  1. It's great fun in my opinion. I don't do as much DPS yet as I'm a new 50 and haven't started gathering the real cool gear yet, but grab a healer and you'll endure a full enemy group laying it on you while taunting away their damage and disrupting them with interrupts and stuns. It's easy to gather lots of medals and you can turn the tide of the battle by using your skills correctly.
  2. And to the OP: I agree. This game is awesome
  3. Giggles! I don't think there are undercover Bioware employees. Some of us who love this game and the company behind it have followed Bioware for many years though, so we will step up and support it when we see them taking lots of undeserved heat.
  4. Agree completely with what you say. I can't understand the drama and rage caused by some elements on the forums here. Then again I guess it is a result of our "Generation NOW" that if something doesn't work perfectly for them from the get-go the go-to reaction is to whine, cry and complain about it till someone gets annoyed enough to fix it.. Patience is a virtue that's apparently forgotten. And all of you who are gonna reply with: "But I paid 60 euros for this game, do what I say goddamnit", I paid 60 euros for it too, you don't see me crying in a corner. If the servers are down for maintenance, go get fresh air, get some sleep, whatever. I know I've been sleep deprived since release . If your quest is bugged, do other quests while they fix it.. Bioware has always been a strong and solid company and I have every faith in them taking your problem seriously without you crying about it every 5 minutes. If your class is underpowered, learn to work around it.. Only harm that will come from that is you become a better player from understanding your class better.. But we can't have that, can we? Sorry, there may be a little hostility between the lines in this post, I do get tired of watching people bash the game I love every minute of every day just because they are angry/frustrated people though. Cheers to Bioware!
  5. Last week I did have a day off during the maintenance window, but upgrades happen. There is no point raging over it, especially in a game this recently released. For christs sake guys.. People are so dramatical about everything in these forums these days.. Starting to think I should just play my game and not come to the forums so I won't be encumbered with the opinions of angry/frustrated minds every day. People need to take a chill pill and realise that this is the first months after release, they are doing the maintenance/patching for our sake so we get the most fullfillment from the game possible.. People need to chill out and cut them some slack.
  6. The update times were set as they are in order to provide ALL users with the same content(and upgrades) at the same time. They did this for the user, not for their own convenience. 8am - 4pm is when people normally go to work, and it's reported as outside of peak hours for SWTOR. So even if you are at home and ready to play during that time, most users are not, again, a choice made to fit the user. You will not experience a time where nobody is playing, I'm on a european server and I meet people there all times of the day(I work shifts, so I have random play times). What they are doing is trying to be fair to ALL by providing the same content at the same time, a time with low user amounts. You are complaining because this time does not suit YOU, well, if they aimed to suit every player there would never be a time that fit.
  7. I'm playing a 50 jug as my main, immortal spec. It is not easy, but to me at least, easy has never been synonymous with entertainment. I am loving this class, I am loving tanking with this class, and I am loving pvp'ing with this class. You won't have the highest DPS, you're a tank. You won't have the most kills, you're a tank. You will have an easier time finding groups, and making friends(everybody loves a quality tank.), and you will have great fun playing it if you can get over the fact that some other classes have it easier. In my opinion this is the perfect class for ex-"classic" tanks that want a challenge in a ranged universe. It's fun, challenging, and used right the juggernaut definitely holds his own against other classes. I will be using this juggernaut as our raid main tank simply because it's a quality class and the CDs put both assassin and powertech CDs to shame. You will read LOTS of QQ in these forums though, both in this section and in many more. Mostly these are from people that love to complain. In our generation now that's going on, that personality trait is far too common.
  8. Thing with this fight was simple, save interrupts for whenever he casts, use a ranged dps companion(Vette) so the DPS is higher. You lose heals, but the encounter doesn't last as long. Burn him down by the time you've used all your interrupts and you're home safe.
  9. Well, one could also look at Anakin, both then and the days before that fight. He had lost everything he believed in, was plagued by nightmares and had just killed off a temple full of apprentices and children. Before this Anakin was mostly untouched by the dark side, other than a few lapses into rage(That incident with the sand people and his fight against Dooku). It is safe to assume that the emotions he now let himself fully submerge to were very conflicted about fighting his "brother", as they experienced each other. It might be that Anakin was fighting Obi-Wan to fight, not to kill. As for Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan one could also take a psychological approach to it.(Applying psychology to fiction is apparently one of my favourite past-times). Darth Maul killed the master, the apprentice was at the verge of death, and Maul's taunting showed he felt both superiour and safe. While Obi-Wan had just witnessed his Masters death and had nowhere to run, excluding the "flight" option from the "fight or flight" syndrome. Besides, seriously.. Who would anticipate that move?
  10. Just to weigh in, I recently read an article about faster-than-light particles from CERN. If nobody has conclusively disproved these results yet, that means Einstein was wrong and FTL travel is possible. http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/second-experiment-confirms-faster-than-light-particles/2011/11/17/gIQAlRlTWN_story.html For Einstein's rule to work FTL can not be possible for anything. If neutrinos can do it, why can't we? According to Einstein, mass is irrelevant.
  11. Obi-Wan was on a higher ledge. This gives a temp buff with 100% chance of dismemberment.
  12. I agree completely, this should be a viable argument in raids. "Powertechs have better AoE control", yeah, but we look sexy as hell, let the powertech offtank and enjoy the show.
  13. Sweeping slash a rage builder + high threat build would make us way overpowered, there's no way they could do that and get away with it. Target of target should already be possible to hotkey, I've seen it in keybindings.
