I had started wondering if instead of having the buff on we would need to eat the jerky at specific place and time to get the tauntaun to show up. But i wonder if this one person who said they found it even had the jerky at the time to trigger an event.

There is no way to get down there as when you reach a certain point you just die and respawn.

Its completely random drop. I got one out of a chest on Hoth. The Chest with the 2 baby Wompas and their Mother on top of the mountain where you freeze the water for the magenta quest.

The Wampa cave is at -3520, 88. I haven't seen anyone post the cords for this yet. Just a lot of mention of it.

I've read so many things in this thread But could it be possible that the lost tauntaun at -894,117 will follow you someplace if you have the Jerky buff on? I still can't find any jerky.

If you find someone who can make them on Shadowhand let me know. SilverDragn on Imperial side. Have a few Republic alts though.

As I went to check this place out it was a new discovery on my map which i though was funny as I had previously discovered all of Hoth prior to 1.2 releasing. Just wish I had some some Jerky to test.

I can now confirm that from first infection"Lightheaded" to stage 2 "Feverish" takes 10 minutes. Then 10 minutes till you die. I got infected at 1:23 server time and died at 1:43. So 20 minutes to get 5 DNA samples.

Does the plague start out with the "Lightheaded" debuff and get worst as time goes on? Or is there something else?

Wasn't Taris the original planet of the rakghoul plague?
