  1. Will you comment on this scenario? I am LVL 47. I got LVL 40 PVP for myself and companion (yeah I know now I wasted my Comms to top that I bought some LVL 50 stuff because I misread your OP). Should I? 1. Remod the PVP stuff? or 2. Buy more Lvl 50 orange and MC purples, then mod them? I thought the higher level stuff has a higher "base" armor rating, so when I saw a MC purple @lvl50 for like 25k I bought it. Then I saw a Lvl 50 Orange with Aug, for like 10k I bought it and felt happy. Now....not so much, especially if you tell me the LVL 40 PVP would have been sufficient.

  3. +1 Needed to follow this one. I am lvl 47 and just bought some lvl 50 mastercraft, and lvl 50 orange with augments at the AH, so I can hit the ground running in route to my BM gear. I guess my questions is: 1. Is orange > champ? Looks like you guys are saying they are about =..... 2. Should you even bother buying champ bags after you fill your empty slots with champ gear? 3. Should BM be the goal or should Rakata (fill empty slots with champ gear and go raid?) I don't raid, but the Rakata Gear should be a bit better in PvP by the logic you use. Correct?
  4. How do you do that though w/o changing the interface? I mean I quest and play PvP simultaneously. I don't want to have to switch all the damn time. I am just sick of these crybabies saying stuff is unfair. I get my arce handed to me daily in PvP, but I still play and enjoy it. Soon I will have BM stuff then I can wreck some peeps, BUT YOU HAVE TO PLAY TO GET IT....
  5. :-) Exactly... SHEET!!!! Why not just give everyone BM gear when they hit 50. LOLZ
  6. +1 This was my point. "you're basically spending 100% of your time fighting for your life."
  7. So a Cham lvl sage is still at a disadvantage to a Champ lvl Maurader... That's my point..... I would not argue that a Cham lvl should pimp me, but since my side has some lvl 11 players, I assume the Sith does as well and have never seen my stuff go over 2k tops.... and thats stretching it a bit. Even if I were on their level my effectiveness would multiply, but so would their..... See we just did a big circle... Pound for pound, the other classes will have higher damage output by 2x or more so how can we be overpowered? [EDIT] and worthy of a nerf??????
  8. :-P It all scales, especially in PvP where level 11 does about as much output as my level (which is really sucks btw). Apples to apples, gear to gear, level to level Sages don't DPS very well when compared to others. I don't think 3 levels are going to make much of a difference to my tools available. Head to head, I should lose just about every time. If you think so the tell me how since IDK, until then get that level 50 leet crap out of here...
  9. Seriously? We sages are the most underpowered class when it comes to PvP. We specialize in trying to beat the odds because quite frankly we have no DPS skills and use those other skills you talk about to be annoying, and that us why drives me to play PvP. If you look at our damage output in a given instance, its laughable. Im lvl 47 and my max output on a 1v1 basis with no stims/adre is about 1k and most of those attacks have CD's in the range of 2-10 sec. Our other tools is to "fend" you off, so our stuff cools down. Yeah I love my no cast time force lift(with 2sec stun), my force stun, because it only exist to slow you down (as both have 90Sec+ CD), not stop you. Tell me the average DPS stat.... probably double this amount? Anyone disagree? Over a match that adds up to more kills unless you are trapped by multiple peeps... Put the nerf bat away son....
  10. Does the purple mean I can't reverse engineer it any further?: As far as I have seen, once you get to "Superior" items there is no further levels that can be obtained via RE. Now that is saying you have opened all of the "Superior" items as there are 14 more Prefix tages available from crafting blue Nano-Optic items. Here is the best link for this type of info. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=258426 Also, is it possible to craft this item with an open aug slot?: That is correct. If you continue to craft Ednowment items eventually you will critically craft one which will have an augment slot.
  11. You got it!!! Peeps are feeling like they are being screwed over because of this, but Bio still has a decided advantage...
  12. Cmon!!! Stims MAYBE because you don't really worry about consuming too many at once, Once again I must explain this with a question....How can you quantify infinite? There is no way to correctly compare a 12% finite gain to infinite. I am not saying it made sense, but it is a way to limit BioChem's advantage somewhat. It's still personal preference. Craft/pay for Exotech or Craft a Rakata/live with the SLIGHT decrease/never pay or craft again (or for the forseable future). If you think 12% will make a difference on something you can use every 90/180 sec (which I argue is not that relevant at high levels), then go exotech, but be prepared to pay or craft for it, that's all.
  13. Personally, I have had more success with 5+ on the greens, 20+ on blues than rolling 1 at a time, but that is because I don't mind the waste, I just want the schem, on a few tries.
  14. I wish there were a change made by the dev so we don't waste as much time REing stuff only to get "you already know this schematic" notice. The whole point in RE the same base item after you learned a t1/t2 schematic is to learn a new one of the same tier... UH!!!! I just want my Supremecy stuff man and have wasted plenty O' dollars so far to do it. It is bad enough that the returned materials are VERY, VERY low amounts.... Frustrating....
  15. Can you RE the exotech stuff? It is a blue item after all... I have not gotten any exotech schems yet...
  16. I was really refering to non-bio folks. It will fetch a premium.... [EDIT] I was just expounding to the OP that this just strengthens the BioChem position as the better profession....
  17. And also pay through the nose for it. Plus if I want exotech, I craft them for myself(for personal use) and to sell.... To each his own, but I would not leave Biochem. [EDIT] BTW, I was wondering though. Can you reverse engineer a Exotech item? I have not seen any metion of this, but since this is a blue item, game logic would say there is a schematic for a purple.....
  18. Not quite, the Exotech's now have an edge on the Rakata. The Rakata was dropped to Energized levels. As I see it, it is about 12% lower yields than the Exotech, but the reusable tag still reigns supreme imo...
  19. Disagree.... Until the reusables are significantly nerfed (say a level 50 nerfed to lvl 25 yields) the reusables still and always will have more value. Do you value a 12% yield increase versus infinite use is the question?
  20. That's correct as far as I know, not dropping the bio requirement on reusables..
  21. They are or will be about the same. Reusable, HP gain of 3.5k to 4.5k. the only real "perk" of the Rakata is the 15% max HP boost so if you hit one then heal yourself then you "HP" is higher for a moment. Don't know if you need a rakata now the ultimate might be just as good...
