  1. How inappropriate. That is akin to saying that anyone with a job has to prefer simple books or dumb films because they are too tired of thinking at work. Any lowering of standards is just that, partial intellectual degeneration. One should strive to have good taste in all endeavours, and feel ashamed of any failure to do so.

  3. I wholeheartedly endorse this. Moreover, many of the outfits don't even look weird. For example, this is very monk-like, while this looks natural on a smuggler. Odd BDSM stuff fits well for the more perverse Sith. Characters need to look more diverse in SWTOR.
  4. It is just mind-boggling how some people want the eggs BoP. Why would anyone want to remove the first feeble attempt at treasure hunting in the game? The economy in SWTOR isn't exceptional as it is, money is not at all as desirable as it should be, and the only part of the economy that is player-run is the combat equipment and perhaps the gifts (too cheap to matter though). The egg mechanic (and the DNA) finally introduces some diversity, though I imagine the high egg prices will be short-lived - the respawn time is small, so the eggs will be common in a month. With luck, this particular spawn (not the mechanic of rare spawns of non-combat items) will be removed from the game, and the pets will become truly rare, whereas the unused eggs will greatly grow in price. Please, don't introduce any unrealistic limits like limiting the number of eggs per character. It just makes no sense. Here are a few more reasonable approaches off the top of my head - not just for the egg, but for rare items spawns in general: Randomise the spawn time a bit (crude and obvious, but still better than BoP), but not too much - make it 4-5 hours instead of 4. Perhaps make this different for different rares: some spawn straight after 4 hours, some have randomisation Randomise the spawn place a bit: say, the egg could spawn anywhere on the mountain, sometimes even being inaccessible (it would just respawn elsewhere if not gathered within, say, 12 hours) Make the looting channel fairly long, for about 20 seconds, so that other players can interrupt your looting. Perhaps even randomise the looting time a tad, so that the first to start looting isn't necessarily the first to finish - uncertain rewards are great Give the spawn a guardian that would attack you while you're trying to loot the egg to prevent low-level alts from camping sites Ultima Online had a very wholesome rares hunting mechanic, though it benefited from having non-instances player houses, so everyone could actually see massive amounts of these rares. But in SWTOR, rares can still be fairly extensive: equipment, pets, companion customisations, emotes, vehicles, ship upgrades (few people can see these though). MMOs degenerated a lot since UO's release due to catering to people like the BoP crowd, but I'm quite confident any game would still benefit from involving non-combat, social items in the economy and diversifying gameplay.
