossible: (21/3)*2=14 total ticks, period).

Once i'm done with all my christmas stuff i'll actually sit down with the numbers and get some more solid theorycrafting (theoryTOR'ing?) done.

  3. I don't think this is a server specific thing.

On The Fatman, it happens to me roughly 40% of the time, especially on Huttball. It happened in beta often enough too.

    Quite annoying too.

I didn't have an issue with it during 239's build, and only had it sporadically on Leviathan (not counting weekend warrior tests). But on Swiftsure, i cant seem to land a damn HS in a warzone to save my life (literally).

  4. They placed two of their agents in mortal jeopardy with this course of action.

That's why I though they were incompetent.

While I agree with you, by this point we're Cipher Agents.... its not like the military has any clue what we are doing for the most part. They did the military thing; protecting assets. While its pretty vague exactly how much space and power a Cipher is given, its pretty clear (at least through a certain ensign's dialouge) that we are ghosts with almost no direct oversight other than a Watcher or two.

  5. In my beta agent, i let Watcher X live. For my live agent, i decided that this IA was not quite as ruthless as the last one (seriously, i hate kaliyo... but some of the things she says if you let watcher x live cuts pretty deep).

This is all pretty spoiler heavy for chapter 2 so it gets to go under spoiler tags. DO NOT read this if you haven't completed chapter 2 yet.

So. with my first play through kept watcher x alive, right? Well, once the brainwashing kriff goes into effect and you start seeing watcher x, i figured hey, dude's com'ing me from those implants right? Right, sure.

Cut to my second play through, with watcher x dead this time. But he still shows up. SO WHAT THE EFF IS ACTUALLY GOING ON? Is the codeword just seriously frying my brain synapses? Is it just a straight up stress induced hallucination? Man, I don't even know any more.

    Sp uh, yeah.

  6. Having the probes as a TA-factory for cull sounds very interesting on paper, the question is does it get unwieldy managing the probes, dots and the enemy target same time in pvp.

It only really gets unwieldy past keeping hots up on self+1 plus poisons on a target or three. In 1v1, its not unwieldy at all. Since casting a hot while targeting an enemy just casts the hot on yourself. So, hot hot, dot dot, cull spammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. (not that simple in practice, but you get the idea.)

  7. After finally getting around to really getting my hands on lethality. i've come to the conclusion that is much the same as yours; Concel for burst, leth for sustained. But tbh, that seems pretty obvious from the mechanics.

When it comes to raiding, i intend to play concel for the early game, not only because it is a spec that i'm extreamly comfortable, but because I think it requires less gear to be effective. While crit/surge/power etc, will increase DPS, it won't increase anything else. With leth, as gear scales up, so will energy regen through more crits. I have a feeling (nothing truely concrete to prove this though) that leth will end up being the better raiding spec past a certain crit %.

Also as pointed out, the biggest limiter to a leth build is TA procs. Well, running a standard 3/7/31 build, the only way your getting TA's is via shiv in combat (plus the two HS's-one at the start, another with vanish). To combat this, i've been testing out the 18/0/23 build thats been floating around. The question becomes at this point: do the added culls (and there are a whoooole lot of them) make up for the lack of weakening blast and the 15% to dots sub 30%? I honestly don't know, nor do I believe i have crit to truely pull ANY leth build off (i'm @ 32% flat crit, 44% for periodics).

  8. The DPS of an Operative/Scoundrel...how does it stack up soloing and in groups?

Oh yeah. Solo, our burst DPS is some of the best; its not a surprise when hidden strike one shots something, or an entire fight is done in <15 seconds. In groups, our dps is acceptable....but our CC is king. 2 60 sec ccs, 1 disorient, 1 stun, 1 interupt? What group wouldnt want all that with a side of back up heals?

  9. Yeah having force speed and pull must suck lol

But in all honesty we dont require much, we get 15% run speed through talents, a snare ( root talented ) some CC and the ability to dish out dps on move cloak and vanish.

The absolute only thing I wish we had was a stealth opener that silenced for ~5 seconds, preferably with a small dot component. I miss garrote :-*(.

  10. Lensi, shot down and killed by Wedge.

How many superweapons did Bevel Lemelisk, design and for a bonus point, name them.

World Destroyers, Sun Crusher, Darksaber, Galaxy Gun, Death Star 1/2, the Tarkin (are we still counting that as a super weapon?)

So 6 designs, more if you count the individual ships.

Why did Kar Vaster say to Luke Skywalker that he was "Better than the Jedi of old"?

  11. Kaliyo is an anarchist, what's not to love.

A lot of people are saying she is evil, but it's not that, she just doesn't like authority. It's pretty funny to see her paired with Imperial Agents, whose storyline is based around taking orders from authority (the Empire itself). An ironic and hysterical combination in my opinion.

I too thought it was ironic, until end game. I would say that the theme of authority and the rightness of command is one of the primary ones in the IA story line. So it kinda works as a nice contrast with some of your more "imperial" companions; Temple and Vecter most of all.

  12. Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes

What was unique about Anakin's lightsaber? (son of Han and Leia)

It sported a lambent instead of a crystal, and due to the telepathic mature of some vong biots, it allowed him to hazily sense the Vong.

What are the names of the flagships for the three New republic fleets during the Fall of Coruscant?
