    Open World PvP

I have been playing since the last couple of beta weekends, I never got to 50, and when I did, I hoped for tremendous battles on illum, Which has not been what i have experienced. I said okay, I'll play warzones which I have been doing, and they are all well done, I really enjoyed the new wz with 1.2, but the itch is still there. I like the universe, I like the close knit community on my server, I like the roleplaying I experience, but Star Wars has always been about big battles for me. Looking at GW2 they seem to have done it right, the PvP looks incredible. The warzones from what I have heard suck, but the open world PvP looks absolutely amazing. People can actually influence the map, take towns, It seems to be everything open world I wanted from TOR. Will I never give this game a chance again, I hope not. What is here is well done, I expect Bioware can fix the issues, and make this a good game, but for now I feel like once GW2 releases I will be playing that, because it scratches the itch for open world, and it seems the RP community has been more catered to. I don't expect this game to be perfect at release, and I know there is time for it to grow. I want to turn this thread to suggestions and opinions. What do you want to see from P, and is open world a big deal for you, or is it about gear and rank.
  2. okay I'm just gonna bring up a counterexample. in eq 2 you had classes in advance classes. you leveled up your class and then at level 10 you got to decide which 1 of 3 specializations you wanted to take. just because you shared abilities before 10 did not mean you the same class an assassin was hardly a bard. a paladin or shadow night was hardly a guardian. did you get the change your dance class even though you had 3 options and you started out with the same class? the answer is no you did not get to change your advance class. why in this game when you have the same system do you think that the advance classes are the say they are not. advanced classes for so entirely different roles my guardian it's not the same is a sentinel. just because the story is the same does not mean that they're the same class.
  3. Wait a second by scense he meant since, holy **** good job I would have never gotten that one.
  4. Where the hell did you learn to spell, I am not a grammar Nazi, but for ****s sake, the chat thing underlines corrections. Readin, I got that one. Scense, sense, or scenes. Of posts, What? an i have noticed, that in 100% of all of them 1 dev gm bibboss guy ever comment on anything other that???? alfa, are you a rabbit? because i can only assume you mean alfalfa. Learn to write, or it is even harder to take you ranting seriously.
  5. i think he just doesn't like pick up groups, nothing to do with community
  6. bump did this on my server works awesome
  7. We did the thinking of a number system yesterday, it worked, but it is a lot more complicated.
  8. Global LFG channel would be nice, but i think the best LFG system I have ever seen was eq2. Where you could say exactly what you where lfg for, what you role was. and when a group type /lfm, a pop up window came up and you could see who was looking for groups in the area you were going. I mean if you have so many tabs in the GTC you can have a well done LFG window.
  9. You could always go back at 50 and finish the story.
  10. They raised the server pop limits, so what yo are seeing is not in direct comparison to day 1. they were trying to lower queue times. People have left, but it is not as crazy as it seems.
  11. I don't think anyone is calling anyone noobs, I am just fine with some classes being overpowered. I don't nor have I ever like nerfing, I like classes to feel unique, with some who are powerful. It is part of the immersion, I am playing this game for the immersion, and I don't care if I am not the most powerful class. What I have found though is that what always matters most is the player, I know how to approach encounters and take advantage of the skills I am given, and I don't think anyone would call guardians overpowered. I am not just a PvE player who doesn't want their experience to go down because of PvP I play on a PvP server, so I am in combat with other players all the time, and yet I feel there is no need for nerfs.
  12. When people talk about macros, I have only ever used the text ones. I wouldn't mind macros, but Heal Me, or inc target macros would help, or focus on my target. Just basic tanking messages, since it is nigh impossible to type whilst in combat.
  13. Agreed, I also play a guardian and i am in the top 4 for kills most of the wz I play, I like a challenge, let the classes be the way they are. Nerfing takes some of the individuality away, and while i understand the sake of balance, the player behind the keyboard is what matters most.
