  1. I love how the QQing people either say- "This isn't enough of a traditional MMO! It's just single-player where you can interact with others!" "This game is too much like a traditional MMO! It should be less like WoW and more like SWG's sandbox style!"
  2. I am on the Imperial side, on Dromund Kaas on my BH, hit up Cragg when you see him running around.
  3. I will try to create an OOC channel for organizing Roleplay. So I had an idea, basically it is using channels to simulate IC channels for guilds, Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunters, Imperials, Reps, etc. It could help organize RP OOC and IC. And with SW tech, it is feasible that they have communicators.
  4. Well of course, there is no denying that. I was just thinking that the label/idea of super servers should be dropped, because that would inevitably result in bringing in the majority of the roleplayers, leaving nothing for the others servers. What should happen is that we organize RP across all of the servers, at least proportionally, rather than just encouraging growth on any few servers.
  5. Wait, you can come up behind a boss and shoot him in the face? Is his face on the back of his head? Does your arrow go over the boss's head and hit his face? I'd love to see how this is possible.
  6. Ever since the invention of the microwave, the human attention span has been further and further reduced and shrunken. Until now...
  7. Yes, but would pulling together as you would suggest result in 2-3 active RP servers and all the others being dead? If you've RPed on WoW before, you know what I am talking about. We should be pulling together on the forums, chatting on how to keep RP alive and ideas for RP characters and events, and prevent ourselves from "factioning" based on what server we are on.
  8. Well, I suppose if you are RPing as a random hobo with no money or power, then it'd be a bit silly, but I am sure we will have people RPing some somewhat important people, maybe not quite senators, but maybe diplomats or just rich guys with senatorial influence. That said, I am mostly imagining political plots and schemes being formulated there. Plots and schemes that I am sure no Jedi Knight/Normal Soldier/Everyday Smuggler would be involved in.
  9. I kind of agree with the previous poster, I don't think that somehow, for whatever reason gathering all of the RPers on one/two servers is the solution. That's what happened in World of Warcraft, where you really had RP on either, 1. Moon Guard or 2. Wyrmrest Accord, and if you didn't choose on of those servers, no matter how densely populated they are, you are pretty much going to be alone in the RP. There are enough RPers to fill the RP servers, we just need to make it easy to engage in RP, walk around instead of running, talk in Cantinas, all that stuff. All it really takes is to pique some peoples' interest to start RP. Just my 2 cents. Edit: Not that I am saying that the conversation needs to stop, it's good to organize RP regardless of your server of choice, but what I've gotten from the thread is that there is this idea that there needs to be a couple of "RP refuges" instead of spreading it out over different RP servers.
  10. Well, it's the traditional MMO system of a bunch of mobs that you must slay. In RP, I didn't kill all of those guys, I just RP that I didn't even encounter them, instead I just snuck past them. But of course, for the sake of the game, I just kill the ones in my way and/or the ones that I need for quests. By establishing a clear line between OOC and IC play, it makes silly and quite honestly dumb situations like these more easily ignored.
  11. Species/Race: Human (Some technological implants, not enough to be considered a Cyborg) Name: Craig Middle Name: N/A Last Name: Martel Nickname: Cragg Gender: Male Date of Birth: (WIP) Place of Birth: Corellia Age: 21 Height: 5' 5" Weight: 132 Hair Color/Style: Short Facial Appearance: Somewhat elongated with a small scar on his chin Eye Color: Brown Body Appearance: Small and skinny Home Planet: Corellia Current Residence: Nar Shadaa Allegiance: Himself Profession: Bounty Hunter Armor/Clothes: Heavy Bounty Hunter armor, only with lighter tones (imagine Boba/Jango Fett, but give him some lighter colors like peach and a light yellow) Primary Weapon(s): Twin blaster pistols Secondary Weapon(s): Rocket Launcher Miscellaneous Item(s): Huttese Gutting Knife Biography: A small, skinny Bounty Hunter with a heart of credits. He is small and skinny, but is known for his ability to take a beating and get right back up. This has made him invaluable as a Bounty Hunter who won't squeal if caught. He stands by his principles, that is, the principle that if he wasn't asked to kill a man, he won't, but if he was paid to kill a man, regardless of what he's offered, he will. He was born on Corellia, but his parents owed a serious debt to Sulda the Hutt, a vicious Hutt crime lord on Hutta. He was offered to Sulda the Hutt in exchange for canceling the debt, and Cragg, at age 14, was sold into slavery. However, a foolhardy gamble on Sulda's part resulted in all of his land, his city, and his slaves, including Cragg, to a slave driver near Jiguuta, who Cragg killed. Now he is a Bounty Hunter, who is known for getting the job done, nothing more, nothing less. He was rejected a position in the Great Hunt, and now spends his time traveling the galaxy taking out small-time lowlifes in hopes of establishing a reputation.
  12. I joined due to it's standard population, and I am a Bounty Hunter named Cragg, the smallest big shot in the galaxy. I'd love some RP on Hutta if you feel lonely.
  13. I personally like Fort Garnik for Republic characters, I could imagine it'd be a good place to organize military-type RP. And the senate tower could be used for politics and making deals behind other politicans' backs.
  14. Note: Hello everyone! This is a fan fiction written by me, from the point of view of my Trooper, Guildrum. This will be the story of rebuilding Havoc Squad, and it follows the Trooper story until Coruscant, where I focus on different areas of the story rather than the whole thing. I hope you enjoy it! Prologue- Seeds of Hatred A lone trooper stood in front of five others, all in their signature orange-and-white gear. Behind them loomed a large “So that's it? Just like that” “You must understand Guildrum, we are not needed, not wanted anymore... The government has no further use from us.” “So the minute you are not appreciated, you turn with your tail between your legs and scurry on back to the Empire?” “Whatever they may say, the Republic does not believe they can fight another war against the Empire. Every Havoc Squad victory fires up the peoples' imaginations, the bureaucrats-” “Damn the bureaucrats Tavus! Damn them all!” “Exactly what we plan to do Guildrum. If you had been with us longer, maybe you would understand.” And turning on his heels, with the rest of Havoc Squad in tow, Tavus walked to the plank onto the Imperial transport. “It has been an honor serving you.” “I won't let you go that easy!” Screamed Guildrum, and in a fit of rage, he lifted his carbine up to the deserting soldiers. “Come back down, or I will kill you all!” But just as he finished, two Imperial troopers and a scrawny-looking officer walked up to Guildrum, the last loyal member of Havoc Squad. “Drop your weapons or-”. He was dead before he could speak, a hole through his temples. As the soldiers recouped from the quick death of their commander, the transport lifeted into the air dramatically, and turned, and in a quick second, was gone into the atmosphere. End of Prologue (Don't worry, the chapters themselves will be much longer. )
  15. I dunno. I mean, a bunch of the quests are class-only, as well as the main story lines that are intended to bring you onto the non-class-only quests.
  16. The Jawa is a Trooper. Love it!
  17. That explains why there was so much peace. No players!
  18. She'd have your head on a pike... Yeah, a pike, they'd make on specifically to put your head on it.
  19. "If there is a center of light in the Galaxy, you are furthest from it". "A small, out of the way planet"... That has been featured in almost every single Star Wars game to date. I have a question, if Tatooine is such an insignificant, out-of-the way planet, why is it that it has receieved so much attention in Star Wars games in general?
  20. Try to find a king of the Hutts. There are none, it's a Hutt-eat-Hutt world. No Hutt Lord really has authority over another, at least not technically.
  21. I am thinking either Incognito or Nostaw as my legacy.
  22. More realistic than chat only appearing in small letters in the upper- left hand corner of your vision. Until games convert text to voice, it will be rather immersion-breaking and unrealistic. At least let's make it obvious eh? Anyways, they had to feed the Body Type 4 characters something to get them to their size.
  23. He looks oddly happy while in a bloodlust at the same time. Excellent job!
