  1. I've heard this many times - that mauraders/sents have the highest skill cap. I've been leveling a shadow, but this almost makes me want to switch. Do any other classes come close to the maurader skill cap?
  2. Greeting. Liked the changes I saw to SWTOR and reactivated my account. I'm doing my research to select the class I want to focus on. I'd love to get the opinion of the community. We can keep the class names on the imperial side for consistency. Here's what I like: 1) My number 1 priority is skill cap. I really enjoy classes that are very deep (and complicated), where I can dedicate a lot of time to getting better with the actual class mechanics. Note that this doesn't mean that I enjoy playing the most gimp class because it's "harder". The real definition of skill cap is "scales well with player skill". 2) I do enjoy light sabers. What can I say? I'm only human. However, this isn't a priority at all. 3) I enjoy being a hybrid and having the opportunity to switch roles. 4) I enjoy looking awesome! I sometimes select classes based on how cool their end-game gear looks. Thanks, folks!

    Some data

I'm a professional statistician. This is a very flawed study, weighted toward those classes that have higher population sizes (variable n) and whatever map you see mostly. Only bioware could possibly have the tools and data to undertake a study like this and have it be empirical.
  4. How is operative healing in PVP? I cant find ANY threads on this!!!!
  5. I liek the idea of duplicates so that I can have multiple sets (with different stats) of the same "type" pvp gear. I'm a juggernaut and if I want to go tanky, I can easily with my other set. All "dual purpose" classes benefit from this. However, mauraders and snipers do not. I can see your argument, but I kinda like the system.
  6. Ths only problem I seem to be having is with impale -- 4 rage is 1/3 of your maximum amount of rage and eats up all the current rage I have. However, it is a nice threat ability (with either the extra crit or bleed). I feel like I had more rage with immortal. Remember, the Vengeance tree comes with a stance that decreases rage cost by 1 of most your abilities ... and Immortal has a talent that increases rage production in "your tanking stance". Not only do you miss out on these great aspects of each tree, but you have some high-cost abilities like impale.
  7. Great advice. I'm seeing a lot of level 49 implants for around 40k. Are they worth it? or will the be replaced very soon? Any other advice?
  8. You reminded me that there is a 5 second increase to enduring pain in the Immortal tree. From what I understand, the 4% reduction in elemental and internal damage is not contingent upon using the ability.
  9. I just wanted to reach out to the community to understand the most efficient way to gear my Juggernaut. I have already done enough dailies to put 126 armorings on all my modable gear. Now what? Seems like I should keep running dailies to save for my implants and run some HMs to get other gear. But is this the best way? Thanks!
  10. Oh and you lose 4% reduction in elemental/internal damage. So it looks like: Venge Hybrid: Better threat 4% overall dmg reduction 20% reduction 4 seconds after charge ( could be very valuable in certain fights) 4% more endurance Immortal: A little less threat 4% decrease in elemental / internal damage Small shield after Shout 4% higher shield chance Hmm...It is tough, but I would say they look somewhat equal -- maybe hybrid has more threat and immortal has more mitigation?
  11. It seems to have better survivability (i.e. 4% damage reduction vs. 4% increase in shield proc chance) and better damage / threat generation. Has anyone noticed this to be true?
  12. How viable is the 14/27 Tanking spec that I've been seeing so much of lately. I'm sure it's viable in any Hardmode out there, but is it raid viable? I think this would be great for PVP too!
  13. If rift had 1/4 the budget of SWTOr, they would make a 10x better game.
  14. Remember: Juggernauts originally were strictly a tanking AC. The talents were seeing are probably from the old build and there wasn't enough time to truly make sense of Vengeance. Also, we share Rage...does it surprise anyone that Rage actually decent DPS? It is the only DPS tree we have that was built before the "change" (for mauraders btw).
