  1. .... When you can 6 cap in under four minutes in Huttball because people don't know how to push your healer buddy off his perch at mid-top. .... When it's 2am, you're in a guild group, and there is absolute radio silence on vent and you sit there after the game is over wondering how you ever [] won / [] lost. .... When you get stuck behind the starting wall in Voidstar, but it ONLY affects you, and you get booted shortly thereafter. .... When your daily or weekly has been at 1 win to complete for a dozen games in a row. (For any reason.) .... When that [] Hard Mode / [] Operation slot you've been waiting on all week for opens sixty seconds after the match starts, and gets filled by a pug sixty seconds before it ends. .... When the "one button wonderkid" kills you for the umpteenth time as he pushes 1 like a dipping bird toy, and then talks trash like an internet tough guy. .... When you look at the scoreboard at the end and 8+ people between both teams have the ability to guard ... but you're the only one on the protection list ... and you don't get a single mvp vote. .... When you have more protection than the rest of your team and theirs combined ... but you don't get a mvp vote. .... When you get tired of the inherent advantage premades have in voting for the mvp. .... When you gripe about the MVP system waaaayyyy too much =D AND .... When at the end of the of the Warzone you get the compliment "I don't care what you all say, XXXX is the mvp and my @#$$%^ Hero." and have multiple people agree.
  2. Everything is situational, but I follow some guidelines for choosing my guard targets. PvE: 1)The closest melee dps to soak splash damage. This person is also most likely next in line for hate should you be stunned/mezzed/told you're ugly by the mob you're tanking. 2) The Healer in the event a large group of mobs that you know, or may not, be able to tank at once. 3) That guy that will never wait for you to pull and group your melee mobs, or who thinks cc is a waste of time. Everyone else I have Intercept and Taunts for. PvP: 1) The closest melee dps or healer at the start. Operatives are usually keen on my radar as they can be both specs and will usually be close to the combat. 2) During battles, the nearest person getting focused if I have a dedicated healer or am at greater than 50% OR the person who is below 50% that I intercept to. I've saved many a posterior rolling my fingers from intercept to guard in one motion. 3) The guildie in vent who is attached at the hip, only changing guards to save a healer.
  3. Resilient mods iirc. (At least, at 50 they are?) You cannot get them from a crafter, they are quested only, to my knowledge. At 50 you can farm the Heroic 2 Freeing the Fallen on Belsavis for a Resilient 22B once per day. Sub 50 you need to do Heroics and Bonus Quest lines for the tank mods, or just use what comes in orange gear as it will usually have a balanced str/end pre 50, but no tank stats. Good Luck.
  4. Is it viable? = Yes Can YOU make it work? = Maybe? To get the most out of it you have to be on top of your intercede / leap positioning 100% of the time, as well as your rage generation. Hybrid does generate more threat via damage over time, but has no real snap aggro in the form of backhand. I've been debating this back and forth myself lately, but I just feel that until I have a Op on farm I would rather get the "smoothness" of a full tank spec until we've cleared everything.
  5. 4/10, for a few reasons. I don't like canned pvp. I felt that the battlegrounds system ruined WoW and Warzones have the exact same feel. But, I came from the "completely open" mindset of EQ1 so I may never again be satisfied from this perspective. Aside from that the only mechanics gripe (aside from bugs, which are fixable) I have is the fact that there are no elemental or internal resistances of yet on gear. As a tank i'm a glorified speedbump for half the AC specs out there in the current build. The rest of the system, as a whole is pretty decent and, while not ground breaking, enjoyable with a few friends. The major problem I have is actually performance issues. I lag EVERYWHERE in pvp. Alderaan is like swimming through jello, Huttball has some major positioning issues with certain abilities, and illum is a slideshow if i'm standing in a corner by myself turning in circles. So, you could say my issue with the PvP is not the PvP itself, but the implementation of the game in relation to it. I find it ridiculous that more than a decade old programs, in comparison, have better client stability (and in turn server stability) than a game published in 2011. If the programmers could clear up the issues, or pull their head out of the .. erm ... sand, i'd rate this as a 7 of higher at launch. As it stands now I would not be playing pvp if it weren't for my guildmates sympathetic pvp groups. We all hate it, but those dailies don't do themselves.
  6. You people complaining of double digit schematic returns are cute. I'm in the triples on EACH of two different blue ears trying for purples for lvl 47. Edit: for clarity.
  7. The real problem is you can NEVER have enough blues / purples from UT. Having to buy them means you are subject to the GTN market fluctuations and significantly risk being overcharged for your items, or not getting them when you need them. For leveling I guess it would be alright to keep slicing as you could still make basic mods and grenades with just Scavenging and Cybertech, leveling your skill that way. Paying for mats for BoP things like speeders would cost you more than buying the vendor ones outright, and our ability to use Cybertech for any sort of money making would be greatly diminished. So, things to consider.
  8. Do your research, don't live in ignorance. Shadow Tank stance. ------ Back OT though, I just crested 225 Cybertech and have been finding the exact same issue as the posters. I've also RE'd mass quantities (30+ I can think of in the last weekend alone) of Guardian mods bought from commendations hoping to get a recipe even for a low level one. This doesn't appear to work, or at least, isn't the way to get Guardian mods for Cybertech. I'm not going to even think of changing though. As a Juggernaut the profession allows me access to more AoE damage and CC options, which i'm lacking. I'll live with that, the cool rides, and the fact I can't keep ship upgrades on the GTN because I can't make them faster than they sell.
