  1. They squandered their chance to return Kira or Scourge in a meaningful way. They need to just kill them or turn them against the Knight, maybe have them working together against the "new emporer". Maybe Kira is over the knight and has settled down with some other guy, had a couple kids, and just wants to get on with her life. BW might as well have killed them. It doesn't make any sense that they didn't show up to fight against Valcorian. If they aren't dead, they would have to be imprisoned (in carbonite even), or the knight would be able to track them down...
  2. They aren't willing to invest the money into having 8 different story lines so that each class can use original companions. At least with Ossus, we got faction specific stories instead of the same one for everyone. There is also an issue of voice actors who can't (or won't) come back to do new dialog.
  3. For PVE, gear still matters (at least for MM FPs, VM/MM Ops). The OP did say he wanted to do both PVE and PVP.
  4. Since Dantooine was a in-lore source of lightsaber crystals, can you add some crystals as purchasable items. Actually, providing schematics for the crystals that you used to be able to reverse engineer, but can't any more, would be really nice.
  5. Obviously they can't. All the credit spammers prove that people can get in the game and say (in chat) anything they want even if Bioware doesn't want them to.
  6. I still think Kira moved on with some other guy and settled down with kids and a minivan. You abandoned her and she isn't ready to forgive you.
  7. Who wants a major revision like the last couple? They'll raise the level cap, which will bring new grinds (eventually since they left some things out last time until month(s) after the release) for a new gear tier, new crew skill schematics, material grade, etc. They'll just raise the level/hps/dmg of ops/fp mobs, so you'll have to grind to get back to where you were before the expansion for doing operations/fps/etc. Maybe they'll trickle out a little more content, a new op with 1 boss months after the release of the expansion and if they have a multi-boss operation that'll be a year+ to get all of them. Also, based on past performance, they'll include numerous game breaking bugs that will take months to fix (or they'll just never bother to fix them)..
  8. Well, since the launcher is a patcher, it'll have to write files to the game folder (which is in program files by default).
  9. The Gree weapons are probably easiest. There are Rakghoul (THORN) ones and also ones from the Nightlife Event (that's yearly now?). If you do KOTFE, you get one, but doing gree/rakghoul is probably faster/easier. The light/dark vendor ones are pretty useless if your alts aren't all the same alignment (do they even have weapons? I thought it was just armor).
  10. If you asked which tank was the worst , that'd be an easy answer... The one you're on. Just like which line is slowest in the grocery store, the one you're in. If you really want a better answer, then you need to ask for specific content. For SM ops, it doesn't matter, all of them are fine. PvP probably is different for ranked vrs unranked and even huttball versus arenas... Also, different people will disagree, again, the one you play is nerfed the most.
  11. I didn't read through all 11 pages of the thread, so maybe this was already covered... Getting useless items (duplicates or earpieces/implants/relics with unusable stats) as a "weekly" reward is very frustrating. At least before, if you got a useless relic, you could upgrade it to a useful relic (if it wasn't 248). I would say that I've gotten something I can't use more often than something I can. If that wasn't on a weekly cycle, it might not be as bad, but doing something once a week and getting nothing useful out of the effort makes doing the grind pointless.
  12. There are several other threads complaining about this, and a dev post saying that is "working as intended". The set bonus from the 252/258 gear is not the same as from the 230-248 gear.
  13. The Cyborg Menace Attack of the Bugs Revenge of the Bugs A New Grind The Bugs Strike Back Return of the Jedi (and various other people/groups that should be long dead) The Bugs Awaken The Last Grind TBD
  14. Romancing any companion is "worth" almost nothing. There is no advantage gained by romancing a companion or having a comp that is your LI. Romancing comps is purely a RP thing, and so really you can "RP romance" any companion you want, whether the writers write in that option or not...
  15. When prices for the crafted item are regularly below what you could get for selling the mats it takes to make that item, the item is priced to low. I never understood why so many people spend time making crafted items, basically for a loss, because they sell for less than what the mats sell for.
  16. The first time for both republic and empire wasn't boring. Story does have some week spots, but isn't worse than most of KotFE/KotET. I can see that it will become boring, probably even before I work up rep or accumulate much new gear. I'd rate it as similar to Oricon. It has mobs that annoyingly agro you when you are just trying to travel around (some with stealth detection, but it is really bad on non-stealthers). It has annoying terrain such that it isn't easy to get around (especially considering the mob agro thing). It does have some interesting scenery and captures the idea of a bombed out world that used to have a Jedi colony pretty well.
  17. There is a difference between accepting and agreeing with an answer. I am curious what the reason for the change was, I might not agree that it was a good idea to do it or that they change doesn't accomplish the stated goal, but I'll accept whatever they say... Right now, it just doesn't make any sense. I accomplishes nothing beyond adding more effort to accomplish something that will just widen the gap between the really hard core players (as in players that can make multiple alts of the same class and have them all do the weeklies) compared to more casual players...
  18. I know people have asked this inside other threads, but I don't think there is a thread specifically to ask this question... So, the 252/258 mods and enhancements are slot locked "intentionally". However, people can still min/max by acquiring different specs of gear for that slot, so that a dps that doesn't want accuracy could just get the dps piece and the healer piece for that slot and use the armoring/mod from the dps piece and the enhancement from the healer piece, or the player could use a lower tier enhancement (crafted or not). Therefore this change just makes it harder/more expensive/longer to min/max your gear, it doesn't stop people from having min/maxed gear. It doesn't stop dps from having 0 accuracy, nor tanks from having dps mods in their gear, or players having different enhancements than what comes with pieces for their class/spec. So, why? Why would they intentionally make a change that doesn't stop anyone from doing something, it just slows them down?
  19. That works fine for the force user classes, a Jedi Counselor is really just a mirror of a Sith Inquisitor (and Knight is Warrior), but the non-force users are very much not mirrors. The Imperial Agent is sort of a mirror for the Trooper (in that they are a government employee) and not so much a mirror of the Smuggler (which is independent of the government). So, if a Smuggler decides to work for the Empire, just plugging them into the Agent storyline wouldn't make any sense. Same for a Bounty Hunter declaring for the Republic (why would the Republic just plug them into their elite special forces unit?)
  20. I've always wanted a Death Star. It's the ultimate weapon as long as you put a grate over that exhaust vent.
  21. Adding another tier of gear before 6.0 and a level cap increase just seems like a total waste of time/effort. Especially having to collect new schematics and mats just to be able to craft the stuff, how does anyone think it is a good idea?
  22. I think Amazon (at least in the US) has an option to buy a game pass that gives like 3 months sub plus CC plus a mount for less than $15 per month. Since online games cost money to host the servers, pay support people (EA support isn't great, but it exists), pay for bandwidth to the servers, and pay developers to fix bugs (or introduce them) and add content, it's a little silly to think everyone can play for free. Are you one of the people that wants others to pay for your entertainment?
