  1. nah you get to choose between few (or at least 2) lightsabers and what stats they have.... ....and it will be evil for the devs to base it on gameplay since I won't consider it:)
  2. ....really...you think somebody being immortal makes them invincible:) Here is the scene (29+) in the ship after the battle the female one tells you that ''you didn't have a pulse at first, but then whats-his-name noticed that you are warm''....which while yes - it can mean that you were not truly dead, it also can mean that you were and they found you just as the ghosts we ressurecting you... ...same as Thanaton and knowling about your binding ghosts...you are assuming he doesn't know and we can't be sure:) Edit: why do you think ghosts make you tougher btw? To me it seems that they actually make you weaker (at least physically) and the SI's toughness come from the mother machine... Edit 2 because I apparently can't spell pulse:D
  3. Ah I see....make sense that sacrifice is DS in this case....
  4. Eh the options had light/dark points associated with them? Please say ''no'' since resilience sounds perfect for my DS Warrior:) ...btw why is sacrifice - dark? And....now I am afraid of sounding simple but...it is as my character said when I picked it ''there is no limit to what I can do/achieve'' or something like that:) ....basically my SI with her ghost binding ritual believe she is the next Vitiate? Edit: Or it might be the option ''I very much like to become a pawn to Valkorion now!'' since that is what he is trying to teach us the whole time:)
  5. That is incorrect...or at least the first part - SI indeed might not survive beheading....Thanaton kills your SI early in the game (the 2 apprentices that you got after dealing with Zash tell how you weren't breathing...and Thanaton thought you were a corpse and I doubt he made a mistake)....it is what drove you on the path to bind force ghosts for more power....ofcourse you later learn you kinda screw yourself binding more than 1 but.... Anyway as long as you have force ghosts they can ressurect you once you are dead....so I was expecting ''huh neat...ofcourse I am alive after impaling...'' after your second fight with Arcann....but Kotfe is really not for our Inquisitors:) Although to be fair that "My son struck a killing blow against you. Had I not interfered, you would be dead." can still be true even for SI that kept the ghosts....Valkorion could simply have a way to...banish them and thus he was the reason you survived....telling the truth in a really twisted way since he is the reason you were about to die in the first place:) Edit: Just realised that Valkorion might have seen the future where he doesn't give you power in that fight and means this...but then again you wouldn't know if he is not lying since he kinda distract you allowing Arcann to use the Force to pull you into his lightsaber:)
  6. Yea it was pretty disappointing...with the exception of how the chapter ended (I went with Kaliyo) and Jorgan(?) disobeying our orders (I love it when I am correct!) this chapter was a let down...as far as I saw my SI never could try to bind Marr's spirit.... ....sorry got offtopic:) Edit: oh it will be great if they introduce 2 paths with how they link cutscenes with the battles....it is annoying when my sorceress heal whatever they can throw at her and stays at nice health (70%+ ) just to move to cutscene and whatever we are fighting tell us how pathetic we are...or funny I guess:)
  7. KotFE chapter 3 is when you wake up...so you should start it as soon as you end chapter 2:) If it doesn't start automatically...I don't know....try resetting your quest or instance if you can or file a bug report if that doesn't work....but try to exit and log in again just to be sure it wasn't something that can fix itself....
  8. Keep in mind that although SWTOR can be played solo it is still an MMO. You don't necessarily get what you want/can use from random drops (I think the HCs/FPs rewards are different...they are for your class). Btw you can still use the skins if you like them even if your class can't wear a particular item (ex - heavy armor on sage) with the outfit designer. I will let you to figure out how it works as it's pretty simple (please note that it is somewhat expensive (in ingame credits) ...). As I said there is no need to change how drops work as it is an MMO. And the rewards in FPs and HCs are for your class... Hmm I have to say ''keep them as it is'' because datacroms are something optional. As long as they are not/the jumping is not part of the main game your frustration doesn't matter I am afraid, because it was something you choose to do:) There is too much xp you are right...although I suspect you did a little grinding to get to 65 so fast:D Unless they have changed it very recently you are downlevelled to the planet's max level.....you begin to meet mobs your level when you are in the appropriate area... You are wrong (mostly): the power of the downgraded high levels come not from the added abilities, but from all the...procs (you know ''if you use this ability your next [such ability] will do double damage or have +25 crit chance or something).... ...and the levels you have above the mobs: you seem to get +defense vs mobs that are lower level than you - why when before they introduced level synch one or few high levels could solo stuff they weren't suppose to. Mind that this doesn't work on special abilities, but as mobs mainly use standard attack it is very noticeable. (notice that your level 19 char will dodge/parry alot vs level 10 mobs) Can you elaborate further? Hmm I suppose such system can be fun for some...but on the other hand that they don't scale down the game if you are bad player is a good thing, isn't it. That way you are forced to learn your class better/ play better and that is good thing! As I said SWTOR is still a MMO game, you will eventually have to play with other players (FPs or HCs) and....while some lack of knowing all the ins and outs of your class is ok and can be expected, please don't be the guy/girl that don't know anything (to the point of actually making the FP harder for the rest of the party) and expect me to teach him/her....you will be kicked:D
  9. If you can check/ have the pc checked for some hardware gone wrong....you can also use programs to see if something is not overheating (like ''core temp'' for your cpu), but I am far from expert so I will leave the technical side to other people...or google if you have the patience to research yourself:) I am going right for the hardware issue as few months back I couldn't start one of the expansions because of black screen and when I finally took the pc to be fixed it turned out that the video card was just overheating and I needed new one:) ....well good luck and I hope it's software problem in your case as these are cheaper to solve:D
  10. ...ugh I am not sure if troll bait or not... ....anyway to answer you somewhat - yes you are right that in vanilla game they handled our romances badly, as (if I am not horribly mistaken) in most you needed only be polite and nice to someone to make the game think you were interested in them and start the romance. Thankfully from what I have seen in SoR and KoTFE this is not the case and you actually need to select the [flirt] option for the above to happen...? ....feel free to correct me if that actually is not the case:) Edit: on the other hand I guess there is a realism in someone who likes you like that, twisting what you are saying and getting the wrong thing from it.... ...I think this was the case with my JC and Iresso (it was long time ago) - if you continue to be polite to him, even without taking a single flirt option, it will inevitably lead to kiss....and as my JC was such a person to be always polite....
  11. I somewhat agree with you that this is good direction to be taken (although I can't see why the herosexual NPCs are bad...but I don't mind too much when/if they are all with their own orientation), but SWTOR before SoR they handled them horribly. It is nice if the npc say ''no'', but allow us to flirt or try to flirt with them. If I remember correctly this was how it was done in ME3.... I admit I don't understand what you are trying to say here:) As far as I know Andronikos or most of the vanilla romances never said whether he/she were straight or not. We were just prevented to try anything other than f/m... ...anyway to answer the OP's question: I hope we are able to try romancing her - again if she turn us down that will be fine, but having not romanced her ( and therefore I might be missing info) she never talked (the codex never talked) about her sexuality, so it might go both ways when/if we actually flirt with her as female char. But I am more concerned that if she doesn't have her own chapter (and presumably being part of further chapters down the line) she will....either be very briefly romanceable / not at all or maybe be romanceable only for male SW that had previous romance with her going on....
  12. I thought that was what we were doing during the chapter...but I didn't pay too much attention so I might have misunderstood:) Edit: Now that you mentioned it (and if I remember correctly) the next chapter we are doing some ''daring attack' vs the eternal empire'' in which case it make sense...and I hope I can kill the one that proposed such a silly idea....and bash my head in case that was me, because we can't even beat Arcann and he is certainly not the thing we actually must fear, but the technologically advanced fleet and droids and stuff..../sigh ...oh well it will be interesting to see how we drag our bloody body back at least....
  13. I hope I am wrong, but I am afraid you are expecting too much from the SWTOR team...so far we have had a linear story with some minor branching that we can effect, but nothing big. Big as in - our non force users going through KoFE have very different time to our force users. By that I don't mean they should feel useless - god no....all our non force users are people that can bring alot to the table...even if not the battle prowess the SW/JK/SI/JC can. Unfortunately the devs chose (and I am not necessarily blaming them - maybe what I am thinking is too much work) to go with ''one story fits all'' approach with only minor differences here and there... ....anyway my point is - being prevented of doing/taking a bad choice is still bad storytelling on their path and I am afraid goes against the ''choices matter'' theme(?) that they are trying to sell... So what if my SI killing Jorgan at the end of chapter11 is bad thing...yes maybe we need him/his team and at critical point he/someone on his team betrays us....that will be great! That will show us that choices have consequences. Try not to shoehorn us into very specific roles....especially when previously you had given us much more broad range of actions. It's understandable and it most likely makes your job much easier, but....still leave a bad taste I guess... Anyway I am tempted to ask you this: why are you expecting that Jorgan will play a...vital? role in the future?
  14. Actually it make sense for Lana (and Theron after some persuasion) to let the fate of the galaxy rests with an unhinged, completely bonkers and pure darkside sith lord, IF she believes she can use them for her purposes and then discard them. She have already showed that she is willing to do whatever it takes if it means meeting her goals (if that phrase means what I think it does...if not - oops:D ) ...as for the last chapter and I am more worried about the new chapter and the fight you seem to have with Valkorion and how a JK was shown....which is nice, but I am afraid the devs will forget that the other classes have different fighting styles and abilities/strengths (I will love it if my SI at least attempt to use her knowledge of force ghosts to give herself an advantage....same case with JC - it would be great if he/she managed to hold Valkorion's lightning a few secs more than our other force users:)
  15. Haha that... Actually (although I see how it can be annoying for others) that was pretty good for my SI, since if some fool want to fight her battles for her and possibly die...well...doesn't really bother her. Mind you I would have preferred for her to just stand there bored, blocking the blaster bolts with a barrier.... ...but on the other hand I see how a JK/SW might want to jump into the fray and take care of the enemy him/herself....not to mention prevent as much injuries to their side as they can. ...maybe they could have given us a dialogue tree with which we choose how to react (and the actions take notice of your class), but I understand why they chose to simply make us hide behind a crate:) PS: don't forget when you are discussing the power level of the SI that he/she have to oppose a dark council member alot sooner than the rest of our force users. In fact I suspect that if he/she didn't meet (and had to find a way to survive) Thanaton so early the SI's story might have been quite different...maybe he/she wouldn't have made the mistake of binding more than 1 ghost, especially if not ready.... + to me it looked like the final scene where the SI resist whatever Thanaton could throw at her/him was more to make a point and humiliate Thanaton and not simply overpowering him...
  16. /sigh I am well aware how stats work, but as the above poster I don't think you want to understand me...I am not talking about some ''perfect'' party with tank and healer, but normal tactical (4 dps if you don't cancel queues to find party with tank/healer or both) where everyone will be expected to do some partial tanking and do a little more than his role and not using all/most of his/her abilities...but well...whatever. Maybe I shouldn't have used the example where I was tank....
  17. If that is how you want to play that is how you want to play...and hope to never party with you...
  18. Ah since we are giving tips let me too: (this is for all classes btw) get some defense. 10% works (you start with 5%) - that doesn't have to come from tank gear...the mods (when you modify your armor) can give +defense while not giving + shield/absorb that is useless stat for non tanks... ...you don't have to ofcourse but...well...please do...don't be that dps that I (as tank) leave to take care of the normal/silver only to turn around and find you almost dead in few seconds:)
  19. Amusing with the guild joining.....and especially the healer who joined and quitted on a whim (or must have realised what a horrible idea joining so randomly is)... ...btw the OP might have really been dps, but just haven't played 4.0+ (as 4.0 replaces SM flashpoints with tacticals) so he thought that queueing as healer will be faster. I have met few such people and I just remind them that with tacticals it doesn't matter what you queue as as it just pick the first 4 people that come.....speaking of which you were pretty lucky to have had not one, but 2 tanks for FP:)
  20. I only know about that instance where your....no actually I may be lying....not completely sure. I think when Lana is filling your character about what happened while you were asleep/frozen (when you are getting water) I think that if you are SI Lana talks about your fleet with your silencers....but I am too lazy to go youtube searching for the scene and be 100% sure:)
  21. When you can go to cover to make sure that is what is changing your abilities and not a bug, but if that is your culprit you have a choice - you can either use it as the above poster said or there is an option in preferences (sorry I can't be specific - away from the PC that can run SWTOR) that prevents the change when going into cover....
  22. Yorioko I won't quote you as I am sure you will want to edit your post (if you don't - shame on you:) ), but SWTOR is....no, actually it doesn't matter what it is. What is important is that you can't tell people what they find fun. You said that the most fun you had was when you played your class story with another char? That's great....it really is. Personally I find such a situation to be hell...and there is great chance the other person with me will end up hating me also. I often use the ESC key to cancel the conversation and choose different response to the NPC (for whatever reason) so I imagine playing with me will be pretty boring....I also like to ''smell the roses'' as I go...something not alot of people share I imagine:) What I find discouraging is when people don't talk in PUGs, but even then I try not to judge too harshly as they might simply had a bad day and don't care to be polite or maybe are scared that if they talk we will bite their head off or something else....why I have habit of saying tactics before hard boss...or why I like saying ''hi/hello'' at the start and hope the rest will follow... ...so....I don't know....I guess you are kinda right in that people might want to leave their comfort zone, because they may end up having fun in the new environment, but....edit your post:) Don't go telling/critiquing people with post full of mistakes... ...sorry to be harsh:)
  23. Pretty much this... ...but if you are bored with your sin and want to try something else, might I suggest madness sorcerer? It is a dps discipline, but as alot of your dps comes from your dots (damage over time) attacks he/she have the time to throw a heal or two if he/she wants....that is on top of having great long lasting CC. ...and as you said they can pull people which is always nice and funny to do:) (apart from the obvious use of pulling someone who is falling you can help these of us that can't jump:) ) Or you might want to give a marauder a go as they can give 10% defense ever 30 secs and have a blind if someone else is in trouble....and a great damage output ofcourse...tho I wouldn't call them a support character, but they are not just a dps machine (which sadly is how alot of people play them as....actually please create one just to have mrd that do something more than dps:) )....oh and I forgot that they have great CC which only works on droids... ...merceneries have instant cast heal that is good for when someone is dying and you heal them and make the healer's day (I hate when someone is dying and doesn't use DCD or medpak to give me the 0.5 sec my heal spell need to finish casting and save him/her...) ....or the repiblic equivalent, but they are pretty much the same classes:) ....or if you really want to support and do no/little damage you can go with healer discipline...
  24. As far as I see the chapters and your base (which include the optional chars like Xalek and others) are two different beasts:) I am hoping in the future how much you have developed your base effect whatever you are doing in the chapters, but so far it doesn't... ....or have I misunderstood your question?
  25. ...and the dark side leads to power and then how the **** will Senya throw our force users around?! sorry about that... About the topic - I think you are overthinking it...it sounds more like 'out of sight, out of mind' and that Vaylin considers her being out of her life as good as her being dead....which frankly is the right thing to do if you are the child:)
