  3. cross server would be good. and LIGHTWEIGHT matchmaking that didn't slow down queues too much would be nice, but I think it's better to have imbalanced, fast pops, than to have slow, balanced pops (how balanced are they really gonna be, anyways?)
  4. Huh? I only do warzone pvp most days and haven't noticed anyone moving too quickly or w/e. Can you clarify what people are doing? Are you sure its not a L2P issue?
  5. I agree with you to an extent, but I think the matchmaking algorithm should only PRIORITIZE assigning premades against other premades, rather than forcing it and making players wait. There are 2 truths to MMO arena style pvp games: 1. premades MUST be allowed to queue against the general population, or else a lot of people simply won't participate (and you need max participation). premade vs. premade ONLY is no different from ranked arena, and historically a much smaller subset of the mmo-pvp populations choose to play in these game modes. Probably because it's too social, too intense, too exclusive, etc. 2. games must pop quickly for everyone, or else a lot of people simply won't play. This requires somewhat looser matching restrictions, sometimes resulting in imbalanced games. This is only rectified via larger populations, giving the matching system more options to play with (i.e. cross server queueing, anyone?). That said, you win some, lose some. People need to stop being so upset about losing. Learn from it, practice pressing your buttons in the right order, and find something positive to take away from the experience. If the population is so dead that you literally face the same team over and over, then your game has bigger problems.

  7. Secret World is made by Funcom, which means it will be a broken piece of crap. For such a seasoned MMO vet, I would think you'd know this.

  9. Ilum was terrible even before they removed the boxes/kill quests. World PvP needs self balancing mechanics since nobody can controll population imbalances. In most games, they have you attack a keep/castle or something. The keep has powerful NPCs inside to aid the defenders. This means the weaker faction can hide in their keep taking pot-shots at the attackers. Wow gave bolstering buffs. Point is, you need something to keep it interesting for the smaller side.

  12. Try refraining from the rhetorical questions and giving me some facts then. All I'm hearing is that an MMO can't handle 50 ppl in the same zone? Even though we know thats not true... Oh wait, but they're dueling, thats different!!!
  13. 50+ people dueling (which you'd never see) wouldn't generate signifigant server lag. I can only assume you're worried about your own crappy client. Anyways, your own argument of how "nobody wants this" is negated by several people in this thread already, so we both know you're basically just wrong, and trolling. eff off already.
  14. OK dude, you can shout down ppl asking for SIMPLE CHANGES that would help insure the longevity of this game, but I'm not sure what you hope to gain? Anyways, if your only reason for asking for BW continue hindering ppl's access to dueling is because it will lag you out, then your internet connection must suck. That or your CPU sucks and can't handle the extra load (which isn't actually lag, yes I got it...) But lets face it, all you're really saying here is that YOUR complaints (probably nerf marauders or some nonsense) are more urgent and therefor what I'm asking for is invalid... GOT IT. THX.
  15. OK, where should everyone go? Feel free to decide and get everyone on the same page for me. Or is it now my job to be a in-game herald, announcing my own player-made dueling area? Give me a break. Put the kool-aid down.
  16. LOL lag? Upgrade from you P4 dude. Anyways, if they don't want to put dueling on the fleet, then make us a pvp hub elsewhere, with all ammenities (pvp vendors, GTM, mailboxes, etc). Honestly, just allowing dueling on the fleet is the best solution.
  17. Wrong. People being bored = people not playing. How do pvp'ers combat boredom when we're basically sitting around the fleet waiting for wz pops (because thats LITERALLY the only pvp content)? Dueling would be the answer. Currently however, it's log out and play another game.
  18. 1) Enable dueling in the fleet. 2) Create some meaningful, objective-based world pvp (preferably with some sort of self-balancing mechanic) 3) Enable cross-server queuing for wz's (for faster queues, better match-making, and greater diversity of opponents) 4) Add about 5+ wz maps Basically I am just asking for the pvp content to be brought up to 2005 standards...
  19. LOL healers are not even needed. Show me a good balanced team with healers, and I can show you a full team of focus firing dps that can beat you. Play the class that suits your playstyle, not the class the suits your vanity... because really, it doesn't matter.
  20. Most people that I know of that are quitting, are doing so because there is so little PvP content. Who gives a crap about class balance when the only place to measure it is in their 4 little minigames.
  21. Keep it up, you're helping prevent nerfs by keeping the meta-data averages down.
